For the past year, I have been getting my eyelashes done by Tori. To this day, I can't imagine anyone doing a better job than her (and I have been to a few eyelash artists). She has given me nothing but flawless, gorgeous eyelashes in which I receive compliments daily from strangers complimenting her work. I recently graduated nursing school and I am on the hunt for a job, so I decided to take a break in the mean time. Today was my first time getting them removed and I was nervous about what my real eyelashes would look like....Good news...my real lashes were still there! They were only a little bit shorter, which is normal and temporary after removal. But my full set of real lashes were there, no patches missing or anything =) Just wanted to share my "removal" experience since I am sure that everyone is curious about that. I will be back for more ASAP =) Also, I just want to add...as a Registered Nurse, I am very picky when it comes to sanitation. Tori has always worked in a clean, private room and is always practicing standard precautions in order to prevent the spread of infection. I have never got an infection from my eyelash extensions for the whole year I have been getting them ( and I have had pink eye at least 5 times in my life before!). read more

I'll start by saying that Tori's technique and application are extremely good. She's very educated about lashes and applies them really well. So I really wanted to stay with her based on her talent. Unfortunately there were a couple of things that I just couldn't get past. Her studio isn't as clean and professional as I'm comfortable with. She also listens to audio books while she works, which might be okay for most people, but didn't work for me. There we're also some interruptions because she does work out of the home and scheduling was at time problematic. I do want to stress that Tori is really good at applying lashes. I just wish that her professionalism was as good as her talent for lashes. read more

It took me over a year to shop around and commit to doing eyelash extensions because they seemed too pricey and only for girls who were high maintenance (I consider myself medium maintenance :)). Plus, I had chatted with a lady also shopping at a makeup counter who had extensions before and now has sparse eyelashes (scary!). While doing a survey/comparison of people in my area, it was Tori who took the time to answer my questions and explain the process well, allaying my fears of sparse lashes, lashes falling out, etc (it has to do with application).; plus her prices were most reasonable. Tori took the time to help me decide what I wanted and made the process so simple and relaxing. She is MOBILE which makes it so convenient since I have my little girl with me all of the time. I had a hard time finding a lash stylist that didn't seem shady. You see all those groupons for $35 extensions and you have to realize that you're losing something for the price. With Tori, she is extremely professional and her slightly OCD tendencies when it comes to her work is a bonus for you. She doesn't nickel and dime you for each lash like some stylists, where you pay by lash essentially. Instead, she simply provides you with enough lashes until you're full and sumptuous, regardless if that's 50 or 75. She is very good about explaining what she is doing during your first visit and she has impeccably sanitary, ensuring her all her tools and materials are clean. This has been a long overdue review. I found her through Yelp with high review scores so I thought I'd try her out. Well, I sure am glad I did. True: she is one of the stylists that don't charge per lash. This can get expensive if you'd like to get the look that you have mascara 24-7. I have gotten OH SO MUCH compliments because of my lashes. I don't have to wear mascara anymore. I feel extra pretty. Ladies, it does make a difference. I love it so much, instead of going to the nail salon I just go to get my lashes maintained by Tori. She just asks you what kind of look you want, she does it and voila... you'd love it when you open your eyes! She makes you comfortable. I recommend her 100%. read more

