If you dont have a back problem before you go there, the chances are that you will have one by the time you come back. As I walked up, clutching the hedges for balance, I saw a young woman in perfectly sensible shoes fall down flat. Once you get inside, the disrepair of the building is shocking.If you know anybody in the film world searching for a Crimean War hospital location, they need look no further, it is all here, and judging by the finances of the BSO, they will jump at the cash. The examination was pretty much standard-the BSO is apparently private,although mine was an NHS referral. The trainee osteopaths I saw (four at one go, which does make you feel a bit like an exhibit) all looked incredibly young and were all very sweet. Never had I felt so worried about leaving a medical surgery. Having made it to the bottom I saw an alarmed looking elderly lady starting the ascent.She flashed me a smile"Property must be cheap in this road, anyway". Quite.

There are 4 doctors available but it is sometimes tricky to get an appointment if you are not flexible with time. I've found early morning (8.30am is when they open) or late afternoon to be the most successful times. A really good extra is they have a full travel clinic that will give you prescriptions and administer most jabs needed for travel in Africa, Asia etc.
