I learned about his children, all successful. He's very proud of his family. I think he said he was 87 (don't quote me on that). He is absolutely adorable and definitely dresses very dapper. We didn't end up purchasing anything but we did find several interesting pieces of clothing, and G1 MLP. The taxidermy everywhere makes it feel like a quirky museum. They not only sell vintage goods but also new things like candy and little toys and gifts. There was a nice lady tending to customers, including us. One Star - Very Disappointing Experience…read more Unfortunately, my family and I had a very unpleasant experience at Treasure House Mall, and we will not be returning. When we first entered the store, we were warmly greeted by a sweet elderly woman who welcomed us, held my daughter's tiny dog, and even encouraged us to explore downstairs. Based on that interaction, we believed having the small dog was not an issue. Shortly after, another staff member approached us. This staff member was very heavy set Hispanic man. He so very rudely told us we had to leave immediately because of the dog. His tone was smug, dismissive, and completely unprofessional, which was especially upsetting given that we had already been welcomed moments earlier. There was no polite explanation or attempt to resolve the situation--just an abrupt demand that we leave. This incident was even more frustrating because just a few days prior, the same employee told us we only had 15 minutes to shop when there was still over an hour left before closing. At this point, the repeated negative encounters with the same individual made us feel singled out and unwelcome. As Black customers who live in Barstow and have shopped here frequently, it's incredibly disappointing to feel treated this way. Whether intentional or not, the inconsistency and hostility in how we were handled came across as discriminatory and left a very bad impression. Treasure House Mall seriously needs to address this employee's behavior. Rudeness, inconsistency, and lack of professionalism drive loyal local customers away. Sadly, our family will no longer be supporting this business.

They test all electronics before putting them on the sales floor. Their book shelves were surprisingly empty on the day of my visit. They had a bunch of different quilted Vera Wang purses that were cute and like new. They have lots of big furniture pieces, several from the 80s and 90s. Clothing has colored barbs to indicate price. When I asked questions about pricing, an associate was accommodating and helpful with her answers. We'll definitely be back.

Which happens to be the Helendale Thrift Store. Anytime I am in the neighborhood I stop by at this quaint wonderful thrift store. I am a professional thrifter who buys mass inventory. (Usually books) The owner of this thrift is a very nice gentleman who honored a previous deal that I had with one of the staff. He didn't have to but he did, which made me want to come to this thrift store anytime I am in town. I felt respected and appreciated as a customer and enjoyed the pleasant smiles and stories from the staff. Fantastic deals at a great price. Parking is never a problem as the location is very customer friendly. Come in for variety of great items and you won't be disappointed. This place is GIGANTIC! You might get lost in a clothing rack of treasure, or sit on your next new couch, nonetheless you will be walking out with something great.
