Too BIG to fail! A true half pound burger with all the Fixin's, I challenge you to fit it in your mouth without slopping it all over the table. Now, that's a burger! Stopped in this small town for a bite to eat. It's a cozy bar with bar food. The wait for food was long, there's one cook and they made one order at a time. Tender salad was good, as well as the tender basket. We ordered the boneless Buffalo bites but they gave us Buffalo wings by accident. They re-made the boneless bites and told us to just keep the wings because they'd throw it away. Wings were not so good, and boneless bites were good but a little too crunchy/over fried. read more

Stopped in as a midpoint to my bicycle ride on the Trail of the Couer D'Alenes. Mullen being the eastern end of the trail. It was lunch time. I had seen an ad for this place somewhere before. The place was clean, not very big, but just the right size given the location. I sat at the bar. They also had a few tables and a rather spacious patio. A very scant selection of beers on tap, but several indie brews. I ordered a somewhat local amber. After my 29+ mile bike ride, 1100 feet elevation gain, it sure hit the spot. I was wanting a light lunch. I still had to ride back to where I parked. They have a normal cast iron grill. The cook was cooking three burgers, including one what I am guessing was a patty melt. The size of the burgers was generous. Their fryer is an automatic enclosed appliance. While I was waiting saw an order of loaded tator tits. Damn it looked yummy. My fish arrived. It appeared dark but was delicious! The appearance was misleading. The fries looked overcooked as well but tasted great. Price was amazing. Service was top notch. I highly recommend this place. read more

This would probably be four stars in most bigger town but I will give it 5 stars because it's in Mullan, Idaho. Mullan is a cute place with alot of history but very few open businesses. They are lucky to have this business! Dining was patio only when I went in late August and patio is very cool with a nice view. No refill services or checking on me while on the patio which was a little disappointing. Burger was great as were onion rings and people were nice. I will be back. Cool building with good food in a very cool place. read more

This little nugget of gold is hidden just off I-90 in the picturesque town of Mullan. Traveling on a long weekend trip with my two best friends we randomly stopped here after missing out intended exit and decided to try the local fare. Freshly covered in a blanket of pillowy snow we parked and walked across the Central Park to the outlaw bar and grill. Upon enter were immediately warmly greeted. The atmosphere is rustic which is fitting as its a mining town. With a juke box, electric shuffle board game and darts there are plenty of activities. Oh and the burgers. Oh the burgers!!! Hands made patties of fresh beef cooked right out at the bar. The smells made us drool and ever hungrier waiting for what we ordered and the flavor once delivered more than lived up the smells. Two hands were barely big enough to hold said burger. Accompanied with a refreshing adult beverage and it was almost the perfect meal. I'd highly recommend taking a brief detour when passing through north Idaho. Forget cor de lane. Go to Mullan and eat at the outlaw!! read more

I love this bar! Best hamburgers ever. Internet juke box has almost any song you can remember. Great atmosphere to watch a game - fans of all teams seem welcome. This place is amazing! There was one person serving and cooking and she never fell behind. The food was excellent.

So I will have to say this was an excellent hamburger. I would go as far as saying it was the best place in town, but then I found out it was the only place in town. Great price, $20 for 2 excellent burgers onion rings and 2 sodas! They have beer for $2.50 and wine by the glass for $3.00. If we ever travel through again we will definitely stop in. read more

Having travelled awile it was nice to get a break in the Outlaw Bar and Grill. The facility was clean, expecially the bathrooms that appeared newly renovated. It is a small dining area and our waitress/chef seemed rather busy managing and preparing the food. We had to wait a bit for our meals but once the food arrived all four in our party were pleased with their orders. My B.L.T. was one of the freshest I have had. The atmosphere is homey, which I like and during our 60 to 90 minutes there they were consistently busy with good attitude. If in the area, I would definitely go back for more. read more
