I've learned about my body type, and through diet, herbal supplements, and walking (exercise) the pyramidal pivot for recovery, I've been able to achieve this unbelievable feat. It's not a yo-yo effect but a permanent solution; she also assisted me in overcoming my stubborn migraines. She is a great listener, soft-spoken, no judging, works out an individual plan to suit your goal, and Dr.Manvikar is resilient to help you achieve your target objective. I highly recommend her for any of your health needs! Thanks, Dr.Manvikar, for your support and assistance to me. God bless!

I was having GI trouble. My primary care doc is trained in integrative medicine and, unfortunately,…read morethe results of the tests she did were inconclusive. So she recommended Ayurveda, which brought up a new challenge for me. I know how to find an Ayurvedic doctor in India, but how do I find a suitable one locally? I had two major criteria: Excellent training and a kind and caring person. And I found just the right person. Dr. Asavari Manvikar fits both criteria. She trained in India at a premier institution in Pune, India, getting both her bachelor's and master's degrees. Her thesis was awarded a gold medal by the Institute of Medicine. She served as a Doctor of Ayurveda Medicine, faculty member at an Ayurveda college where she conducted and published research on integrative approaches for illnesses like cancer and diabetes. Then she trained in the US in integrative medicine--great! Now, she teaches a graduate level class in Ayurveda at the Univ of MN. Wonderful qualifications! As soon as I met her, I knew I had found the person I wanted to work with. She was warm and very easy to talk with. She listened very well and was respectful and kind. In all or our interactions, I have felt very comfortable and well cared for and listened to. I have found Ayurveda to be extremely helpful and my GI system is much more resilient now. Of course, after a life time of GI troubles, I knew it would take a while and, indeed, it did. After a couple of years I noticed that I was much more resilient. Not just my GI system (fewer tummy upsets, able to eat more things than before w/o stomach issues) but my immune system as well. My allergies were much better, my sleep improved and I had more energy. I have been able to stay off strong Western medicines--they helped me when I needed them but I did not want to be on them forever. And the changes have held over time and I feel so much better. I am so glad I am using Ayurveda and very pleased to be working with such a competent and caring professional. If you are looking for a natural approach to helping your body, I suggest trying Ayurveda. It is gentle and takes a holistic approach addressing mind, body and spirit. And I strongly recommend you seek treatment from Dr. Manvikar. I know you will like her and she will help you. I wish you all the best on your healing journey.

I worked with the Mayo Clinic to address the immediate fatigue issues, but have had significant lingering fibro symptoms since. I have seen several physical therapists and massage therapists, with temporary benefit from all of them, but none of them have "cracked the case." This summer (2019), I did a 10-series with Jennifer, starting in June. It is now the end of August, and I have been essentially pain-free for this entire time frame. To say this is a relief is an understatement. I've also noticed significant changes in my posture and a fluidity in my movement that I haven't had in several years. Jennifer was extremely professional, and I was impressed with the systematic approach she took to this process. I feel it is my responsibility to learn as much as possible in order to continue to manage this condition, and Jennifer was very willing to answer the questions I had that will allow me to better understand my body and the condition as a whole. In addition to the pain relief, this has given me hope that I will be able to continue to improve my own management of this condition and return to the more active lifestyle I desire. Side note: I do believe that I would have benefited from rolfing long before I got sick. If you are at all wondering if you should do this, you should!

For people…read morelike me who are very sick, this alternative approach to pain management can be life-changing.   My chronic pain, caused by an immune disorder, hovered around 8 or 9 (out of 10) despite my taking high doses of pain medications. I came across a study on the use of Ketamine for chronic pain patients, and I decided to undergo 5 successive pain infusions under the care of Dr. Mottaghi at Enigma, each consisting of around 5 hours. I'd like to stress that the treatments are by no means fun but are demanding and draining both physically and emotionally. My wife was with me throughout the infusions, and she drove me there and back. After every infusion, I went home, ate a little, and slept until the next day's treatment. My health insurance did not cover the cost of the infusions, so there was a financial investment as well.   It's been 3 weeks since my infusions ended, and the results have been life-changing. My overall pain has dropped to a 3 or 4, and I have cut my pain medications by 60%. My muscles are no longer spasming all over my body, and my overall inflammation is down. I am experiencing expected withdrawals from my pain meds, and I am working through this discomfort gradually. I am able to sleep for 6 to 8 hours every night, after years of no more than 2 hours interrupted sleep nightly. It's no surprise that I feel more hopeful and cheerful as well.    At this point, I intend to see how long the pain relief lasts. I was advised by Dr. Mottaghi that each patient is unique, and that I can do a booster infusion in the future if my pain begins to spike again. By so doing, I hope not to have to undergo a full 5-day treatment ever again.   I'll add that Dr. Mottaghi warned me that some patients may experience what's called a rebound pain--a temporary spike of pain around 5 days after the infusions end. This pain can last for a few days before it disappears. However, I did not experience any rebound pain.   I am very grateful to Dr. Mottaghi. For the first time in decades I feel hopeful about living in my broken body.

