I went in to have my foot looked at for a shooting pain. She was relatively close so I decided to…read morego to her. My pain was very specific and I suspected Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome. I'd done enough research to know what tests should be run. They took an x-ray of my feet and I waited in the exam room for her and talked to one of the staffers. She seemed pleasant, told me she had TTS in the past, had the surgery and it came back. (TTS surgery doesn't have much success) When the doctor walked in, the staffer immediately shut up when we were laughing about something, put her head down and stood there. Dr. Weiner said she didn't need her any more and the woman backed out like she was actually afraid of her. This didn't give me much confidence. She told me the x-ray showed a spur in a spot that was not part of where I was experiencing the pain. She was very condescending the whole time she talked to me and taped up my foot in a soft cast ON the spot where I had the spur. She told me I had TTS without ever doing a nerve test...a KEY test to confirm diagnosis. Within a few hours, the area she taped up had swelled to twice its size and the pain shooting from the spur where mind you I did NOT have pain before was horrible. I cut the ends of the cast for a little relief. By the next day despite the relief, I was hobbling. I knew then I would not continue care with her. I went back to have the cast removed (something I could've easily done at home but I thought she was going to do something to give me relief.) All she did was tell me to order their expensive insoles and rest and elevate it and if it wasn't better in 6 months, come back. Uh no. I went to a local chiropractor for the first time and he said while he understood the direction she was going, it was completely wrong for my condition. He totally fixed my muscle condition in my legs and using laser therapy and muscle manipulation, took care of my TTS. A family member goes to Dr Weiner's husband and is happy with him so I'd say go to him.
