I can't even begin to express how wonderful it was working with VMJ! We hired them to do a full renovation on our master bathroom. Never an easy project since we wanted to continue to live in our bedroom through the project. They were timely, neat, courteous, super responsive, and did impeccable work! I had a bit of a disaster on my hands, an almost demolished bathroom from 1929 and a sort of contractor going to a funeral in his family living on a family farm in Kansas. The plumber said he could refer me to someone who is very good but "he is quite busy". Victor appeared out of the blue that late afternoon, clearly doing a favor for his favorite plumber (and now mine) and... Well, I am quite fussy *and* an interior designer so I don't take advice well, except that Victor was able to take a rather impossible project (a 4x9 bathroom with a handicapped shower) and make it better. He was thinking out of the box and anticipated so many issues that I had not. A small piece of wall was moved about 6 inches and voila, it now feels spacious! His work is meticulous and detailed, even with the herringbone tile I had picked out which was problematic at best. They keep a neat workspace, arrive exactly on time every morning, and Victor calls for any delay or problem. Each payment is requested on time and at the correct stage of completion. The workers are neatly dressed, cordial, and they don't drink or smoke. There is no loud music or screaming at one another and they show up with the correct tools and supplies. I could not have had a better experience and I am now going to do a modest kitchen renovation with him as soon as I can pry him away from his other happy clients. Victor always returns calls or texts in a timely manner and is always pleasant and upbeat. Is there anything left to say? FABULOUS! I'm very cynical when it comes to contractors, but I trusted Victor the first time I met him. I hired VMJ to paint one room and the deck. I was so happy with the job, I asked them to paint three more rooms! They used high quality paint and tools and their attention to detail was impressive. And, they did it all in 3 days! I've been doing my own painting since I was a teen and I know a good paint job when I see it. It's also worth knowing that Victor has a really good eye for color.