I was treated at Enigma Ketamine Therapy for migraine pains, which I have suffered from all my…read morelife. My infusion was 2 days ago, and tonight I was able to enjoy watching 4 hours of television without torturing pain. I have never been able to see a movie without having to take migraine medicine in the middle, and I always ended up with a strong migraine at the end of the movie, even with the medications. To watch more than 2 hours of television was impossible--until tonight. This, I think, is just the beginning of a change in my health. MY EXPERIENCE The compassion and understanding of Jamie and Dr. Mottaghi encouraged me to try this path of alternative medicine. I opted for a 1 hour Ketamine infusion, typically used for patients with depression or anxiety. I was aware that one strong trigger for my migraines is my strong empathy with the characters in the movie, which leads to crying. Since Ketamine can treat both emotional and pain conditions, I decided to give it a try. THE ROOM My private room was cozy and beautiful, with a very comfortable reclining chair for me, as well as a comfortable chair for my husband, who remained with me throughout the infusion. There was a large plant in the room, and the shades were down. An Aurora Beaurialis lamp created soothing patterns on the ceiling. Dr. Mottaghi was very careful in finding a vein, which is very difficult with me. He was incredibly patient and reassuring. He explained what I should expect at every step, and before starting the infusion he reassured me that "You will be safe. I am here the whole time. We can stop the treatment if you wish at any time." THE EXPERIENCE After starting the infusion, Dr. Mottaghi left the room, and I was in my chair with my husband in his chair beside me, holding my hand. I was quickly drawn into a world that I felt my mind was creating. It looked like a velvety landscape of colorful lava. The rational part of my brain remained aware of my existence somewhere in a chair with my husband holding my hand. I knew that this (normal) reality existed, but I felt myself living now in a reality created by my mind. I felt anxious at the very beginning, and I said to my husband, "Fear," and then he started talking to me. After that his voice guided me through a surreal and fascinating experience that I didn't want to end. It was beautiful and fascinating, and I just let go and waited to see what incredible textures, colors, and motion will unfold before my mind's eye. And the whole time I heard my husband sharing beautiful thoughts with me. AFTERWARDS After the infusion was stopped, Dr. Mottaghi removed my IV. I took my time coming to myself. Dr. Mottaghi explained that my motor functions will be impaired for a while. With the help of my husband I sat in a wheelchair, and we visited the bathroom together, then he wheeled me to the car and we drove home. I was able to eat in the car without any problem, to speak and be almost normal, except that I felt very tired and my head felt like it was spinning slightly, a feeling that abated after half an hour. I was able to walk on my own when we arrived at home. I ate some soup, and my husband helped me to bed. THE OUTCOME The experience unfolded in my feelings and thought long after it was over. Dr. Mottaghi recommend that I journal my insights, and I did so. I was amazed by the amount of penetrating self-awareness I could suddenly see. I made interesting links across many memories and events in my life, finding patterns. PAIN RELIEF Despite the interesting element of self-discovery, I do not feel that I encountered a Eureka moment that would explain why I've had migraines since I was four years old. I know that some of it is due to a head injury at that age. And yet, strong emotions always play a part in brining on my migraines. Tonight I watched 4 episodes of Bleak House, an adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel, and this was a FIRST FOR ME. I felt a slow migraine beginning, but it remained at a pain level of 2 and only intensified after 3 hours to around a 4. In the past, I could never watch even 1 episode or movie without ending with a 8 or 9 migraine. Often, I would not be able to see a movie to the end even with migraine medication. Tonight, for the first time in my life, I felt the migraine subsiding on its own. Eventually I took 1/4 pill (instead of a full pill) of migraine medicine to kill the pain completely. My infusion was just 2 days ago, and I expect to see further improvements. I am very glade I tried this approach to pain relief. I believe it will be life-changing.

