I purchased dirt a few weeks ago from this business. Had bought gravel from them years ago several…read moretimes. I was told that dirt is $10 and topsoil screened was $25 delivered. The owner George came to the house and said he had the perfect dirt for the job and would not run, with just some very small rock, indicating with his hand 2-3 inches. I told the him three times that I did not want sandy soil dirt. So 16 yards of dirt was delivered three days later with a section of my driveway damaged when the driver decided to back over the edge of the drive though he was told to stop. The driver said normally he would use a mat to protect the drive but they are heavy and no one at the yard could help him. Well the dirt was about 60% sand, 10% dirt and 30% rocks including large boulders 70-80 lbs. and a hundred bowling ball large rocks. After the first rain this material ran since it was sand and ended up with big trenches. I back filled with wheelbarrows of dirt from my yard. I called the company office and on the second call was told that the owner would sell me dirt for the small price as the first load. Really.... I get to pay twice. So I called early and got the owner who said "that was his best driver that damaged my driveway because the truck was heavy". Really, yes trucks are heavy. I told him that he agreed no sand, and dirt that would hold up and instead he delivered sand with rocks and boulders. I asked to get just 5 yards of real dirt to fill in the rained out trenches and to cover the sand. He agreed that he would drop off the dirt. We called and he had promised delivery on 8/8, never showed, 8/10 and did not show, 8/16 no show, and just last Monday with "I will be there today" and has delivered nothing. So after a month we are still waiting. If you ever buy from them: * Ask for a sample of the dirt they are providing and the size of the rocks. * Ask if they have mats or boards to protect your driveway if they plan on going over the edge. * When they deliver the material and it's not what it's supposed to be, make them take it back. * When they damage your property make them fix or pay to fix it by confirming they have insurance.

Stone Construction just finished placing stone on the edge of my driveway and ran rip rap down a…read morelong embankment that eroded. They took it upon themselves to evaluate the job as they did it and did more than I expected, or I contracted for. The stone is piled slightly higher than the edge of the driveway to prevent the edge from cracking and runs a lot farther down than the driveway than I contracted for. The rip rap is sloped nicely down the hill and filled the holes. In short, they did the job right. Quality work!!!! I could not be happier. I would hire Stone Construction again.

Due to the company's negligence, lack of accessibility and disorganization, the project encountered numerous issues which led to insurmountable delays. The contract indicated a 120-day timeline, this project took an unacceptable seven months to complete. Some examples of LG's dereliction include: 1. Ineffective subcontractors. Three of them (gutters, flooring, mason) were replaced after extended periods of haplessness. 2. Lyman Gilbert, the principal of LG, was constantly unavailable or unreachable while issues occurred on-site. Lyman was on vacation often throughout the project and did not return calls or texts. 3. Re-work was constant, leading to further delays. 4. The subcontractors that did complete work were rude and lacked integrity. 5. LG lacks expertise in several areas, most importantly HVAC. I have never filed a complaint like this before but LG's performance was so egregiously unsatisfactory, I feel compelled to warn others before they commit to a similarly dysfunctional project.

He was very professional and polite. I chose my carpet, put down a deposit and Shane told me when he expected the carpet to come in. He did advise me that there might be a delay due to supply chain issues. While waiting for the carpet, Shane was easy to get a hold of and he was very communicative. The carpet came in when he thought it would and we scheduled the install. When Shane arrived to install the carpet he was very careful and meticulous. He put down clean gripping drop cloths wherever it was necessary while he worked. He made sure that his tools and carpet weren't in the way of foot traffic. Shane is a hard worker and you can see the pride he takes in his work. He completely moved our bedroom furniture, removed the old carpet and pad and installed the new carpet, and replaced our bedroom furniture, in one bedroom, in one day. He not only installed the new carpet but he fixed a squeak we had in the floors of both bedrooms. Shane made sure we were happy with the furniture placement and was very careful moving it. The next day, Shane removed the furniture, removed the old carpet, installed the new carpet and replaced the furniture in our smaller bedroom/office, in a half a day.
