I met with Dr. Kachko four months ago. I have been struggling with chronic hip, and low back pain,…read moreas well as digestive problem for eight years. By the time I went to my first Inner Source appointment, I had seen fifteen doctors, in three different states, in eight years. My health ailments seemed to be getting worse, and were absolutely affecting my quality of life. Unfortunately, western medicine was not working all that well for me. It seemed each separate specialist doctor had good intentions, but my ailments seemed to only get worse when treated by individual specialists. It is so strange for me to admit that I needed a holistic approach. I really put off making my initial appointment because frankly, I didn't believe that naturopathic care could work for me, let alone improve my quality of life. I committed to changing my diet by avoiding gluten, and dairy. I drink lots of water. I regularly consume vitamin D, and digestive enzymes as prescribed by Dr. Kachko. I intentionally adhered to a routine where I made the time to take care of myself. I regularly attend acupuncture. Implementing these changes took practice. Lifestyle changes take practice. Honestly, I started feeling better after my first appointment, so sticking to the dietary plan, seemed like a no brainier to me. Why risk going back to feeling horrendous joint pain, and managing my digestive drama for a piece of cheesecake or pizza? I will continue to work toward my path of wellness, with absolute faith in Dr. Kachko, and the Inner Source team. If you're struggling with quality of life health related issues, and you're not entirely sure the naturopathic route is practical, I highly recommend you make your first appointment with Inner Source. They will make a believer out of you, and you can get your quality of life back!

My story began when I started having stomach problems and headaches…read more I don't like to take medications because they usually help one problem, (a little), but at the expense of causing several others. So my friend suggested I try going to a naturopathic physician. I went to see Dr. Gibson. WHAT A HUGE MISTAKE! First of all, it is crystal clear that her main focus is MONEY!!!! This woman actually charges by the MINUTE. That includes any phone calls as well. Oh, and if you need to talk to her on the phone, you need to make an appointment! I had a terrible reaction to one of her powdered substances, but couldn't talk to her about it for two days because I had to make an appointment. So if you should happen to have a bad reaction, or are dying from any of the many concoctions she sells, you can forget speaking with her BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE AN APPOINTMENT! Second - Her manner of speaking was slow and convoluted, so she would guarantee a longer visit (more money in her pocket), and every time I left her office, I was more confused then when I arrived. Third - She would push all of these so called solutions to my ailments that didn't work, in fact, they made me feel worse. They are also very expensive! Fourth - She put me on a very strict diet that made me loose so much weight, feel horrible and I later found was totally wrong for my condition. Obviously, she misdiagnosed my problem. Fifth - She was rarely in her office, only worked two days a week and would go on vacation all the time. I had some tests done and because she left for another one of her vacations, I was not able to get the results for over two months. Sixth -Her office is very cramped, her secretary / receptionist always appear to be moody and unfriendly and she has had so many different ones in a short period of time. Obviously, they are unhappy and keep leaving. I don't blame them. Seventh - The waiting period in her office is so incredibly long. Again, because she charges by the minute, she takes as long as she can with each patient. Doesn't care how long the next patient is waiting. Furthermore, any tests that are done (which are also very expensive), are not covered by insurance, nor are any of her visits or the excessive junk concoctions she peddles. It was also interesting for me to learn that when I went to see her, she kept promoting natural herbs for healing as being better than medications, but a few years later on circulated a petition to all of her patients to allow naturopathic doctors in Connecticut to be able to prescribe antibiotics. Talk about being a hypocrite! This was my first experience with a natural medicine doctor, so I didn't really know what to expect and simply accepted her outrageous methods of payment and treatments as normal for this type of doctor. I was very wrong. No one should be taken advantage of, especially when they are ill and need help. Those who do take advantage of this kind of situation are absolutely despicable in my book. All I can say is, if you are suffering and feel desperate like I was, DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE BY GOING TO SEE DR. DEBORAH GIBSON, YOU WILL FEEL MUCH WORSE AND MOST LIKELY GO BANKRUPT IN THE PROCESS!

Traditional medicine has its advantages, but for skeletal problems and conditions like chronic…read moremigraines or asthma I highly recommend this acupuncture facility. The doctor is amazing - he has excellent skills in finding the source of the problem, and the relief happens within a few hours. It often takes 4-5 treatments to completely reverse what is going on, but no medicine -- no side effects -- and the absence of pain is a miracle. I have been to so many medical doctors and even chiropractors before coming here. They have no clue what to do -- just meds and painful manipulation. You need to go to a certified practioner, not a doctor who took a brief course. Dr. Distefano has been here for many years and he truly cares about his patients. This is such a miracle -- truly! It does not hurt and you just sleep during the treatment. I also want to emphasize that this facility is very clean, extremly sanitary, and the doctor gives you his full attention during treatment. He listens - so important! I had terrible skeletal issues for which I could not get help! I am so grateful! An interesting side effect is that my immune system has improved since beginning treatments. I rarely get sick and if I have a little cold, it goes away in a day. But very seldom do I get sick, which is in contrast to years ago. You can always read about acupuncture. They talk about the "chi" which is something about the balance of the body. It is really something to be considered. More people are now open to it, I think. Remember - this is an ancient art and is still being used worldwide. Some people tell me "I don't believe in acupuncture" which is silly. It's not a religion, but a method of healing that works. If you have chronic pain, or residual pain from an accident, stop taking mega doses of pain killers (which can lead to ulcers) and come here. That's what I believe in :) It definitely worked for me!
