I saw Dr. Troy Knutson, DC, at this clinic. My first visit went well, and I was satisfied enough at…read morethe time to leave a positive review. Unfortunately, my second visit resulted in a serious and medically documented injury. During that appointment, my lower back was adjusted in a way that immediately led to severe complications. Shortly afterward, I was unable to have bowel movements, and my condition rapidly worsened to the point that I had to go to the ER. I was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with a perforated colon, requiring a week-long hospitalization. After being discharged, I contacted Dr. Knutson directly. He acknowledged the situation and told me he had informed Dr. Alex Twenge, DC, and that corrective care would be provided. Despite those assurances, no meaningful or appropriate follow-up care occurred. I have text message documentation confirming these communications. This experience raised serious concerns for me about the standard of care and the lack of accountability afterward. The physical, emotional, and personal impact has been significant, including time lost with my family that I cannot get back. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage others to carefully consider their options and proceed with extreme caution before seeking treatment here.

I ended up with Dr. Madore. He sent me for an x-ray and spent no more than 3 minutes on my exam. He then told me I had a "mild sprain" and to take Advil, which if he had even glanced at my chart, he would see I could not take. Due to the amount of pain and swelling, I was reassessed at Methodist and diagnosed with a full ACL tear and a partial MCL tear. If Dr. Madore had listened to the cause of the injury and done a thorough exam, he might have made a more accurate diagnosis. I will be having an ACL reconstruction....not at St. Francis....next week.
