She cared for our daughter as if she were her own and took the time to thoroughly examine her and explain everything to us. Dr. Honey prescribed medication for our baby, and within the very first day we noticed a huge improvement -- her eczema and heat rash had already started clearing up. Instead of treating me respectfully as a parent making informed medical decisions for my own child, I was immediately met with a lecture from a front desk receptionist about their vaccine policy and was essentially told my child would not even be allowed to be seen at the office. Parents deserve respectful conversations with actual providers -- not condescending, scripted education from non-clinical staff over the phone. Whether someone follows the standard vaccine schedule, delays vaccines, or declines certain vaccines altogether, that is ultimately a decision between parents and their child's healthcare provider. The entire interaction felt judgmental, dismissive, and unnecessarily hostile before I had even stepped foot into the office. After reading many of the other negative reviews, my experience unfortunately seems consistent with the culture here. Definitely not the welcoming or compassionate pediatric environment I was hoping for. There are plenty of other wonderful providers who won't force any decisions on you as a parent. At 10:45 one of the office workers came into the room to tell us the dr was running behind and would be there at 11 (already an hour after our appointment time). At 11:20 i asked for an update and they said they weren't sure where the dr was or what time he would be getting there. With such a long delay with 3 kids, i was pretty shocked they offered us nothing to entertain the kids - no toys, no coloring, no stickers. Kids were crying after waiting for almost 2 hours in a drs office, staff did not seem to care. We ended up just deciding to leave without seeing the dr, wasted an entire morning with 2 hours in the office. After all this, they said they don't validate parking. So ended up having to pay for absolutely nothing, kids missed a day of school, we missed a day of work. I don't know how it could've been a worse experience. Bad location, bad parking situation, bad customer service in the office. Will not be rescheduling or recommending unfortunately.

Other main issue was when they introduced their membership fees charging upward $300 yearly for services that are standard and that had always been free. He has been a calming and positive part of our family's life since the day our son was born 4 years ago. Being first time parents, Dr Irwin always takes a moment to ask about us. How are we feeling? How are we getting along? My husband recently had dental surgery and was still recovering when my son came down the flu. A doctor is only as good as the support staff and this one is top notch. Every single interaction we've had with the front desk staff has been 100% positive and helpful. If Dr Irwin isn't available to see our son when he's sick (though, quite often, he is available) the other doctors we've seen in the same office are caring and thorough and put us and our son at ease. The on call nurses who are available to talk to us over the phone have always been very informed and great communicators. We even visited with an in-house lactation consultant here. The office itself is clean and bright and stocked with entertaining items for the kids. The front office is 2-sided - one side for healthy kids and one side with its own entrance for sick kids.
