If I had to redo this experience, I would not choose this company. Communication was terrible, and…read morethey couldn't even provide the install dates I initially requested. Nathalie needs to improve her communication. However, the contractor they used did a great job with the installation. My experience is detailed below: I initially wanted my floors installed the week of June 16th, which was communicated during contract negotiations and agreed upon. After the deposit was paid, I was informed that they had to move us up to the week of June 2nd due to another installation. If we didn't accept that date, we would have had to wait until July. On the day the materials were delivered, we were not informed that they needed to be placed inside the house rather than in the garage, which caused issues due to other circumstances. On installation day, communication between the supplier, Floors Unlimited, and myself was terrible, resulting in an unnecessary argument. Lastly, regarding the final payment, Rebecca stated she would send the aftercare paperwork and invoice by mail. It has been two weeks, and I still have not received them. Receiving mail from a company less than 20 miles away should not take two weeks.

The a lot of the items that are priced are really high for what they are. Most ppl that go to thrift stores don't have a lot of money. Nothings really organized. In the book corner, Books are falling all over the place. ( not priced) Cds and movies are (not priced. ) Some of the electronics tvs, computer monitors are priced but they want 25$ for a ten year old lcd tv/ monitor. Kids toys are missing pieces or are broken.( not priced) Board games some are missing pieces or cardboard is ripped.( not priced) Blankets, towels, sheets are all mixed in and only the nicer looking ones are taped and priced. The electric kitchen stuff like coffee makers are priced but they are only a few dollars cheaper then new store price. (They seem to look up the items what they sell for new and knock 20% off) They make prices up on the fly. I asked about a child's play boat with out a price. The women running the counter said "oh theres no price. id do $10.) It was Prob about 20 inch long and 6 inches wide. Doesn't sound bad but its missing all the toy pieces, the boat was broken and it was super dusty. For a smaller one with all the pieces online its 20$. For me not worth it in the store. Either way making up prices on the fly isn't impressive. I asked about movies they wanted 3$ each. Most places in havelock are 1$ just to get rid of them. Little kids clothing is kinda sorted with size but not gender there was a round rack not sorted at all in size. ( not priced) Some "nicer" dresses were marked 10$. Most of the items I saw were not priced (annoying to keep asking well how much) They don't appear to take debit cards either. They have a sign that says "cash and check. Atm outside." Im my opinion Theres better thrift stores. In morehead theres hope mission which has furniture, clothing jewelry and house wares. A lot of the time, on Saturday's they have a parking sale that is just pay a donations. And in Beaufort theres fishes and loaves. Its 2 stores ones clothing and the other is house hold items. Its all pretty cheap. Some of the items someone is pricing high now but relatively speaking they have good priced items too. All prices are behind the checkout counter.

My wife found one that she fell in love with and she asked Julie who was working that day and she told us the store is family owned and operated, so we thought we were in capable hands, boy were we mistaken. My wife's requirement from the start was that she needed two matching recliners. Julie was asked and checked and told us that indeed they had another one in their warehouse. We went ahead and purchased the two recliners and set up delivery for the following Saturday. The following day I told my wife I could borrow a trailer and pick them up sooner. She was so excited,called the store and was told the other recliner would be there the following day and that would be Thursday. I set up to borrow the trailer and thought it would be best to call and make sure that both recliners were there. My wife called and guess what, she was passed off to the delivery driver who told her ( I didn't see it at the warehouse ). We did not receive a call, nothing. My wife was beside herself, in tears. I went there that evening after work and got a refund, I work in the service industry, that's terrible service. To this day have we yet to receive an apology or call from Julie.

We bought a new build home in Onslow County, NC. The Builder uses Cheap Charlies for their flooring…read moreneeds. We had a major issue with our LVP flooring because it was installed without a moisture barrier on the concrete slab. The floor began lifting within 1 year of us Closing on the house. We contacted Cheap Charlies with our issue. The only solution was to replace the entire 1st level floor. We also have steps leading to a room above our garage (FROG) with the same LVP flooring, however, the sub floor is wood which did not cause the LVP to fail. The Flooring manufacturer of the floor discontinued our exact floor. We and Cheap Charlies tried to match the original floor from another Manufacturer because our furniture, rugs, lamps, and other accessories were complimentary to the flooring (not a neutral color or pattern). We exhausted all options without success. We then decided, with Cheap Charlies help, to choose a neutral color and pattern LVP from the same original manufacturer. That left us with the stairs and FROG not being damaged and different flooring. We had been in the newly built home for less than 1.5 years, so two different floors were not acceptable to us. Cheap Charlies installed the newly chosen floor throughout our home, including the steps and FROG, with no upgrade or additional charge for the new floor. The installation team was courteous, professional, detailed and quick. We became friendly with the Family that owns and runs Cheap Charlies as they are truly good honest people. My wife and I would highly recommend Cheap Charlies for any new or replacement floor.
