1-Star Review I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience with Our Town Party Rentals, was deeply disappointing and honestly, unacceptable. We hired them to provide a tent, chairs, and a dance floor for our event, and the issues started right from the beginning. The dance floor they delivered was uneven and unstable, posing a serious safety risk. It was the wrong size, and there were no beveled or ramped edges. Those of us setting up for the wedding were stumbling, and we were genuinely worried someone might get injured--this included the owner of our venue, who was equally dissatisfied with the quality. When we contacted the company during and after setup to ask for a fix, they flatly refused to do so. We had to fix the issue ourselves with the help of friends, and the stress of not knowing how--or if--it could be made safe, along with the time spent trying to resolve the problem, only added to the frustration. As if that weren't enough, we discovered the day after our event that our string of Edison bulb lights--which we provided ourselves--had been taken by the company at pickup. We have reached out multiple times (both myself and my husband) asking for an explanation or resolution, and we've been completely ignored. No response, no apology, nothing. Between the unsafe setup, lack of professionalism, and what appears to be theft of our property, I would strongly advise others to steer clear of this company. I rented a dunk tank with a broken wheel that I knew about before leaving the middletown rental not knowing when I set it up the seat was broken as well. This took hours to fill because of the volume of water. When I returned it I was told a refund would take 2 weeks . I have not received a refund and trying to talk to the man in charge KEN is never available. very disappointed. read more

Do not do business with this company as their business practices are apparently fraudulent and they engage in deceptive advertising to lure customers in. On June 30, 2025 I made a reservation to rent a BBQ grill, but within 30 minutes found an alternative and canceled the booking. I was told a refund would be issued and it might take up to 2 weeks. It's been almost 4 weeks and during this time I've been told: 1. it's being processed, 2. Answering service says no one is in the office and we'll have them call you back (never happens), 3. A gift card is being issued! I don't want a gift card especially if it's for their "services". I was visiting the area from out of state. If I was local I'd be at their doorstep right now demanding my refund for the services NEVER PROVIDED. Stay clear of this sloppy, scammy company. read more

Disappointing Experience -- Would NOT Recommend I feel it's necessary to share our experience with Our Town Party Rentals. My nephew booked Our Town Party Rentals to provide a photo booth for his wedding -- a major milestone meant to be remembered. Unfortunately, the experience will definitely be memorable for all the wrong reasons. The booth failed to deliver what it promised: actual photos. To this day, my nephew and his wife still have nothing to show for it. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of support afterward. Reaching out to the company has been a dead end -- phone calls and emails have gone mostly unanswered, and there's been zero accountability or resolution offered. During the event, the on-site team couldn't fix the issue, and afterward, there's been no meaningful follow-up. Also, I like to mention you didn't even realize there was a photo booth since it was tucked into a corner with a Dollar Tree back drop only. I pointed it out to my SIL and told her I think that is a photo booth. Until we started making a line that everyone realized there was a photo booth available. Maybe this was done on purpose since the machine was not working properly! When people hire vendors for weddings -- a milestone in their life they trust that they'll show up, deliver, and help make the day special. Our Town fell short in every way! My cousin hired this company to provide a photo booth for his wedding -- a once-in-a-lifetime event. Not only did they fail to deliver the most basic part of their service (the actual photos), but their customer service has been completely non-existent since. Despite repeated attempts to reach them by phone and email, they have received limited response, no explanation, and absolutely no support. At the event, there was minimal on-site ability to troubleshoot, and afterward, they have been impossible to get in touch with. It's incredibly disappointing and frankly unacceptable for a company in the wedding industry -- an industry built on trust and reliability -- to fail in such a major way. Weddings are expensive, and vendors are chosen carefully with the expectation that they will contribute to making the day special. Our Town Party Venue and Rentals not only failed to meet this expectation -- they have completely ignored it. I would strongly caution anyone considering them for an event: look