We do daycare and boarding with them, and the facility is just an absolute gem to have in our area. Leslie is the most compassionate and caring person, and her team is top notch. She also has extensive knowledge, coming from the best background to operate this type of business. Even as I have watched this business grow over the last decade, the quality of care has remained superior. Boarding rooms are real rooms, there is a later nighttime walk so dogs aren't expected to hold it for 11 or 12 hours like other places we have heard about, they cater to animals with special needs, and all the employees are engaging and care. 12 years is a long time to have one team taking primary care of 3 dogs and we used to have a cat too - so I could write paragraphs of positives for this business, but I'll just let that 12 years serve as an exclamation point. Secondly when our dog did have worms they got rid of them but then a year later said there were some dead worms still in his heart so we had to go through another round of treatments with that appointment costing almost $1,000 and they wanted a fresh sample of poop to make sure they were gone after the treatment but every time we would go to drop it off during the hours they claimed to be open no one was there!! Took us a month to finally bring them the sample just to find out they wanted us to pay another $200 just for them to check his poop!! We now go to newberry animal hospital where the staff is just as nice and the cost is way more affordable.

He is fine being left, which speaks worlds as to how he is treated there. He has a massive undercoat (think German Shepherd), and they do an AMAZING job getting him shedded out. No more tumbleweeds of hair in the house! Nicole is extremely professional and sweet. I even feel safe leaving my 55-lb younger dog who suffers from anxiety. While Amy seemed to be great and really enthused at the beginning, it became clear the "pay ahead"…read moredeal she has going was less genuine than you would assume. After our first three sessions, (one of which she showed up an hour late for), we struggled finding times that she could come to work with us and our pets. She then informed us after our first three May/June sessions that she didn't work evenings or weekends at all through the summer. This was never mentioned before and would have been something we would have never been able to agree to had we known. Prior to this review, (and after she informed us of her seasonal hours), cordial attempts and requests were made at simply refunding our remaining unused sessions in light of this "scheduling misunderstanding" so that we could both move forward. She told us this wasn't possible and that she didn't provide refunds. While she is able to claim she will provide the services, she makes scheduling nearly impossible and eventually you quit trying and she keeps the prepaid training costs. In our case it amounted to a loss for us of over $200.00. While we would like to hope this was a unique and unfortunate situation, we have since talked to several friends and neighbors who have had similar experiences. Absolute obedience is extremely expensive and from the start offers a service that others don't- in home training for your pets with you. However, I would caution anyone about getting involved with this business- there is a great deal of fine print and unmentioned details. From our experience, this seems to be more of a scam and less of someone interested in meeting the needs of clients.