Upon arriving the check in was fast, Katy checked me in, was super kind, and informative. I had a cup of water before my massage and Sierra came to grab me pretty quickly. Prior to my massage she checked in with me regarding what I wanted work on, the intensity of the massage, deep tissue massage, and the use of hot stones. I think she did a good job of informing me of what was happening as it was happening. My one comment would be a little bit of small talk to help ease customers into comfort if they're new to massages. I will say the unique thing about this massage was it felt like she utilized holistic approach (really utilizing the feedback of the muscles / body to find spots of tension or knots) to working with the body and not just massaging at a hard level. I usually leave massages sore and relaxed although I left here not super sore but my muscles and body felt relaxed. I was impressed with Sierra's ability to find the knots or tight spots and to work on them in a way that's wasn't only painful (a few spots were but that's normal). I got a deal on my massage as it was my first one which was extremely affordable and likely started a new little splurge for future me to continue caring for my body in a way which feels productive and healing. Outside of this experience I have also come to Wellspring to do a free yoga class which was extremely helpful in releasing body tension and relaxing. There is also tea and water for customers. Overall, I think that the employees at Wellspring care for their customers and truly want to help. This is shown in how they talk, present, the engagement that's shown, and the hard work they do. I would highly recommend coming here as massages are fairly priced and the employees truly seem to care.

What he promised and what he delivered were two completely different things. And his attitude and actions were rude, unprofessional, and at times, totally hostile. My experience: I decided to try QEEG testing and NeuroStim therapy, so I made an inquiry. I live in Hawaii and was having eye surgery (cornea transplant) and had to stay in MN for four weeks after the surgery. I planned to do the QEEG testing before my surgery and scheduled several NeuroStim treatments in the following four weeks. After discussing this plan with my eye surgeon, he said to wait until at least 7-10 days after this delicate surgery because it might be harmful to my healing. I relayed this information to Guy in an email. He had a really strong negative reaction to this, saying my eye docs and I hadn't done our homework, were assuming the worst, "proceeding from a place of ignorance" etc. I was shocked, but decided to take the high road and apologized profusely if I - or my eye doctor - offended him. His reaction: absolutely nothing. He did not answer my emails, nor my phone calls. But I went ahead and did the QEEG testing with Guy before my surgery, then had a follow-up appointment with him a week later. (In both in-person sessions, I apologized to him once again but he remained totally silent.) He scheduled 30 minutes with me to go over the QEEG Testing Results. (actually, it was closer to 20 minutes with his computer problem). I felt he was rushing though the results and I told him I wanted more time, explanation, and analysis. He said I could always email him if I had further questions. I expected to also get a written analysis from him - as was promised on the website under the QEEG Testing package. He said no written report would come, but that he would send me a copy of the full QEEG report. I told him I was disappointed in this, but he was in a hurry for his next appointment. So, I waited for the QEEG report. And waited. And waited. After a week, I emailed him requesting the report. Again, no answer. Three more emails to him and a couple phone calls, and again no answer. He was ghosting me. So, I reached out to a couple other employees of Bhakti. Both said they would talk to Guy and make sure I got the full QEEG Report, which, after all, I DID pay for -- it was listed as part of what I'd receive if I paid for the QEEG session! I did four NeuroStim treatments and I liked the Bhakti therapist who administered them a lot. I FINALLY got a copy of the QEEG Report, but it was only 43 pages. The Bhakti therapist said that was only a partial report; the whole one was closer to 80 pages. (Guy had confirmed that earlier.) I continued to ask Guy (and others at Bhakti) for the report that I paid for, but to date (4 months later) I still have not received it. It's clear that I will not. They promised to send it to a doctor on Maui where I live, but that never happened either. I have no idea what I did to deserve such treatment! Apparently, I offended Guy early on, but I apologized immediately and multiple times afterwards (even though I was not at fault at all.) And if he is that reactionary and thin-skinned, he really shouldn't be in the business he is in. Are these the attributes you want in a wellness therapist? I sure don't. So, I was not surprised to see several negative reviews about Guy here, and wish I had seen them before I decided to do business with Bhakti. I have worked with a lot of doctors and practitioners through the years, both traditional and alternative medicine, and I have NEVER met someone who is as rude, unconcerned, detached and non-engaging as Guy Odishaw. In our conversations in person and online it seems like he is just going through the steps. Or maybe he just didn't like me. That happens too. But if you pay for services from a company, you deserve for those services to be delivered. And I paid closes to $1,000 to Bhakti and got very little in return. In my last conversation with Guy, he finally agreed to not only deliver the full report, but do a short, bullet pointed "Executive Summary" of my salient issues. I suggested this would only take him 5-10 minutes. I'm still waiting on both of those! But I'm sure not holding my breath. I don't need a touchy feely type therapist, but I do expect respect and kindness, neither of which I got. I cannot imagine getting a massage from Guy. He has such bad energy. And the clinic itself has a really negative vibe to it and also noted in these reviews. I am writing this to help others avoid the horrendous experiences I had working with this clinic. And if you are now, or decide to go ahead and work with them, be sure to set your expectation really low.