elsewhere. WARNING: READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING WITH OUR TOWN PARTY RENTALS As a mother, as a business professional, and as a human being, I feel morally obligated to warn others about the appalling experience I had with Our Town Party Rentals -- an experience so unnecessarily stressful, unprofessional, and borderline threatening that I'm still reeling from it. I booked a water slide bounce house for my daughter's birthday party (only a week in advance because here in the Hudson Valley, it has been one of the rainiest months this year), paying $536.69 in full. The associate who helped me initially was kind but that's how they are when taking your money. I was told the inflatable would be dropped off Friday for a Saturday party, with pickup on Monday or Tuesday. Perfect. Well, fast forward to Wednesday (mind you the party is Saturday). I received a surprise text saying they wanted to pick up the unit Saturday night, not the agreed-upon timeframe. When I reminded them I had family visiting and that my home doesn't have a time limit on parties, I was met with a curt and abrupt cancellation -- via text -- stating they were refunding me and not fulfilling the order. As a mother with 50+ people attending, that was devastating. I had to beg for basic human decency and ask to speak to a manager. That's when I learned I had already been texting with the "manager," Kiara. After speaking to the associate and asking to speak to the owner she hung up on me. I proceeded to call back and get Kiara - after I expressed concern she smugly told me I should be "grateful" they were refunding me. Kiara condescendingly told me with laughter in her voice "good luck finding something on the busiest weekend of the year". When I questioned the rude comment she simply claimed it was a "conflict of interest" to bring the unit. What does that even mean? And when I asked to speak with the owner, I was told, and I quote, "He won't want to speak to someone like you." Was that racially charged? Discriminatory? It felt personal, offensive, and disgusting. Only AFTER I left a review did the owner, Ken, suddenly decide my time was worth his. He called me but not to apologize, but to belittle and gaslight me, saying my review was "inaccurate" and that my feelings weren't valid. He had no issue admitting he called only because I left a bad review -- not because of the mistreatment I experienced. He said he would deliver the unit but pressured me to remove my review. Because I didn't want to ruin my daughter's day I agreed to move forward with the company and remove the review. However, I was not removing the review until I received the inflatable! Wednesday night Ken continued to follow up in an increasingly hostile and manipulative way via text. Then today, without any notice, Ken cancelled my reservation AGAIN and claimed he didn't "trust" bringing the unit to my home because I wasn't able to schedule a phone call on his terms. He refused to communicate professionally by text and then threatened me. Ken went so far as to look up my profession (I'm a local realtor), weaponize it against me, and try to intimidate me into silence -- all because I expected the service I paid for and didn't tolerate being mistreated. Since all this was put on a text message I had to escalate this to my attorney due to the clear harassment and defamation attempt. Parents, event planners, and local residents -- beware. This company is not only unreliable, they are rude, volatile, and unprofessional. Don't let the Google reviews fool you -- do your homework and read their Yelp reviews, which echo many of my same experiences. I only wish I had checked them first. What should've been a beautiful celebration for my daughter turned into an anxiety-ridden mess thanks to this company's utter lack of professionalism, empathy, and integrity. Our town Party, needs to be out of business. They are unprofessional and needs to take courses on how to run a business. I contacted them mid January 2024, looking for a venue to do my daughters baby shower for February. The person I spoke to was Ken, where he told me someone had cancelled they reservation for the day I was looking for. He gave me a price and I was interested in seeing it. The next day I went to the venue where I encountered the owner who confirmed the date was cancelled and the day was available to rent. Right away I gave my deposit. Two weeks before the event I was calling the venue to finish paying the remainder of the balance. Where I left messages and no return calls back. I passed by the venue, never no one there to assist me. At this point I'm getting nervous. I went to there website to see if I can pay the remainder but my reservation wasn't reflecting the deposit I already made. I needed a live person to talk to in order to make my payment. I filled out a contact form on their website praying someone calls me back. One week before my event, Ken calls me to inform me that there was a mistake in making a reservation for the date because it was rented