After coordinating with a local sheriff's deputy/friend/pastor of our church, we were able to make reservations for the days needed in order to attend my mother's funeral. There is plenty of space in the cottages, including stacked-washer/dryer, kitchenette, small fridge, etc. The PX is close by for small essential items, toiletries, beer, water, etc. We were the only guests in the barracks & cottages for a couple of days, so safety was never an issue. I was given very simple directions to the cottage that I had reserved. I arrived and found everything in working order. Very nice accommodations and very comfortable. I came into town to drop off my daughter to the local university (UofA at Fort Smith) and decided to stay at Ft. Chaffee because it is fairly close to the campus. I had my daughter, wife and mother with me. The 2bedroom cottage works perfectly for us for this 2 night stay. Highly recommend to anyone passing through.
