I went in to have my foot looked at for a shooting pain. She was relatively close so I decided to…read morego to her. My pain was very specific and I suspected Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome. I'd done enough research to know what tests should be run. They took an x-ray of my feet and I waited in the exam room for her and talked to one of the staffers. She seemed pleasant, told me she had TTS in the past, had the surgery and it came back. (TTS surgery doesn't have much success) When the doctor walked in, the staffer immediately shut up when we were laughing about something, put her head down and stood there. Dr. Weiner said she didn't need her any more and the woman backed out like she was actually afraid of her. This didn't give me much confidence. She told me the x-ray showed a spur in a spot that was not part of where I was experiencing the pain. She was very condescending the whole time she talked to me and taped up my foot in a soft cast ON the spot where I had the spur. She told me I had TTS without ever doing a nerve test...a KEY test to confirm diagnosis. Within a few hours, the area she taped up had swelled to twice its size and the pain shooting from the spur where mind you I did NOT have pain before was horrible. I cut the ends of the cast for a little relief. By the next day despite the relief, I was hobbling. I knew then I would not continue care with her. I went back to have the cast removed (something I could've easily done at home but I thought she was going to do something to give me relief.) All she did was tell me to order their expensive insoles and rest and elevate it and if it wasn't better in 6 months, come back. Uh no. I went to a local chiropractor for the first time and he said while he understood the direction she was going, it was completely wrong for my condition. He totally fixed my muscle condition in my legs and using laser therapy and muscle manipulation, took care of my TTS. A family member goes to Dr Weiner's husband and is happy with him so I'd say go to him.

I have used this center repeatedly over the last 8 years off and on for myself and my son. Though…read morethere is always a different reason I am always dissatisfied with one or more of the factors involved in providing care. The prices are high, the overall aura of the place is negative, the patient feels like an inconvenience, there is rarely anyone in the office that starts with a pleasant interaction. The most recent visit was the worst. A simple request was denied, made out to be bigger than it was, only to encourage me to have a possibly expensive test done in order to get what I needed along with the removal of a wart. I requested the skin and nail removed down to the healthy nail (there was plenty) on a toe that had a wart removed from it. He insisted that the toenail had to be removed or the material had to be sent for testing. This toe did not have this trouble until the wart was treated repeatedly and it is all due to the process of being frozen too many times. There is a good chance the toenail will heal now that the wart is gone if the excess skin could be removed. I can not do it myself. He refused unless I spent more money. This has happened in the past with other treatments. It is the only place local that accepts my insurance. However, I will NEVER return. I do not recommend anyone use this company for care.

My experience with Dr. McKenna was HORRIBLE!!…read more Between my daughter and I trying to get orthotics made, she made 7 mistakes. So much wasted so much of our time and energy! The first two pair were so narrow that my feet kept falling off of them and I had to get extensive help due to the knee problems that caused. She made the same mistake with my daughter's orthotics, that Dr. Mehl's assistant wouldn't even let my daughter put them on because she said they would cause HUGE problems. It took over 2 months to get my daughter's orthotics!! I had to pull her out of school three times due to the mistakes. Dr. McKenna made so many mistakes on mine. One time, she put a metatarsal bar in that was never supposed to be there. One time, she forgot the arch pad and just handed me piano felt and told me that would have to do until the correct ones would be here in three weeks. Two times, they were too narrow that I kept falling off of them. My knee doctor said that my knee issues were due to the fact that over four months of working with Dr. McKenna, I had been put in so many incorrect orthotics, that it was causing inflammation in my IT band and Patella. After so many mistakes, Dr. McKenna called during art class with everyone listening and told me that she no longer had time to work with me and offered me a small refund. Dr. McKenna said that all of my complaints were legitimate, but that it was taking too much of her time! SHE HAS NO PATIENCE OR ATTENTION TO DETAIL! THANK GOD CORPORATE ISSUED A FULL REFUND FOR BOTH MY ORTHOTICS!! If you are diabetic, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DR. MCKENNA AT ALL!! She wanted to cut out my plantar warts with a razor blade. I told her no and she argued that all warts are a virus. All it took was getting the right orthtotics to balance my feet correctly to get rid of the plantar warts. Here's what I would recommend: I GOT GREAT ORTHOTICS MADE AT AMERICAN ORTHOPEDICS! I worked with Michael Hansen there and he was great. Super-kind and patient. If your insurance doesn't cover American Orthopedics, I had another pair made by JIM WILGUS AT OHIO HEALTH and he was GREAT. If you need a podiatrist, Dr. Logan was great. He sent me to Ron at Easton Shoes to help me find the right shoes for my bunionette, and he has been great helping me with shoes!
