    Damaged by the movers

    Our move was scheduled for Friday evening. When the two gentlemen arrived at 6p, they informed us they had been working since 7a. Understandably they were exhausted after a 12 hour day, in the 100+ degree Dallas heat. Once they finished loading all of our stuff in after 9p, we started to head over to our new home which is only a 15 minute drive. While we are in route, we get a call from one of the movers telling us that he isn't feeling well and is having back cramps and he doesn't feel like he can complete the move today. He provided us with 2 options. Either he can push through and get our furniture unloaded into our new place which he would rather not do, or they can store the moving truck with all of our furniture in it at their warehouse and complete the move the following day. He provided us with the number of his supervisor John which we then reached out to discuss our options. We explained to John that our whole life was literally in that moving truck. At our new home, we didnt have anything. Which means we didnt have a bed, bedsheets, blankets etc. Furthermore, we have a newborn boy and his clothes, basinet and even formula were boxed in that truck since we were expecting everything to be moved in that same evening. We asked John if we got a cheap motel for $40 for the night, if they could reimburse that charge and he said no. Omair and I didnt want to jeopardize the health and well being of another individual due to our move, which is why we decided that we didnt want to force the mover to complete the move on that same day which should have been the case, however John was completely dead set on not helping us at all. Omair and I even tried to buy an air mattress so we had a place to sleep at least, however due to COVID-19, all the stores were already closed. We were out of options and we, along with our newborn son had to sleep on the floor for the night. And our floors are hard wood floors, not even having the comfort and luxury of carpet to sleep on. The following morning 2 new movers arrived and unloaded all of our furniture very quickly and professionally. Also during the move, our brand new Peloton Bike ($2,200) was broken as well. Following the move, we tried reaching out to John multiple times to no avail. Suffice it to say, we will never be using Our Truck Moving ever again and will also be letting our friends and family know to avoid this company and use someone different for their moving needs.

    In the most objective way I can convey, working with Our Truck was very disappointing (to say the least). MIn the beginning with the sales representatives the experience was positive, but it went downhill from when the movers arrived. I was moving from a one bedroom apartment on the second floor to another one bedroom on the second floor, only 20 minutes away from each other. All of my boxes were stacked in the front of my apartment (maybe around 10 large and 4 small) and the only items left were my bed, nightstand, table, tv, and entertainment center. It took the 2 movers nearly 2 hours just to get everything in the truck on the first apartment, and they destroyed my nightstand in the process. They bent my bed poles in the process and were struggling to carry my couch. To make things worse, there was no time to reassemble anything when they got to my second apartment. The move took 3.5hours which added an extra $200 to my bill when I had already paid for 2 hours (thinking it couldn't take too long for them to move ready to go items). I tried to speak with management about reimbursement for lost time (due to the clean up of my broken furniture) and my broken furniture and was met with an attitude and shady behavior. Their manager wouldn't give me any number or email to contact. I had to call and email 3-4 times to get a hold of someone and waited 3 months for them to meet me with $30 reimbursement for the nightstand (when I was originally told $10-15) and no remorse. They made my move terrible and the movers estimated my move would be under 2 hours "Easy". TIP: Make sure to agree upon price for every expensive piece of furniture or they will default to .60 per pound article - if you can even get a hold of their customer care office or managers. It's in their contract that you can agree ahead of time, so don't let them waste your time first. I never thought my one bedroom furniture would be this difficult for an experienced moving company. I had 4 people with me and all of them thought this was ridiculous service. Be careful before booking and make sure the movers you get can lift heavy items.

    If I could leave 0 stars I would. They broke my dining table, my dresser and scratched all sorts of other furniture. The damages claim took 3-4months to process and got paid 75$. The movers came out smelling like pot and had absolutely no professionally. Worst company ever. I will be uploading pictures of damages as well as the email they sent as proof. stay away from these guys.

    Broken hutch door

    I'm sincerely wanting you to save yourself money and belongings. I've never written a negative review but after 120 days of waiting for the claims department to review and then reject my claim for a broken hutch they are responsible for and the company will not not respond to any of my communications, I am left with no choice but to hopefully spare you the same misfortune. Sadly this service was very poor.

    The front of my dryer which now I have to slightly lift up to fully close. It's only 2 years old!

    Worst moving company ever, they canceled 30 minutes before the scheduled move. It costed me fortune to hire movers for the same day.

    Updated review: I am saddened that I even have to post an…read moreupdate for this company: Our first experience was so good, and I thought Aaron and his company were trustworthy. However, upon arrival and unpacking our moving truck (after a 5-day moving halfway across the country ordeal,) we saw that there was damage to some of our things. Our couches were scratched up and stained, with fraying and tearing in some places. My husband's one-of-a-kind woodworking bench (handmade by a disabled veteran in DFW specifically for him) had a huge gash on the top from the movers piling things on it. (Even though we asked them not to.) After turning on our TV, we also noticed there was a vertical line in it. We had Samsung come out the following week, and they told us it was damaged from the move. We immediately reported the issues with the couch and woodworking bench to Aaron and sent him pictures of the damage. At first, he tried to skirt his responsibility, but after relaying the information to him again, he said he would file with his insurance. That was December 19th. When we confirmed that the damage to the TV was a result of the move and not a technical issue, we also reported that to him and sent him the technician's report. We have repeatedly asked him about the claim, and he either doesn't answer us or says he "filed with the insurance" and we "should hear from them soon." At the time of this posting, it is January 29th. We have contacted him repeatedly throughout the weeks while also giving him ample time to respond. My husband once again texted him this past Friday, and he STILL hasn't responded. I apologize in advance to anyone who read my review and used this business beforehand. Like I said, I am saddened that it has come to this. We will likely have to file a claim in small claims court, and we are looking into other avenues to have his poor business practices reported so no one else is left holding the bag like us. If he ever does decide to do what is right and have his insurance cover the damages, I will update the review. As of right now, we're out the money we paid for the movers and the money it will cost us for the repairs ourselves. I definitely do NOT recommend this business anymore.

    Very good experience. These guys were so flexible and helpful at a time that was really difficult…read morefor me. I was able to get set up and sleeping my own bed after a few hours. I would definitely use again.
