Each call ended with "sorry the mailbox is full". So my only option was to drive (which was 40 min). When I went to booth for the snorkel gear, was told they no longer had rentals there. They directed me to drive across the bridge. Only option was to buy everything which totaled over $125.00. Needless to say...a very expensive snorkel trip!

Captain Jacob and his deck mate Liz are amazing. Jacob after a very thorough safety talk and a hands on way to safely move around the boat gave us a perfect tour. Jacob was knowledgeable of the area. Gave us a view of Dolphins and set us up for a perfect sunset. Liz was very professional when it came to hoisting the sails and assisting Jacob with the safety talk. Liz excelled with taking care of every need of us the guests. They supplied beverages of many varieties and Liz prepared and presented the food that we brought for our cruise. We had a friend with us that was afraid of water, not able to swim, and Liz checked in her regularly to make sure she was comfortable. Both Jacob and Liz made sure safety was the number one priority without taking away from the fun asking experience. We were under the sails for quite a while The entire experience was fantastic. Barges and boats will dock here and there is frequently a concession boat since the island has no amenities. A little walk towards the gulf will bring you midway to a "kiddie pool" safe for kids to swim and play in or adults to relax. The water is truly great in both those spots. The gulf here is absolutely beautiful. There are small intact and crushed shells on the beach line and in the water about knee deep there are medium shells if you dig around. Waist deep are where the large shells are. There are plenty of these but you have to work for them. Bring goggles, flippers, etc. and it will be easy. We went on a day when the jelly larva were swarming so we stayed knee deep and still enjoyed ourselves and got a few good shells. If there had been no jellies we could have found A LOT more and bigger ones for sure. The further you walk down the gulf side the more secluded you will be. Get there on first boat out!

Other boats for dolphin tours were loaded down with 30 or 40+ people ...ours was 5 people on a nice boat with comfortable seating for everyone. nice!! not over crowded. captain Glen was super sweet and kept checking if we were cool. I highly recommend this company and this captain for a great experience. and comfortable boat. we saw many dolphins and even got to feed beach deer. BONUS. snorkeling was so fun we found sand dollars and star fish. just super cool experience!!

We booked a private tour with Captain Matt and had an amazing time! We saw a pod of dolphins…read more(including a baby) and other wildlife! I'm in my second trimester and Matt was an excellent navigator to provide us with a smooth ride. I definitely recommend booking the private tour so you can customize your trip, we spent the 2 hours looking/swimming with the dolphins but we also had the option of snorkeling or exploring shell island. We did the 2 hour tour but next time, we would recommend the 3 hour tour. Highly encourage you to schedule you a tour!
