Unprofessional, unresponsive, and downright rude. I had an absolutely awful experience with Bhakti Wellness Center -- and in particular with Guy Odishaw. What he promised and what he delivered were two completely different things. And his attitude and actions were rude, unprofessional, and at times, totally hostile. My experience: I decided to try QEEG testing and NeuroStim therapy, so I made an inquiry. I live in Hawaii and was having eye surgery (cornea transplant) and had to stay in MN for four weeks after the surgery. I planned to do the QEEG testing before my surgery and scheduled several NeuroStim treatments in the following four weeks. After discussing this plan with my eye surgeon, he said to wait until at least 7-10 days after this delicate surgery because it might be harmful to my healing. I relayed this information to Guy in an email. He had a really strong negative reaction to this, saying my eye docs and I hadn't done our homework, were assuming the worst, "proceeding from a place of ignorance" etc. I was shocked, but decided to take the high road and apologized profusely if I - or my eye doctor - offended him. His reaction: absolutely nothing. He did not answer my emails, nor my phone calls. But I went ahead and did the QEEG testing with Guy before my surgery, then had a follow-up appointment with him a week later. (In both in-person sessions, I apologized to him once again but he remained totally silent.) He scheduled 30 minutes with me to go over the QEEG Testing Results. (actually, it was closer to 20 minutes with his computer problem). I felt he was rushing though the results and I told him I wanted more time, explanation, and analysis. He said I could always email him if I had further questions. I expected to also get a written analysis from him - as was promised on the website under the QEEG Testing package. He said no written report would come, but that he would send me a copy of the full QEEG report. I told him I was disappointed in this, but he was in a hurry for his next appointment. So, I waited for the QEEG report. And waited. And waited. After a week, I emailed him requesting the report. Again, no answer. Three more emails to him and a couple phone calls, and again no answer. He was ghosting me. So, I reached out to a couple other employees of Bhakti. Both said they would talk to Guy and make sure I got the full QEEG Report, which, after all, I DID pay for -- it was listed as part of what I'd receive if I paid for the QEEG session! I did four NeuroStim treatments and I liked the Bhakti therapist who administered them a lot. I FINALLY got a copy of the QEEG Report, but it was only 43 pages. The Bhakti therapist said that was only a partial report; the whole one was closer to 80 pages. (Guy had confirmed that earlier.) I continued to ask Guy (and others at Bhakti) for the report that I paid for, but to date (4 months later) I still have not received it. It's clear that I will not. They promised to send it to a doctor on Maui where I live, but that never happened either. I have no idea what I did to deserve such treatment! Apparently, I offended Guy early on, but I apologized immediately and multiple times afterwards (even though I was not at fault at all.) And if he is that reactionary and thin-skinned, he really shouldn't be in the business he is in. Are these the attributes you want in a wellness therapist? I sure don't. So, I was not surprised to see several negative reviews about Guy here, and wish I had seen them before I decided to do business with Bhakti. I have worked with a lot of doctors and practitioners through the years, both traditional and alternative medicine, and I have NEVER met someone who is as rude, unconcerned, detached and non-engaging as Guy Odishaw. In our conversations in person and online it seems like he is just going through the steps. Or maybe he just didn't like me. That happens too. But if you pay for services from a company, you deserve for those services to be delivered. And I paid closes to $1,000 to Bhakti and got very little in return. In my last conversation with Guy, he finally agreed to not only deliver the full report, but do a short, bullet pointed "Executive Summary" of my salient issues. I suggested this would only take him 5-10 minutes. I'm still waiting on both of those! But I'm sure not holding my breath. I don't need a touchy feely type therapist, but I do expect respect and kindness, neither of which I got. I cannot imagine getting a massage from Guy. He has such bad energy. And the clinic itself has a really negative vibe to it and also noted in these reviews. I am writing this to help others avoid the horrendous experiences I had working with this clinic. And if you are now, or decide to go ahead and work with them, be sure to set your expectation really low. read more