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my new lashes. I hop out of bed and look like a million bucks AND love that when I go to the gym - no mascara runs or leftover makeup to deal with. Tori is an artist who really listens to what you want, what kind of lifestyle you lead, etc to be certain that the look she creates for you is unique and perfect and custom (color, length, etc) for YOU. She works quickly and throughly and though it's a tedious process applying lashes one by one, she makes you feel like your comfort and satisfaction are her #1 concern. Sure there are other places that provide this service - but not at this level - and I am convinced you end up paying more and taking risks when you go elsewhere. Her work space is immaculate, her tools 100% sanitary - the only thing contagious is her energy level and enthusiasm for her craft. Tori will work until you are happy with your beautiful new lashes. I'm not opposed to talented people performing beauty services from inside their home, however, the proper environment must be established. I was greeted by a few screaming kids, an overly excited enormous dog, and a kind, what I guess was, husband. A million red flags immediately went off in my mind. The place was not only unorganized (hey, most people are unorganized, no judgment), but it was filthy. I was led into a room where she was still working on the previous client (oh did I mention she texted me that she was running 30 minutes late?), she continued to work on the client as I stood in this room completely dumbfounded. The teeny weeny room, was in the same condition as the rest of the house, filthy and cluttered. As I was watching her use tweezers to place individual lashes on the prior client all I kept seeing from the corner of my eye was dog hair, everywhere. The dog barged into the room just in time for me to confirm there was just NO WAY this place and these tools were sanitary enough for anything, let alone anything having to do with my eyes. Nope, couldn't risk it. I fled with the quickness (although in hindsight I should've told her I was leaving, I truthfully couldn't bring myself to speak I was in such shock - not to mention she was still calmly working on her prior client, at this point 45 minutes late for my appointment). She might make your lashes look amazing, but I wouldn't and didn't risk the infection. Next time I'll go to a professional, where the place is required to be clean and the products sterile. read more

I went to Tory to get my lashes done for a few months, but after a few uncomfortable experiences I decided to switch to a salon. As other reviews have mentioned, the environment is not sanitary. One of the times I went, Tory was eating sour cream & onion pringles while breathing in my face - extremely unprofessional. It was the same scenario as the others; the screaming kids being disruptive, the huge dog jumping on the table, and the "lash room" that was small, cluttered and dirty. Tory would also stop to take phone calls and text on her phone, which bothered me. All in all, my experience was enough to make me switch to a salon, where I can get the same quality of lashes in a clean, professional, and calming environment. read more

She is super knowledeable about the process and answered all the questions I had. She made the initial process very comfortable and since then i've been hooked on these eyelashes! I have a really bad habit of not washing my face before bed, which has resulted in murder on my eye lashes. I had heard about getting extensions, but I always thought it was such a pain, not to mention expensive. I was totally wrong. Even though the process takes about 2-2.5 hours (she literally glues eyelashes on to a majority of your own individual lashes), I never felt like I was climbing the walls. Tori's chair is really comfortable, and I actually found the whole process pretty relaxing. Her prices are great too! This was my first experience with lash extensions. After seeing my cousin's lash extensions which looked gorgeous and natural, I decided to go for it and give it a try for her wedding. I contacted Tori and scheduled my appointment for her to come to my house the morning of the wedding. Tori is a professional and perfectionist. She arrived at my house on time and talked me through the whole process and did not finish until she was totally satisfied. I forget the length but I got the full set with natural curl. The results were AH-MAZ-ING!! I was able to do full eye makeup for the wedding with no problems. Now, I wake up every morning with glamorous eyes. If I wear makeup during the day, it just takes a couple of minutes and I am done. When I want more drama I use black eyeshadow as eyeliner. I've been getting my lashes done by Tori for more than a year now. she is extremely accommodating to my very busy and sporadic schedule, and she is just an overall friendly and great person to chat with. I love the fact that she pays a lot of attention to detail. She'll go over each and every lash- never rushing the process. She's willing to try styles on me all the time. What I like most, is how she doesn't charge per lash, and she'll work with you to achieve what you want with the lashes. There was a month or two where I didn't get fills: all my regular lashes was there, it's never been irritated, and even when I stopped, there wasn't any signs of abuse/problems. Tori is extremely meticulous and good at what she does! She takes the time to talk you through the process prior to eyelash application and also makes an effort to make interesting conversation with you during the application process. The end result was just what I wanted, each fake eyelash was glued to a single of my own real lashes, with none of them stuck to one another, making actually combing my eyelashes possible. I have been going to Tori for months now, don't know why I haven't shared my review with anybody. She is absolutely the Greatest....seriously I didn't realize how much of a difference I would feel or look before I saw what she could do. I had short, skinny lashes before Tori, now I can walk around for a month and feel absolutely comfortable with my lashes. I didn't know of her work until her husband Mike had stopped by one day and showed me on his phone what she was up to, I went crazy, do you mean someone can do this and I can have beautiful lashes, Yes and it is only Tori. When you get your lashes done of course you are laying down and it has become a social event for me. I have to say first that Tori is a very nice lady and I'm not writing this review to bash her personally. I do have to let people know that the environment that you get your lashes done is not professional. I'm a laid back person but even for me it was a little sketchy and probably not sanitary. Her dog jumped on the table while I was getting my lashes done, her young child kept coming in and out of the room , and overall the room was not clean. She works from home so I understand having her kids around but for me cleanliness is very important. I had a really bad reaction to the glue she used, which has happened to me several times before at other salons, so I'm not blaming her for that. But when I went to go get them removed 2 days later somewhere else, the lash lady told me the lashes were placed directly on my lid and this was not the correct way to place them. I knew I felt them poking my lids but I assumed it was normal. She's a nice woman but overall the experience was not pleasant. read more

