Just the day before this happened, my best friend and I spent over $100 there. The reason I wanted to look at the giant cheese squishy was because I'd already bought the mini version before, and it honestly didn't live up to how it was advertised. It wasn't what I expected at all, and since the store doesn't allow returns, I was stuck with something I regretted buying. I didn't want to make the same mistake again. Since there weren't any display samples, we carefully opened the giant one just to see what it was actually like. We weren't trying to steal it or damage it--we were planning to put it back and were deciding whether it was worth buying. Instead, the owner immediately started yelling at us and made us feel like we were about to get kicked out. It was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. If you're charging premium prices and don't allow returns, customers should at least be able to see what they're buying before spending their money. I used to enjoy shopping here, but after this experience, I'm honestly not sure I'll be spending my money here again. AND YES, what I did was wrong but I apologized and walked out...

The inside was nicely decorated but it was hard to spend more than 5 mins inside due to an odd moldy smell and the heat. It must have been at least 90 degrees inside. The owners need to make some changes from the inside to reason prices and do something about the cheap over priced items. Nothing special about this place. But thank you for the nightmare story I get to share for the rest of my life.

This place is adorable!…read more My boyfriend and I stopped in after the storefront caught our attention while were going to Starbucks. It's full of little trinkets. Some new, some antique, some classic, some quirky. The owner/manager/employee that was on shift was super pleasant and welcoming. She engaged in conversation and made us feel welcome. The shop is kind of tucked away in a center that you wouldn't really expect to find it in. I hope they do well in the future and are able to get the word out about the store. When Bruno was the mascot and Northstar was nothing but a 2 story arcade area and retail was unheard of and The ticket office was on the roadway; 50 yards from the parking lot and Northstar was # 3 of 3 resorts; the lowest on the totem pole measured against Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows and The cafeteria served ONLY hot cocoa, coffee and boxed pastries and The ski rentals (ski, boot and pole) included ski bibs and Snowboards were non existent and Maximum lift passes priced out in the $40 range with 4000 skiers maximum per day and Gondola rides to Mid Mountain was FREE Today!!!! .... Pets are not allowed and The Ritz Carlton (a Lawrence Welk Timeshare Facility) and The Village with retail and eateries and Patron Parking in 5 different locations and Ticket Office located in the Village (a 20 minute walk from and if you are in patron parking) and Mikuni Restaurant (now closed) was the first sushi bar restaurant and North Star Gondola (not Ritz Carlton gondola) ride to mid mountain is $30 Valet So this is progress (inspite of the development moratorium in the Lake Tahoe area) They have little wagons for you to tow you equipment and gear from the base of the fun to your car or hotel or condo They have valet service if you don't want to walk The Ice Skating Rink is open through almost the end of spring. They have coffee and soft drink bars in kiosk style around the perimeter of the Village Lift Tickets are in the 3 digit price tag Despite the increase in cost, development and upscale change, Northstar remains a comfortable place to visit. While my review is the focus of the winter and spring sports, please know they have a golf course and trails for mountain biking in the summars and fall. A destination location for sure!

Not a big deal but was a little sad because I try to buy stuff that supports local artists as well as the local shops.