Not recommended. Guy can be good at tissue work on the neck but is also a very self centered person that feels whatever he says is what a person needs to do for tx. He disrespects patients decisions when they choose to take a medical treatment route that he doesn't agree with. When he is not in agreement with another person it is apparent from things he has said about others in the past. He talks down to his clients and is disrespectfull too. I discovered Bhakti through a Crowd Cut coupon, and was really happy with it. It was only 2 miles from my office, and was really convenient to get to. I do agree with a previous review in that it's an older, run down building (across from Byerly's), but the suite itself was peaceful and had a good ambience. I had a 1 hour massage with Guy, and it was amazing. I have TMJ (jaw) problems, and the head/jaw massage was incredible. I also have right shoulder chronic tightness (which I learned, is likely from my computer mouse), and Guy focused on that. Overall, it was a great massage. Top it off with the fact that I found that I may be able to use my HSA dollars for it? And that Guy used to be a former hockey coach for the same women's league that I play in? I'm going back! Bhakti is cutting edge with bio electric medicine. There are many ways to heal, refresh, and restart physical and mental health concerns. It is convenient off France Ave in Edina and the suite was pleasant with obvious investment into bio electric devices that aid in faster,safe, relaxing healing. In a high tech world, it was reassuring to find personalized high touch combined with cutting edge high tech. After my treatment, which involved microcurrent, infra red, HEMI, and red light I felt amazing. My brain felt alive, well functioning and capable. My body felt stronger and relaxed. I was touched at how generous, knowledgeable, competent and experienced Guy Odishaw is as a practitioner. He is aware, seasoned, gentle and seeking new methods,and modalities to bring healing to folks in ways that are less invasive, and do not require too much from those who are suffering. I appreciated his awareness of people's resilience and how to titrate what they can handle, as well as actively seeking more effective methods. This healing center has many options for treatment, and they also rent various devices which help you to work on problem areas at home. I found Bhakti because I was looking for a good reflexologist, and there was a coupon for Bhakti. I have tried several other reflexology practitioners in the Twin Cities, and have not found someone who really seemed to understand the intricacies of the practice until I found Guy at Bhakti. I am very happy to have found Guy, who really knows what he is doing as a reflexologist. I have also had a massage, and again was extremely happy with the experience. After an accident and surgery, I needed rehabilitative massage within easy walking distance of my home. An acquaintance recommended Guy Odishaw, and he was able to schedule me on short notice, so I decided to give Bhakti Wellness Center a try. Over the years, I've had therapeutic massage from about eight practitioners, some of them very good indeed, but no longer practicing, or too far from where I now live. Only one of them was as good as Guy - none of the others even came close. He is very medically knowledgeable, listens well, can "read" my muscles and tissues without my having to explain things, and is a very centered and calming presence, even when he's working with injured or painfully tense areas. read more

When I walked into the clinic, there was a small waiting area that had a sign stating to be seated and your provider will be with you. I had a 60 minute massage scheduled at 330pm with Guy. I was in the clinic 8 minutes prior to my appointment time. He finally came out to the waiting area to greet me at 332pm. He then said he would be back in a couple minutes at which he then brought me paperwork to fill out. By the time I was brought back to the room, it was 342pm. He then proceeded to ask me some questions based off of my answers on the paperwork I had filled out. He then left me to undress and came back into the room at 350pm. He massaged my neck for approxiametly 15 minutes. He then asked me to flip to my stomach where he proceeded to rub lotion on my back, buttocks area, and in my armpit for the next 20 minutes. I was so uncomfortable at this point. He finished his 'massage' at 430pm. After he left the room, I proceeded to get dressed. I walked out in the hall to find no one. I lingered for a few minutes waiting for him. He never appeared so I left. I have been receiving professional massages for 20 years and never in my lifetime have I had such a horrible experience. Not only was he completely unprofessional in his massaging technique, but I had paid for a 60 minute massage and received about 15 minutes of that time.
