    Mold on the ceiling
    Harley H.

The place is COVERED in mold and mildew. We had to move tables because the ceiling was leaking on someone and they made up for it by giving us two free appetizers. Our server was nice but all of the tables around use were cover in drops of water and the guy seating everyone just kept putting more and more people under the leaking roof. There was even water in the salt grinders so nothing was coming out. No restaurant with holes in the ceiling, mold, warped walls and floors should be open. Outback is a giant corporation, so why aren't they fixing this??

Filet- sweet potato and the a salty nasty lobster! I've been going to Outback Steakhouse since the early Nineties. It was a treat. I real Steak house. Tonight was the last. It has turned into an overpriced fast food restaurant. Out waitress was awful but not quite as bad as the food- What a shame. Gross!

Went to outback tonight first time since they reopened. Service was great everything was fast. Lots of employees everywhere helping out. Food was delicious especially the drinks strong and a great price!

What a delightful find!!…read more My wife's family is from Houma and if you are from the area, you know that the town is overrun with chain restaurants. We had seen Cafe Dominique driving by a few times downtown so we decided to have dinner there and are so glad that we did. Make no mistake; this place is not a casual dining place and not like any other place in Houma. No kids menu, no plastic utensils (or even cheap aluminum ones!), starched linen and beautiful table settings. It is pricey but worth it. The menu featured numerous upscale American dishes; rib eye steaks, crab ravioli, osso bucco, roasted chicken and all were delicious. We started with an appetizer of a local goat cheese encrusted with pistachios and served warm that was magnificent! We had more than enough for the both of us and the kids even ate some of it. My wife had the rib eye that was cooked to perfection and served with grilled asparagus and roasted potatoes. Steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and the grilled asparagus was out of this world; tender and tasty. I went with the Osso Bucco (special for the evening; they have specials each night) which was really delicious; tender and with a great tasting sauce. I was a little disappointed with the risotto that accompanied it but it was served with some of the great tasting asparagus as well so all in all, a solid dinner. The cafe is a little deceiving size-wise from the outside; looks small but once inside you can see about 3-4 different seating areas and also has a good size bar. Serve a wide variety of wines by the glass and beer by the bottle. Once the weather cools down, the outside patio will be in full swing! All in all a delightful dinner and a great find. Definitely more expensive than any other place you'll find in Houma but if tired of Copelands and the other chain restaurants, you'll be happy to eat at Cafe Dominique.

To Whom It May Concern; Please accept this letter as notice…read moreof my resignation from my position As Head Wait/ Server with Copelands Of New Orleans (Houma), as of September 4, 2026 EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. I have appreciated my time here, but I have chosen to resign due to countless reasons. For example, personal reasons, to further my education, loss of personal life, physical and mental decline, but the MAIN reason for my resignation is the Toxic Culture. My personal reasons involve my health and mental wellbeing. I almost have my recertification back as well, I am a "National Certified Medical Assistant". As for when I mentioned "loss of personal life", I'm referring to the fact that this job demands so much time and energy, that I sacrifice my relationships, health and hobbies, with no appreciation in return. As for my physical and mental decline, my physical and mental functional capacity has had a measurable deterioration since the start of my employment. As for the toxic culture of the work environment, I am constantly faced with disrespect, belittling, workplace hostility, people constantly damaging my organizational performance, lack of transparency from management, unrealistic expectations & burnout, ethical failures, fear of suspension, demotion, an or termination. There are some managers who have a tendency to tear me down, rather than help me learn and grow in a way suitable for me and my learning curve. Thank You for your help and guidance during my employment with Copeland's Of New Orleans. I wish you and the company much success in the future. If I can do anything to help during this transition, please let me know.

Get ready to let the good times roll when you walk through the door, the sign above the counter…read moresays "Welcome to Cajun Paradise, I'm with couyon" being born and raised in southwest Louisiana I can definitely get the meaning in the correct context, I can also recognize authentic Cajun cooking when it's put down in front of me and mais sha let me tell you these folks are doing it proud. We stopped in here for lunch and ended up with a sampling of what in my opinion is probably the best example of cajun food done right in Houma and for miles around - everything was delicious and the service from Sarah L was outstanding. We started with the Charbroiled Oysters served with toasted french bread, the plump Louisiana oysters were succulent and dipping the french bread in the cajun butter became an obsession, definitely a must do starter - I wasn't leaving here without trying their chicken and sausage gumbo, perfect texture and complex flavors it will make you a believer, my hats off to the chef, definitely authentic - the fried catfish filets and jumbo fried shrimp platters were outstanding although we didn't do it these are the foundation of an amazing po-boy (maybe next time) - all the sides were exceptional from the fried okra and onion rings to my personal favorite the skillet fried potatoes and who could leave without a few beignets served hot covered in powdered sugar - what a meal they should have a place to lay down in the back for a "cajun nap". In my opinion if you craving some authentic cajun dishes you can't go wrong here, the portions are nice and the prices are very reasonable. Our schedule didn't allow us to return as we had planned but will definitely return when we are back in the area...