to someone else. There was no cancelation and his excuse was that he must of looked at his 2025 calendar. BULL CRAP!!!! What a liar. He ask me if I wanted to change the date. How can I change the date if I already had invitation out there for the date and location. He stated he was looking for another location for me and kept telling me he will call me back. Never once he called me back. I was calling him and OfCourse no answer. After speaking to my family and guest I decided to change the date. Now, I'm speaking to the owner, who doesn't act like an owner and can't make any decision. I'm telling him, I wanted to change the date that ken told me was available. I'm begging him to please have Ken call me to confirm the new date and of course he promised he will tell him to call me. For three days, I called, left messages and nothing. I wanted to change the date and They basically ghosted me. I cried that who weekend. I couldn't believe that these people did this to me with no remorse or any care of the stress that I was going through. Because of short notice I had to cancel my event and do a little baby shower with friends and family in my house. They ruined my whole event. They ruined the opportunity for my daughter to enjoy a nice big event for her first baby to enjoy with everyone and now its limited to a few. I spent a lot of money buying decorations to decorate this place. All the food I purchased for the day. These people don't deserve to run this place where they take advantage of people and sell them dreams to later make it a nightmare. I truly believe in KARMA and one day for all they did to anyone like they did to me. Something has to give. Unacceptable behavior and bad business. My next step is to report them to the better business bureau. 0 STARS if I could!! Horrible communication, can't rely on them for your event because they always come up with something!! You talk to different people and they all tell you different things. I booked this place and gave them my deposit, my party is suppose to be in two weeks and they call me out of the blue telling me that they had already booked someone else for that same date and that she had gave the deposit a day before I did. I really can't believe all this time since I booked it and they JUST come to find out that they had an other person booked for the same date. I am really upset because I had everything done from invitations to family coming from another state to celebrate with us and also to everything being paid and being sent to that location since that's where the party was suppose to be hosted in. I then had to go and look for a whole new venue mind you the party is in two weeks ALMOST everybody is booked already. Thank god I found another venue because if not so much money would've gone to waste but they obviously don't care about that. The other part was that now I needed my deposit back to secure this place and they took their sweet time to send it back, I had to message them multiple times because they just weren't cooperating. Finally when they do answer the guy answers back with and attitude like THE AUDACITY, after they messed everything up they still give you an attitude for DEMANDING YOUR OWN MONEY BACK THAT YOU NEED. Our town party rentals ruined my wedding. I had booked Tent Package #2 and PAID IN FULL for this package on June 27. I received 2 email verifications and 2 invoices describing my purchase and reservation. The week before my wedding, my fiancé had spoken to a woman to ask when we would be expecting delivery as we had rented an Airbnb for our event. She basically told us that this would depend on availability and cannot schedule a delivery based on our needs. I then contacted the week of our wedding and told them that we rented out an Airbnb and needed a specific time and date they were looking at delivering the equipment and received the same answer. Thursday I received a voicemail that they were able to drop off the equipment that day and I told her I would have to speak with the homeowner and will call them back. After I received the okay I called, left a voicemail and sent an email AND ALL CORRESPONDENCE WAS LEFT UNANSWERED!! Come Friday I received a phone call from Kiera and another woman that I was 100% scheduled for delivery that day. However, NOTHING CAME and by no one's surprise they closed without contacting us. Saturday, the day of our wedding my fiancé is now on the phone with them and they had told him they were delivering that morning after a delivery they had nearby. Our guests began to arrive around 12pm and since the tent, chairs, and tables were not set up they all came into the house where now they are seeing the bride and bridal party. It was extremely difficult to control the crowd without adequate seating or entertainment. We had decorations that were made by hand and purchased, a stereo that I couldn't set up, food piled up in the kitchen and the heat did not make it better. At this point, I was dressed with hair and makeup done and couldn't help. The tents did not come until 2:15PM which happened to be 15 MINUTES BEFORE MY WEDDING!! The company knew this, I mentioned on multiple occasions that I will need this equipment before 1pm Saturday THE LATEST. They set up the tent but left the rest thrown on the lawn for my guests, fiancé and bridal parties to set up. My wedding was delayed and even after nuptials my guests helped set up the food. This was extremely embarrassing and the owner has THE NERVE TO REFUSE ANY KIND OF ACCOUNTABILITY OR REFUND!! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!! Terrible communication, terrible set up procedures and terrible company!! I gave you almost a week to make this right. I am not just someone who's looking for money. We now have to redo the entire ceremony when we recover from this as he was so busy trying to keep everything together my poor husband didn't eat at his wedding or even enjoy it. I'm extremely pissed and annoyed by the unprofessional way I was treated by this company. This past Sunday, June 2nd, I had a birthday party for my triplets. Having done business with this company before, I felt comfortable enough to rent everything from them to minimize dealing with multiple companies. HUGE MISTAKE! Before booking and signing a contract with this company, I spoke to their representative & was assured that everything would be dropped off & the tent would be set up on Friday evening (Saturday being the absolute latest). This ended up not happening once another customer rented the same bounce house and tent for Saturday. Once my balance was paid in full Friday morning, I couldn't get a delivery window or in contact with anyone. Finally, Saturday afternoon someone answered. I expressed that my party was at 12 noon and I needed the set up as soon as possible. I was told he would call me back. That was the last time I heard from anyone. No one answered any of my calls, texts or emails. The next I heard from anyone was on Sunday morning. The truck arrived at 10am...incomplete! They didn't know the correct amount of tables, chairs or items rented and the bounce house was still at someone else's house. The delivery men left & came back at 1215. My on time guests and kids watched them set up the bounce house. Subsequently, my husband and I still had to get our triplets & ourselves ready after setting up the tables & chairs (the delivery men said it's not their responsibility). We were all almost 2 hours late to our own party since we had to now set up & we don't reside at that location. I never got the game I rented & paid for. This was a complete nightmare. Obviously money talks & the company taking on the additional rental was more important than the contract we had in place or their reputation. Tgey delivery men informed me this is an ongoing thing & there are many unhappy customers. I have yet to hear from anyone yet about any forms of refunds or compensation for their unprofessionalism & tardiness. Not even an apology. NEVER AGAIN! UNPROFESSIONAL!, UNRESPONSIVE! FULL OF EMPTY PROMISES, HUGE MANIPULATORS, LIARS! THEY DON'T CARE TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND STRESS YOU OUT! I rented 8 round tables, 64 chiavari chairs, 6 room lights, "baby" table, for my baby shower over a month in advance, and received not only minimum to zero communication, my order was late, incomplete, there were broken tables which I wasn't able to use, the chairs came without the cushion as advertised on their website, I didn't get the lights, the finishing piece to the baby table either. After delivery was late, I called multiple times, then text the number and let the owner know this was unacceptable and unprofessional. Ken, the owner, gave me the worst attitude, hung up on me, refused to speak with me, defamed me, telling my mother that I was dangerous, and his delivery team felt intimidated because I kept calling and was upset. They were over 3 hours late for delivery, and closed at this point, with NO RESPONSE; (funny they weren't intimidated to receive the $100 tip my mother gave them, plus gatorade and water because it was hot,) and they didn't deliver the rest of my order that was paid for!! Then Ken tried to charge my mother, who was not the client per day that THEY decided not to pick up the items. (4 days, which was blocking my mother's driveway and she would take out every day hoping they would pick it up, since pick up day was supposed to be same day, July 9th at 6pm.) Because I am 8 months pregnant and this caused me to be overly stressed!! I ended up in the hospital for bleeding and they do not want to return any of my money. I have all my polite emails and text messages on hand that I will use in court.This company needs to be shut down. Or Ken along with his team, needs to take a whole course for business and customer service etiquette. read more

