I did not go into the restaurant (my wife picked up), so this is strictly based on the food. Pizza is such a personalized dish. What one person loves the next guy hates. So this is a difficult review to write. We grabbed a couple pizzas and the breadsticks flight as we were planning to entertain another couple for the evening. The supreme pizza did not have overwhelming flavor and was very thin crusted but not crispy. The margherita pizza was very tomatoey (if that's a word). Both good but nothing to write home about. The breadsticks were the same but the jalopeno bread should come with a warning...they pack a punch. They are very good but can catch you off guard. All in all, this place is ok but I won't return because it's not my favorite pizza style. read more

Solid pizza, nothing special there (I always order pepperoni the first time at a place as a baseline), but I really enjoyed the Jalapeño breadsticks w/ Queso cheese. Stopped in Saturday. Ordered a 14" Double Double, the place smelled great. The pizza crust was soft and limp wouldn't hold a slice upright when picking up. Service took longer than expected for as few people were present. Breadsticks (bacon and jalepeno) were great! Will try again before writing off. read more

The pizza is excellent, best I have had in Kokomo. They do have a habit of over estimating the time it takes to cook. If the say 45 to 55 minutes I would arrive after 40. I'm willing to wait a few minutes to HM get it hot out of the oven. read more

Tried Oscars for the first time and it's easily the best pizza in Kokomo. Great options for pizza toppings and taste was amazing. I ordered take out but the building is super cute with quaint indoor and outdoor seating so I will probably eat there next time. Okay so I was told this is a hot spot in Kokomo. I didn't know that they stop serving pizza by the slice at 3pm. Of course I come in at 3:15. I saw some people eating slices so I was bummed at that. Hey that's their policy. So I drive 30 mins to try this place out so I was leaving with something. I noticed they had a sign for Wednesday $1 off a Calzone. I bought the sausage Calzone at first it looked good but when I started eating it there was really no flavor. Also their sausage is ground sausage not slices of sausage. They put so much of the ground sausage in it that it took over the calzone. That was different! The calzone was really really greasy and the marinara sauce wasn't that great. I tell you one thing the calzone was huge for $8. They have a nice outdoor area and the inside is really nice and clean on a cobblestone Street. I will try them out one more time for a slice before 3pm. read more

Garlic knots are by far sub par no garlic flavor basically dry bread. Pizza lacks on flavor but that is my opinion. But great service in the restaurant an very quick. Very different music on in the restaurant. read more

Can say the pizza tastes better than average, but the service is quite poor. Upon one ordering of the pizza, the bottom was charred, it was late so I didn't check it, the staff walked up and told me "hey we burnt the bottom, but is this okay?" well, with a pizza so hot I couldn't eat it at the moment, and just looking at it, fine it was okay, but taking it home it was a completely burnt-tasting pizza. The customer service when bringing it up to them of course, was rude, and of course, they would rather give you a "burnt" pizza instead of actually cooking it right. Clearly they make out by being close to the center of town and having a so-so recipie, but if you like pizza either burnt or so uncooked it falls off your fork, this is the place. We waited over an hour on a Saturday night, which doesn't sound bad, except there was, at total, maybe 6 groups in the whole restaurant. When we ordered, no one said anything about being backed up. When we got my "Stromboli" it was a complete grease bomb. Also, crust is so thin and greasy you can see through it and it was falling apart. Good New York style pizza! The atmosphere is fun with great decor and the place is clean, I like all of these things. I'm dinging them a star though because when we walked in we didn't know that you seat yourself and that you have to order your food at the window. All kinds of young folks working there but nobody said hi and and while we stood there looking confused, they just stared back at us. Like dudes, help us out! First time visit: We bought a grandma style all meat pizza, garlic butter pepperoni and sausage Stromboli (no pizza sauce) Greek salad, and garlic knots with cheese. We were mixed in our feelings towards the pizza. I felt it was average but the others in my party felt it was very good. My issue is I don't care so much for pizza that has little to no sauce. The knots and salad were good but the Stromboli was awesome. We had them make it special with no sauce and replace it with garlic butter and give us a cup of pizza sauce on the side. Fantastic! Pizza Hut, Papa John's, and Dominos wish that their frozen, processed "pizza's" tasted so good. I've lived abroad for a few years now, lacking decent pizza options, and I always make it a point to visit Oscar's at LEAST once every time I visit home. Coming from Nashville, Tennessee, I've been spoiled with good food and good pizza. My family and I have tried several pizza places here in Kokomo, but Oscar's is officially our favorite.
