Pls BEWARE of MERIDIAN OVERHEAD GARAGE DOORS,LLC. , here in St Charles MO/St Louis MO. This company is not trustworthy. They send you technician from other state and tells you what's not written in the contract he gives you after you paid for it. The garage opener looks like it's not going to last. It opens very slow for an almost $ 800 price. I just had it March 2026 4 months later...now the remote control does not work. There is no warranty at all. What the technician told me is I have a one year warranty. Pls find a trusted garage company . My garage opener from Martin garage door lasted for 21 years without issue until the remote control stop working but the garage opener it self stays strong. What I learned today is.. Worst company ever. Do not confuse with The Genuine, The Original Overhead Door Company. I live in a new home, a screw fell out of the side of the garage door. Called OGD and agreed to the $59 service call fee. When the service tech came out, he didn't even address the real problem with the door, but insisted that the motor on the unit was the problem and that I needed a new motor and who knows what else. I knew the motor was not the issue and asked him to leave the property. They want to upsell and misdiagnose. Overhead Door Company of Oklahoma came and fixed the issue, a loose track bolt for a reasonable fee. Do yourself a favor and call The Genuine Overhead Door Company. read more

Our garage door spring broke at our newly purchase home. We didn't know if it had ever been serviced. We called in the morning and Darren was at our house that same morning. He was friendly, quick and efficient and took the time to explain everything he was going to do and why. He also answered any questions I had about maintenance to prevent future issued. We will definitely call OGD if we need any garage door work in the future. read more

Wayyyyy over priced. My motor went out in my garage door unit and I called this company and another company to come out and give me a quote. Overhead came out first and tried to sell me a $1200 garage door unit with all of the bells and whistle's which I was not interested in so the gentleman that showed me the cheapest one they offered which were still $800 which was way higher than I wanted to spend so I paid my $35 service fee and had another company come out which saved me over $300. read more

I would never recommend this company. Not only are they expensive, they made us reconstruct our garage bays ourselves, then got our order WRONG, made us wait double the time and did nothing about it. The salesman, Justin, doesn't provide updates nor respond to emails. It's absolutely the opposite way you should treat customers or run a business. I have no idea how they are still operating. Such a disappointing experience. My garage door needed to be replaced and I had OGD out to give me an estimate. The guy was nice, but left out some very important details. I could get a 5% discount if I paid in full today- but I was charged 2.5% to use my credit card. Net 2.5% discount!! This was August 2nd. After a week, I called to get an ETA on the arrival of my garage door. They could not give me an answer. I waited some more. August 18th I received a message that the projected arrival would be end of September. I texted and called to cancel the order and refund my money as I wanted to find another option to get my door installed sooner. (the next day, I called another company and had the door installed two days later) I called numerous times to speak to the "person" that I needed to talk with at OGD, they were never available. When I finally got to speak with the "person" I was told that my money was non -refundable, and I should have given them the opportunity to find the door and install it. I did give them an opportunity, on the very first visit. I was never told it would take an extended time to arrive, and then they said it was a special order. (charged me $250 for special order) No, it is the basic aluminum door. I paid the full amount of $1900.00. The manager Chris was very unprofessional when he spoke to me basically telling me I was SOL. He said that the deposit is non-refundable, but what I paid was "in full" I felt I deserved a partial refund. Payment "in full" is not a deposit. The truth of the matter is that you always know the right thing to do. The hard part is doing it. I called today (11/3/2021) and asked them to deliver the garage door that I paid for. I did not want it installed. I was told the price has gone up $500, so in order to get the door that I have already paid for in full, I will now have to pay an extra $500 to get it. Beware of this company!!!! I spoke with several garage door companies about this kind of business practice and NOT ONE had good things to say about OGD!! read more

My garage door was replaced Mar 2017 and was given a 1 yr warranty. One year and three months passed and my garage door came off track and caused the door to bend towards the top. I called to have it inspected and the person who came to look at he door said it needs to be replaced. I asked if it's just the door was advised everything will need to be replaced and it's going to cost $995.00 plus $35 for service call. I paid less than that originally. Was told price has increased 10%. If you're telling me that 3 months passed the one year and there is absolutely nothing that can be done except to charge $995 and the new door/installation doesn't last longer than 1 yr and 3 months, I would say that is not worth it. read more
