RENTERS BEWARE OF ADJUSTMENTS ON ARRIVAL / BEING OVER CHARGED Read ENTIRE Rental Agreement closely. Important details regarding rental are not highlighted by rental department staff. You would think it would be incumbent upon Outdoor Travel management to highlight potential additional charges at pick-up. We were shown how to use onboard generator but not advised that there was an ADDITIONAL CHARGE for use. That important COSTLY detail was only discovered when final bill was received. Not only were we not made aware of possible additional charge(s) (charges as listed in the Rental Description (SMALL PRINT) / Adjustments On Arrival (SMALL PRINT), we were OVERCHARGED FOR USE OF GENERATOR. Adjustment to bill was only made AFTER matter was brought up with Rental Management. Spoke to Rental Manager then RV Sales Manager regarding matter. Even though the possible charge was not disclosed at pickup, their argument was "Use was listed in the agreement (SMALL PRINT) and to expect no adjustments". Having discussed matter with RV Sales Manager, this appeared to be a revenue-grabbing opportunity for company. There was absolutely no consideration for the customer! RENTERS BEWARE OF FINE PRINT IN AGREEMENT!! Had we simply been advised of use, alternative arrangements would have been made to mitigate the COSTLY generator bill. WILL DEFININATELY NOT RETURN!!!! If you are looking to purchase, drive up to SICARD RV. Have dealt with them on multiple occasions in the past. They know how to look after their customers and provide outstanding customer service!! read more

Please be cautious of the reviews provided. They provide a credit for completing these when you first purchase your trailer (this is typically before you have any concerns....). Since writing our intial review, about our positive experience buying, we have had multiple issues that have been not resolved/poorly resolved by Outdoor Travel. These are the most recent..... -Within a year, our flush "leaked" and flooded our trailer. This was the second time we used the flush to clean the black tank. They "fixed" it, only to find that it was still leaking when we tried to use it again. We just decided we weren't going to deal with it and have not used it since. No cost for them to "repair" it, but we recieved a $200 bill almost 7 months later, when they told us this was actually not covered. -seals on our slide out - again within a year, these starting falling off. We took it in (the same time as above) and they "fixed" it by putting staples in the seal. We were not happy with this fix, but I called Aspen and they said this was their recommendation. Again no cost at pick-up, but again we recieved a bill 7 months later, another $200 for staples. - back window was very hard to open - again within the year. We took it in (the same time as above) and they "fixed" it by bending it? It still sticks......Again no cost at pick-up, but again we recieved a bill 7 months later, another $100. So total for this bill, when we were told no cost at pick-up in May (we received 7 months later...even though we have been there a couple times since and they did not mention) was $600 and they put some staples in, pushed the window in, and fixed one fitting on the flush and now it leaks somewhere else...... Again, these are only some of the issues we have had......I would think twice about buying from Outdoor Travel. read more

We took our campervan in for servicing and while waiting, we started exploring bigger, roomier options. The next day we were back with serious intentions. The Thor Axis 2023 was calling our name. Paul Binkley, who sold me my first campervan, looked into a trade-in and we were able to settle easily into the larger vehicle. We are looking forward to our first outing, but as with most new RV's, there are a few issues to look after, hence the 4 star rating. They had to hunt for a second set of keys, we are missing a vent cover on the front dash (to be rectified shortly) and our tires were very underinflated - that made for an interesting drive home during a windy cold front. However, Outdoor Travel was wiling to set us up with Eastgate Ford to look at the alignment for us. So, overall a good experience. read more

I bought a used 27 ft trailer great sales team very helpful and knowledgeable but the pre-inspection on my unit was not completed very well. the toilet still had winter antifreeze in the system and had a bad smell. don't think they checked everything. The TV antenna was very dirty. Black spots all over it. Plus I had to wait for the weight distribution system to be installed, when I was scheduled to pick it up. Thought this should have been done before I arrived that day. Overall it was a good experience. read more

this place is awful. No customer service, useless staff. Once you sign the dotted line they do not care about you or your unit. Run away and find a better dealership. Everything is out of warranty, or your problem for not reporting it at the inspection, which is another joke. If you purchase the extended warranties be prepared to bring your Unit to them every two years. When you bring it some clown will look out the window and tell you everything is okay or say well that's not covered under warranty. Horrible. I would rate a no star and I purchased a 140,000.00 cash. Total buyers remorse. I'm currently looking for somewhere else to have my unit serviced. Stay away from these crooks. read more

