The typical dish here has their style of chicken with rice or fries, or both, or even inside of a shawarma. I really enjoy the food and think it's worth the price, as you can definitely share the meals. I've tried the half and half chicken (rice & fries with chicken), as well as their super shawarma! They are both very good and filling to the max. Even when sharing with two people it can be a little much due to the richness of the sauce and the density of the carbs. Came here to grab a quick lunch after reading some of the yelp reviews. I am sad to say, I am disappointed with the food and service. Upon walking in, I noticed a dead fly that has been squished behind a poster on the front door, and it wasn't like this was on an odd corner, it was at eye level! I am sure employees and owner would walk by it everyday and see that, yet no one cleaned it up. GROSS! That just comes to show how clean the store can possibility be. At this point, I continued to walk in the store (Stupid me). When you walk in, you'll noticed that the meats are not cooking on a spit. It's cooked on a grill. (Not that it really matters to me, just as long as it's GOOD) An employee was standing by the cashier, ready to take my order, however she didn't greed me.. not even a SMILE. I ordered chicken on the rocks. She asked me how I am paying, I asked if they took credit. She just said yes. Now because I read the yelp reviews, I know they charge a surcharge $0.35 for credit/debit. But she never once mentioned this, I only saw on the screen and asked her and that was when she told me that there was. So I said I'll just pay cash. I did notice that under the POS screen there is a piece of paper that's curled up and saw $0.35. I only only assume that was the only notice given to customers. They really should tell customers if you're using credit/debit, that there will be a surcharge. By the time I finished paying, my food was ready. (Everything is already precooked.) Like all the other yelp photos has shown, the rice and meat is DRENCHED in the "garlic" sauce. Now I guess another stupid thing I did was I KNEW going in that they do that.. but little did I know WHY. It's because NOTHING else has any flavour what so ever! Rice? bland.. chicken? BLAND. Also the sauce did not have much garlic taste either. I felt like I was just eating everything in a cream sauce with a hint of garlic flavour mixed in with a little bit of the hot sauce. After a few bites, I got sick to my stomach from the heaviness. The plate comes with nothing else just rice and chicken. I would've preferred if there was a side salad, pickled turnips, or potatoes. I got a medium and ate less than a quarter of it. This wasn't the worst thing I've had but I will not be going back. This is my go to cheap shawarma place. I come here when I have a craving for shawarma. It is the best shawarma I've had?...No...but it is still delicious and it satisfies my shawarma craving. When I go here I usually get the chicken shawarma half/half. I ordered this the first time because I couldn't decide between rice or fries....this way I didn't have to choose because you get both. I ended up loving it so much that now it's all I order from here. The rice is flavourful, the fries is always hot and crispy, the chicken is plentiful, and the garlic sauce is delicious. I order a large half/half and it's enough to share with 2 people without feeling hungry after. Being able to control the amount of spiciness is nice.... I tried medium spice and it was too spicy for me so I got little spice and it was just right. The eating area is very small. It's mostly a takeout place. The service is fast and friendly. Went to this place after walking around and saw a sign for Sharwarma poutine. Now i love good sharwarma and good poutine. How could i not try the Sharwarma poutine. Honestly i have to say it is pretty decent, it wasn't what i expected at all. but it tasted pretty good. The sharwarma poutine small i suggest is more of a two people thing to tackle. not really meant for once person to consume that much I think the price has shown, cause it wasn't cheap either, it was around 13 bucks for this poutine. I have to admit thought they really tried to make sure you get your money's worth, they did not hold back on the sharwma meat or the garlic sauce and spicy sauce. So unlike regular poutine the spicy sauce would basically replace the gravy. It was actually surprisingly nice, although heavy taste for a single person. I think next time i'm around the area i would make sure i have someone else around, and also more importantly i would call ahead. Cause the cooking of this poutine also took an extraordinary long time which is part of what made them lose the star. I would however recommend those to try it at least once, who have not. read more

The person at the cashier told me it would be a 30 minutes wait time for the food and I was ok with that thinking it was worth the wait but when I came back after 30 minutes he told me another 10 minutes. If this was my first time, I would give 1 or 2 stars, but I know they can do better. It started off woth the cashiers, they aren't too friendly. Furthermore, roght after dealing with the money, I watched him go on to the back to work on the food without washing his hands. No gloves are used either when preparing food. This time, the chicken on rocks seemed smaller. Despite getting a large, it was not that filling which is SO unusual. The first time I went here was last year with my friend. I had "chicken on sticks" it was really good. Sticks means fries. We ordered "chicken on sticks with extra garlic sauce" you'd think that with all the sauce they put in top it would make the fries soggy but it didn't! This is my go to spot for reasonably priced, tasty Mediterranean food. The service is always prompt, accurate and I've never been kept waiting more than ten minutes for my order. Every time I've gone, I get either the chicken on the rocks (on rice) or chicken on the sticks (on fries). The chicken is fresh off the spit and the fries somehow manage to stay crispy even under the sauce and chicken. They also offer a scale of how spicy you want the dish to be. Note that the spice level doesn't change the sauce used, they just add more lines of the hot sauce depending on your preference. Not much to say about the ambiance here - it's definitely designed to be a take-out establishment. The inside is very clean though and the staff are attentive to keeping the few tables inside tidy. Overall, this is a solid take-out spot and is a nice alternative to your typical fast food offerings. read more

I would give it four stars, but I know that the quality can vary sometimes. I used to be a regular when I lived nearby and my go-to dish would be the off-menu "half and half": a hybrid of the chicken on the rocks (rice) and the chicken on sticks (french fries). I'm a fan of spicy food and I like that they offer a broad spectrum of levels of spiciness. I like the "extra spicy" option, and find that it doesn't entirely overthrow the taste of the food. I have had the "suicide spicy" option before, but found that it would go overboard and that I wouldn't be able to taste anything apart from the spice.
