This is purely a review for the pub and not the hostel (which looks very nice but I haven't stayed there).
This little quaint pub is a throw back to the time of my parents and possibly even my grandparents. They have all manner of things from wellies to light bulbs on sale behind the counter. The floor space is small but great to chat w the locals. The bar man is friendly and full of banter. This is truly a traditional Irish pub in every sense-the old counter, the polished brass, the stuff for sale-it feels like a step back in time.
Totally worth a trip for locals and guests alike! Beware though, not sure if there is a local taxi so plan to have a designated driver! read more
