We started with the Charbroiled Oysters served with toasted french bread, the plump Louisiana oysters were succulent and dipping the french bread in the cajun butter became an obsession, definitely a must do starter - I wasn't leaving here without trying their chicken and sausage gumbo, perfect texture and complex flavors it will make you a believer, my hats off to the chef, definitely authentic - the fried catfish filets and jumbo fried shrimp platters were outstanding although we didn't do it these are the foundation of an amazing po-boy (maybe next time) - all the sides were exceptional from the fried okra and onion rings to my personal favorite the skillet fried potatoes and who could leave without a few beignets served hot covered in powdered sugar - what a meal they should have a place to lay down in the back for a "cajun nap".