if I could leave NO stars I would. Im so heartbroken by the quality of not obly the service but the products I received. I booked with this company back in MARCH for my sons 1st Birthday. I did a tent package and rented a bouncy house. I spent 963.76$ I don't even know where to begin. This company is great when trying to get your business and the once they've had you pay in full (a week before your event FYI) They show their true colors. I was told different information by different associates no one seemed to actually know what they were talking about. I was told id receive a call the Monday before my party with date and time frame for delivery It never happened. I called multiple times to get an answer and they count provide ive then told me a date and time in which i took time off from work to go & wait for them they never showed and never called to tell me theyd be late. I called and a friend of mine called for almost an hour straight with no answe (i have phone records to prove it.) Even texted and dm'd them on their social media still nothing. When they finally answered I asked them about tent walls we were expecting horrible rain the day of my party and the picture on their website showed tent walls. They explained my tent didn't come with walls and itd be a fee. They said it was too late to add it on that their truck was already loaded with my order. I told them i was disappointed but understood because I shouldn't have just assumed because of what i saw in their website. Once they came to set up the tent one of the guys setting up said they would be bringing the tent walls i thanked them & said how appreciative i was. there were 4 separate bundles of"walls" the guy delivering it said he couldn't put it up for me because if bad weather happened over night it could cause damage to the structure of the tent told me that all i had to do was clip them on before the party. the next morning when going to put up the tent walls myself i found them to be FILTHY covered in BUGS, ripped & also they werent the correct walls for this tent. I took videos and pictures and immediately called this company. The owner was nasty and said "we were trying to accommodate you and literally took these walls from a party that had ended and brought it straight to you.also you opted for us not to put the walls for you is what my delivery driver noted on your account " i made him aware that was a blatant lie and told him what his driver told my husband and IThey charged me 200$ for these walls & i told him how do you not inspect products you are charging me for. I told him i want my money refunded his response was "well what do you want to do because i have other people that want the walls i can have one of my guys come pick them up" i told him i spent 2 hours trying to put these up and at this point he can take them back. He said we will just discuss this on monday we come pick it up. My brother in law proceeded to help me setup when time to put the tables & chairs up we found them to be not only dirty covered in actual dirt grass slugs & other bugs. But they were cheap plastic that was broken. They wouldnt stay locked open they wobbles and the plastic was stained. I was mortified that I spent so much money on this and shocked by the quality.I took pictures immediately and sent them via text message to the company & called. The office manager answered and rushed me off the phone said she had to help someone else and she's sorry to rush me off but she can't continue to listen that she would let ken the owner know and he will call back as soon as he is done with a delivery. I told her i want my money back she apologized and said ken would call me back to discuss. That was Sat 6/24 at 11:05am its now monday 6:26 11:40 am & i have not received a call back. I texted telling them I still haven't been called back and have heard nothing. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the frustration DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY I would've been better off buy my own plastic tables and chairs!Their customer service is awful they are rude and clearly lie. read more

ABSOLUTELY & UNBELIEVABLY Unprofessional service!!.. Doesn't answer any phones (ALL 3).. Owner says 1 thing & does another. He didn't show or have me sign an agreement of a "Cleaning FEE"...He kept telling me that he did but produced no signature from us. That interrupted my account drastically...The price he told me was NOT what it ended up costing in the end. Lied to my fiancé who he didn't think I'd recruit for retaining my refund & told him that there was an agreement for it! A MASTER MANIPULATOR who tried to take advantage of us because we're females who were trying to book a child's party! He returned my so-called "Cleaning Fee" 5 days later but kept telling us different days as to when he would actually do so only after we had to go find him for it. He didn't convey MOST of our communication to his spouse so she tried to threaten us about reviews. We are protected by the 1ST Amendment & we wouldn't have to put up a review if you had kept your word & proceeded professionally. (My Aunt is a court magistrate & my Uncle is an attorney) so STOP trying to put fear in people & want to cry victim when you guys are in the WRONG.
