I didn't expect to find authentic Italian food in Houma, and to say I'm pleasantly surprised is an understatement. The restaurant is set in a charming renovated white house, with an interior full of characters and art. The outdoor patio, strung with lights, felt cozy and inviting, like dining in someone's backyard. Service was excellent. Our server, Cortney, was cheerful, friendly and knowledgeable. She recited the whole menu and added personal touch The food was equally outstanding. Our favorite appetizers were chargrilled oysters, carpaccio, and Caesar salad. The foie gras, on the other hand, was weak compared to the other apps. My cioppino pasta was phenomenal, perfect texture and incredible flavors. This is one of our favorite places to celebrate special occasions or just grab a really good but to eat. Their beef carpaccio is hands down the best you will ever eat! The meat is perfectly tender and the topping is packed with so much flavor. We usually always get the fish special no matter what it is because is delicious every time. If you are looking for a dish that is both sweet and savory I highly recommend the airline chicken. The lasagna is also delicious! Really you can't go wrong with anything on the menu here. This was a surprise, an extremely high quality Italian restaurant with top notch service, ambiance, and food in Houma, LA, of all places. The interior is extremely eclectic and decorated well; the ambiance outside was also nicely done. The restaurant is a renovated existing house with parking available across the street. Our server, Courtney read off the menu of memory like something in The Bear. The food was excellent; the chargrilled oysters, Caesar salad, and pasta being the favorites. The foie gras tart was slightly a miss, but we enjoyed the appetizers, mains, and dessert. Their cocktails, including the lavender spritz, are excellent as well. It sucks that they took it off the menu because it was the best pasta I've ever had and I love my pasta. I also tried the salmon and it was cooked to perfection with a tasty side of fries with it. For desserts you literally cannot go wrong with the tiramisu or the gelato. The tiramisu is heaven in a cup and the gelato is a perfect way to treat your palate after pampering your taste buds. If you don't know about this place it looks like a nice little home town restaurant from the outside but it's so so so much more. The bar is a great little low key hang out spot. Food is amazing!
