The Frederick Keys and/or Nymeo Field left fans hanging without information for 80 minutes…read morefollowing a rain delay. The Frederick Keys had a scheduled 6:00 pm game on July 28. There were heavy thunderstorms between 4:30 and 5:30 pm, after which the weather was clear and dry. After the heavy rains it is understandable that there would be a small rain delay in starting the game. The stadium was open by 5:30 and letting fans in. However, we were left sitting there until 7:20 pm without any prediction when the game would start (despite several announcements promising a start time). The only information we got was that we were certainly free to spend money on concessions while waiting. At 7:20 they finally announced the game would be postponed. This is a callous disregard for the fans, their time, and money. If the field was unplayable due to weather, or whatever the reason for the postponement, the Keys should not have wasted 1 hour and 20 minutes of the fans' time before announcing the decision.

It's directly off interstate 70, so people traveling through can stop by. There are numerous bathrooms, benches and covered gazebos that public accessible. There is a wide cement paved trail that bicyclists, runners and walkers can share. There are numerous sports fields including football, baseball, softball, soccer and even a beach volleyball area filled with sand! There is a new and large dog park as well. It is divided into two areas depending on the size of your dog. The park is well maintained and clean. Very safe area as well. This park is amazing and I can't speak more highly of it.

The playground has separate equipment for little kids (2-5) and older kids, all of which were clean and in great condition. The picnic area was really big, with enough covered tables to seat well over 50 people, and a large charcoal grill. There is a large parking lot, too. Overall, it's a great neighborhood park.

I don't think this park gets a lot of use, and that is probably why it looks so good. After walking the grounds I didn't see one piece of trash on the ground. There were lots of trash cans and a recycling bin on the grounds. I also noticed that there was a porta John. We had a pretty big group of people there to eat listen to music and play outside. there were so many picnic tables to choose from that we had ample space. We also threw some toys for kids to play with around us and we still have lots of space. This may have something to do with how hot it was today nonetheless it was a good day to have a picnic. I think everyone who likes to be outside should go to this park.

What…read moreseems to be the main entrance is where you'll see the welcome sign and all the directional signage to the fields. The directional signs are great and help you find the correct field #. The restrooms at the park were very clean and ventilated; think 5-Star port-a-johns! Lol What's weird is the park is extremely huge, yet there is a separate section located about 150meters away from the "main" park? Not sure what happened with that, but you have to exit and enter at a separate point. These fields are all soccer. There are between 4-6 soccer fields at this separate section. Here is where you'll find the fully stocked snack area with tables and umbrellas for shade. Oh,,,,, this park is located in the middle of nowhere!! And next to a jail. So bring food because it's a hike to the closest gas station, restaurant, etc. Minus one star because its proximity to a jail and the two separate areas???

I really love coming to Provinces Park just to walk on their trails…read more Sure, Maryland has lots of sidewalks, but it is so nice to find a place that you can be in more of a wooded area that is more peaceful. Alot of the other parks around are close to highways so you do not get the level of peace and quiet that comes with provinces park. They have 2 playgrounds. A basketball court, tennis court, some baseball fields, and soccer fields.

When I lived on Disney a road I walked the trail three to four times a week. The old man who donated the land would stand outside his home at wave as I walked to the park. I live a little further away now, and the old man has since been called home to glory. This area contains a parking…read morelot, basketball courts, a fenced in dog park then a very large field for soccer all along Monroe Ave. Oops I missed mentioning the signage on the history of the Town of Potomac ( see photos). Along Leslie Ave you see the Stadium as well as The Y across the street. There is a lovely petite garden between the two. One can grab a coffee on Monroe visit or visit the pharmacy, there is plenty to keep one busy.

This new splash pad and playground serves as a reminder that damn Loudon County has some money. We got here at noon with our toddler and only planned to spend a couple of hours and ended up basically being here until they closed in the middle of summer at 8 PM. I think it's an amazing design to have three playground design for different ages right near the splash pad. Luckily it was like 5000° out so kids dried off the minute they left the waterpark to go to playgrounds. So being a wet mess really wasn't a concern. There are a few rules to the waterpark that includes no toys and no dogs and the standard diaper requirements for the incontinent , but otherwise it's pretty open and people were really really well behaved. The bathrooms are amazingly clean for a public bathrooms and offer wide enough stalls to change in. It's highly recommended because of temperatures and the fact that most of the place is concrete to wear water shoes. The only issue we had was that a baby kept putting wet banana peels like this was Mario kart in the splash pad and people kept tripping on them. Most of the water features are well functioning and a lot of fun. The playground themselves range from ages 5 to 12, and have a lot of hills with Astroturf, which is kind of fun to just roll down and they have slides built into them. There are a lot of climbing activities. The slides do get hot on a sunny day, but since the kids are already wet from the waterpark, they seem fine. And the park is very clean. We went on a weekday and it wasn't really that crowded, but I can see how weekends could be pretty full. They also have lots of tables for our families to sit down and enjoy some picnic items.

My kids love it. It's clean and lots of parking space and well maintained. It's worth visiting.read more