I got a RV 2 years ago in December got to use it the following year. Then I found out that my water pump was licking and the second battery was dead I even got a bumper to bumper warrant paid four thousand of dollars for it. Then I phone the company and told us the not all item or under warranty anymore. I took in the RV at East Coast they told me that it was only in our head. They sure know how too fine off the people with this I wouldn't tell anybody to buy a RV from them. Outdoor Travel was wonderful to deal with regarding the purchase of our new travel trailer, but that's where the good ended. The service department installed our hitch improperly, sending us down the road without any sway protection. After attending our local dealer in London, the hitch was re-installed properly, but not until weeks of troubleshooting. The wrong brackets were used initially and worst of all Outdoor Travel neglected to GREASE OUR HITCH, which repeatedly caused stress to the tow vehicle. The tow vehicle kept throwing error codes causing all systems involving tow mode and stability to go offline. In the end it was a simple fix and a hitch installation 101 huge mistake that could have cost us and other motorists our lives. I will never return to this dealer! There is no quality control regarding work being done on our rigs. read more

This was our second RV trailer purchase. The first one we purchased from Camp Mart and it was a totally horrible experience. We kind of expected this to be the same type of experience but we were pleasantly surprised. From the initial e-mails with Bill to signing on the dotted line it was a positive experience. Even the negotiation process was never really uncomfortable. They, "Bill, the salesman and Dave the owner" always kept thing light and friendly. Our biggest surprise was the fact that it didn't matter who we ran across at the dealership, they were all helpful and friendly. We bought a used RV in February. Because of Covid most interactions were done on phone and email. I clearly told the salesman we had our own plates I even emailed pictures of the plate and ownership. We go to pick up the RV they put new plates on. The salesman tells us don't worry you were not charged for them but oh wait yes we were clearly shows a 75.00 charge on our invoice. Next problem once we got there to pick up the RV after driving 2 1/2 hours we are told we need a braking control installed on our truck or they will not let us take the RV another cost that we had not anticipated. This could have been communicated to us prior to our arrival and we could have had this done on our own without all the stress. Get the RV home TV does not work the inside under the mattress totally disgusting with used feminine products wrapped in toilet paper under the mattress as well as a few other things. I sent an email to every person we had dealt with including the manger not one reply to address these issue. I would never recommend using this dealership to anyone. My families experience with this place is a horror story come to life. My honest opinion is they just want your money and you don't get same experience if you buy a used unit as opposed to a new one . The day my son was to pick up they're 2012 fifth wheel from them they called and said the AC unit was not working and a new one would need to be put on- They had already arranged for someone to pick it up for them (as they do t have a fifth wheel hitch and it was going to be parked) So Outdoor travel said they would provide a brand new AC unit and provide delivery for free- The delivery was a disaster guy didn't come when he said he would , he came early on purpose and dropped the fifth wheel where he felt it should go not where my son wanted it placed The unit was not cleaned properly at all - I doubt it was cleaned at all to be honest! It's been 3 weeks now and still no ac unit - My son call and gets the runaround all the time and they won't even take they're calls. I have bought many trailers in past from other local dealers but I would NEVER deal with this company again - Customer service and rv service sucks - once you sign those papers they are pretty much done with you . I have a feeling we won't ever see that AC unit they will draw it out past the 30 day warranty and then say it's not they're problem . I advise you not to use this rental company, the reception is abominable disrespectful, you are stolen exorbitant packages, you are made to make windshield insurance for a vehicle riddled with cracks, the vehicles are old and dirty and the options do not work all. the beds are broken and usable. Totally disorganized place and they're all about making as much money as possible turning over the vehicles same day. Their pick up drop off times are brutal as everyone always is late. Drop off between 8am and 11am otherwise they charge 50bucks an hour. We were at a campsite about 3hrs away which means you need to wake up by 6am to make it back in time since you need to empty all tanks and fill gas and clean the place before dropping it off. Just not possible and not surprised everyone is late! Pick up time is 2pm and I had to wait over 3 hrs to get the rv when I arrived which meant not getting to our campsite until late wasting a full day and then having to return by 11am a week later? Brutal. There's not many rv places to choose from but I would look at other options if possible. read more

Went in to purchase a screen door handle for RV that was sold, ready to purchase new RV at this dealer. Store open til 7 pm, I arrived at 5:01 to see some staff leaving, I asked if it was open as per the sign, answer was yes, by an exiting employee. I was met by an eager gentleman who asked if I needed help, I explained I needed a door handle, he quickly told me to come back as parts were gone for the day, and unless I was buying an RV, I could not be helped today. I exited the store and returned, knowing I had bought in the past, handles were on the shelf, not behind a parts counter. I picked up the part and took to him, bitterly, he asked MasterCard, Visa or American Express. I said debit...he quickly responded with I don't have to sell you this you know, but I could sell you a trailer....I said "buddy, that's not going to happen, Keep it" , I left the store and will purchase handle and new 40 foot RV elsewhere.
