I ate at Donna Teresa on Valentine's Day, Friday night. We arrived at 7:30 pm, right when the restaurant was opening, so we were the first party seated. At around 8:00 pm, a couple more tables were sat, and the new guests seemed like they had known the three restaurant owners (mother, daughter, and father) for years.
For only 12 EUR each, we received a generous serving of first dish (zuppa fagioli), and second dish (cotoletta di pollo and broccoli), plus some bread of course at the very beginning of the meal when we sat down. The service is good, and the food is delivered quickly. The restaurant felt like I was in an old Neapolitan movie, as if I was sitting in a Neapolitan family's home and eating like another member of the family. The daughter was the only one that I observed really tending to the guests, and I'm not sure she could speak English because the whole menu was told to us in Italian. You do get three choices for both the first and second dishes that you can choose from. We didn't have any wine, so I can't speak on that.
If you're looking for a casual, economical meal that is delicious and traditional Neapolitan, I recommend this restaurant. Especially if you are only in the Vomero area in Naples for a couple of days. After dinner, you should take a short walk down to San Martino to see the amazing Naples skyline. Buon appetito! read more
