The…read morebike was fine and the service was excellent (my water bottle was too big to fit in a standard cage, so they lent me a satchel for it at no extra charge). They had no problem with me returning the bike after hours, either--I just locked the bike up to the rack outside the shop with the lock they had provided. My only quibble is with the routes supplied on their website--on my first trip, I headed out to Tea Hill and China Point using the terse directions on their site and soon had to switch to navigating with my phone. (On the second trip I took, to the North Shore, I used a day trip route provided by the city's tourism department, and that was much easier to follow.) I would definitely rent from here again, though.

When we asked for something besides the regular pedals the bikes came with the friendly staff offered to install SPD clip on pedals and loaned us the appropriate shoes at no extra cost. Also loaned us helmets and bag for the rear rack at no extra cost. And as noted by Tara Z. we also returned the bikes after hours and locked them in front of the shop without any problem. The service was amazing. We would return to MacQueen's without hesitation.

We rented bikes for the family to bike from St. Peter's Bat to Mount Stewart. The woman staffing…read morewas really nice. We ended up with a tandem bike and two individual bikes. What we really should've paid attention to was the quality of the bike maintenance. Very poorly maintained, sticking gears, rattling chains that were massively covered in dirt and grease, worn off gear indicators, and really worn tires. Our tandem bike chain broke 6 km before we made it back and ended up walking it back with my daughter. A long walk after biking over 45 km prior. Shared info after leaving our bikes after hours. No 'sorry' no anything. Just thanks for bringing the bikes back. So one star mainly for poor customer relations with a problem and very poor bike maintenance. They have an ideal location on the trail. If you rent here double and triple check your bike mechanically before taking anything.

We love taking cycling tours when we visit new places and since this was not only our first visit…read moreto PEI, but the Maritimes as a whole, we really were excited to book a tour with Cynthia. We only had part of one day, but she helped us make the most of it. We were able to cycle part of the Confederation Trail as well as highlights of Charlottetown. The day was warm and we popped into a micro brewery for a sample and also finished the tour with a delicious late lunch. These are all things that can be configured, depending on time and what you'd like to do. Cynthia's tours are very customizable! My only regret is that we had such a great time talking with her that we didn't take many photos. My husband and I felt we were out riding with a friend, she gave us great tips for the rest of our visit. I highly recommend the tour and visiting this beautiful corner of Canada.

Wow - where to begin…read more The prices for these bike rentals in quaint little Kensington are atrocious. I wouldn't mind spending $25.00 to rent a bike for a few hours if the bike was actually *functional*, but that was not the case here. After about three kilometers of cycling, I started to regret the rental. The bikes themselves are from Walmart or Canadian Tire and are about 10 years old. Big, heavy, thick tires, old gears, and have had very little maintenance. From what I've noticed, they sit outside in the elements for what must be all summer. The seat shafts for the bikes are almost rusted entirely, and the chains on the bikes are just barely alive. Would not recommend.
