When I phoned for an appointment, I was totally surprised to hear that a haircut would cost me between £29-£35, depending on what it was! This is possibly the cheapest hair cut I've had in London. I can't remember the owner's name but she was completely lovely, chatty and bright. The place was really quiet and it made a change from pretentious, clinical surroundings. The truth is, this was not the best hair cut in the world but she gave me exactly what I wanted - just a trim, nothing to wild. I've often said the same to other hairdressers but come out looking like Rod Stewart! So I was gad she listened to what I said at least. This isn't wild and whacky, you get what you pay for but I left in a great mood and totally happy.

Jane Edwards has been happy to work with me; rather than loading my hair down with products or insisting that I need to straighten it, she cuts it to emphasize the curls so it's easy to take care of. Everyone I've encountered there is friendly, they're efficient without making you feel rushed, and they take care in their work. I always leave with a smile on my face and a skip in my step to show off my nicely cut, bouncy hair.

I was left with colour on my scalp for 50 minutes just because she was juggling between two appointments at the same time. I ended up having a burn on my scalp. The worst part was that not only was she rude but also nobody apologised. Also the receptionist did not bother answering to my questions. She just said "You are not my client" and she did not help me at all. I felt humiliated and this is categorically my last visit at MP4!
