I asked if there would be a hole left. She said there would be no hole and only one stitch. After the procedure, she told me put in 3 stitches. After the scan fell off; there was a huge hole. She told me not to have the stitches removed for 10 days. When I returned to Canada, 3 separate doctors told me the stitches should be removed in 5-7 days. 2 doctors were confused why she prescribed me an antibiotic which was delaying healing. One doctor advised against the follow up cream she prescribed. Now, 6 weeks later, the wound has healed. But it had healed as a hole, with a giant noticeable scar. It is 100% worse than the non-noticeable mole. I am in film work, and lost work because of this. She never explained any possible negative outcomes. She never explained how long the healing process would be. I will have to go for plastic surgery to have this fixed. I am currently on a wait list. The psychological nightmare continues daily. I swing between servere depression and anxiety over this. Castillon will not refund me my money and has stooped responding to me. As far as I am concerned, this is medical malpractice. I am seeking legal action for financial compensation.

Anyway, I did a lot of research and found Dr Alejandro Guerrero Torres. As I was doing with several doctors in Puerto Vallarta and Guadalajara, I sent photos and did an online consultation. I was most impressed with Dr Guerrero Torres because of all of the docs, he most closely suggested what I already knew I wanted. I am 49 and had very minimal cheek drooping and the early early stages of growing jowls and a crepey neck. It is best to get this done early while your skin is still elastic. I felt with Dr G that he was not trying to just get money, he wanted a great outcome. Other doctors suggested MUCH larger procedures and I am not stupid, I did not believe that I needed all of that. I dont have eye droopy lids or bags or hollows, all I had was a little extra skin on my neck and jowls and a little tightening of the cheek muscle to keep things held up. But I listened to the opinions of al of the doctors and they varied greatly. Dr. G went over all of it with me and what I originally suspected was exactly what he suggested. I was afraid that if I went for the huge overhaul some other suggested, I would wind up with that perpetually shocked expression of women who get too much plastic surgery. So a lot of communication was via email. I had 2 out of 3 embryos that made it to Day 5, something embryologist said was very rare so my hopes were way up. Almost $15,000USD down the drain later, IVF didn't work. All the doctor could say is was my eggs are old. As an aside, if you're staying in Puerto Vallarta, there's a public bus - for only 10 pesos as of 01/19! - that will take you pretty much right to her door. Take any city bus to the south side of PV, then make your way to the corner of Basilio Badillo and Calle Constitución. The bus to Boca stops there. Painted white, with a reddish brown stripe and it will have Boca de Tomatlan and/or Mismaloya on the front.