This review is way overdue seeing as I have been coming to Tori since April(ish?). AMAZING amazing amazing. If you are considering getting eyelash extensions at all, come to Tori. Quality is more than 5 stars, and you really cannot beat the prices. Her studio in her home is cozy and comfortable, way better than sitting in an uncomfortable salon. I trust Tori and at this point I dont even have to say what I want when I go in, I just let her do her thing and they always come out impeccable. People, strangers, come up to me often complimenting my eyes and lashes. I used to glue fake eyelashes daily and am so glad I switched to extension, they not only look 20x better but are way more convienent. I had always wanted to get eyelash extensions but wasn't sure where to go- a lot of places will do them but I have heard/read some horror stories about people's experiences and wanted a referral before just going anywhere... My prayers were answered when I ran into a girlfriend of mine at a 6am yoga class- she had just gotten them done from Tori after receiving a recommendation from her hair stylist- she looked amazing (especially given it was so early and she had no makeup on) She was thrilled with the results and her experience so I called and booked an appointment right away. I'm so glad I did... I have received numerous compliments and love the fact that I get ready so much faster- I have fair skin and light eyes/lashes so I always feel like I need to wear eye makeup... Not anymore, my eye makeup routine is so much easier and I don't have to deal with "racoon eyes" mid afternoon. I just got my first "fill" and know it will be a regular part of my beauty upkeep/routine. *Word of advice, the first time takes a long time (I'm sure it varies person to person) but make sure you give yourself plenty of time or you will be stressing... Tori is a perfectionist and I'm quite confident after talking with other women that have had it done that she takes the extra time to do it right--- Also, you need to only use oil-free makeup/remover... Tori painstakingly applies one delicate lash at a time and doesn't cheat like other places that apply multiple lash clusters at a time which ultimately ruin your lashes. I found Tory after having a bad experience with another lash person. I was nervous to try again but decided to try Outlashed after reading the reviews on YELP. Having been going to her for a few months now I feel a little like another reviewer here who doesn't want the world to know about her because she is SO good...lol. The truth is that her work is exceptional! She is a total perfectionist (good for us!) and makes sure that the results are exactly what you want. She listens really well and has great suggestions for achieving the perfect look. She is a complete professional and should be teaching other lash technicians how it is done! With the last person I went to - the lashes started falling out right away - and like other people here - I got some stories that just weren't true. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my eyelash extensions. I am very very picky about my lashes so before getting them I was a little apprehensive. Now that I have them, I am so happy with them and love how they've turned out. Prior to getting them I always wondered what it would be like to have them but was too afraid to actually get them for fear of my regular lashes would fall off and never grow back. I was tired of wearing fake eyelashes when I went out and frankly, just tired of messing with curling them and putting mascara on. So, I just so happen to see a special that Tori was offering through a fitness class I was attending and decided I would try it out since I was going to be in an upcoming wedding. After having some hesitations about following through with getting them on, I just did it and am so glad I did.
