Beautiful rooftop restaurant with a sweeping view that stretches from Mt Arayat on the east to the Zambales mountain range on the west. Tables are large with comfortable chairs, and are situated around the infinity pool. It's nice and breezy up here. Staff are polite, appreciative and do a good job: they bring smaller plates to share entrees, keep water glasses full and come quickly when called (FYI there's an automatic 8% service charge added to your bill). I was impressed on how quickly they responded to my prior online inquiries on Messenger.
WE'VE TRIED:
- Melon shake was yummy, fruity and creamy with just enough sweetness.
- Iced toffee latte - they use brewed coffee as their base. It had a burnt sugar taste, like the top of a creme brûlée. I liked the balance of bitter and sweet.
- Chicken Caesar salad was ok - it was heavily coated with dressing, which I like; but others may want to order the dressing on the side instead.
- Pollo Adobo quesadilla - the tortilla tasted more like a flatbread, the "adobo" chicken was cooked chicken mixed with a little bit of tomato sauce and pico de gallo. Not authentic Tex-Mex; but it wasn't bad, especially when eaten with more pico de gallo.
- Mushroom bacon pasta - very rich sauce, mushrooms had a very strong, earthy flavor. I'm guessing they used dried mushrooms.
- Cheeseburger - greasy but flavorful, beef patty was cooked well done.
No dessert, but they have an extensive drink menu with fraps, smoothies and shakes. It always helps to ask questions: I found out that their melon shake has both fresh fruit and milk, the other smoothie/shakes have only one or the other.
Overlook is a nice place to escape the busy streets of Angeles City. Come and relax, have a nice meal, and enjoy the beautiful setting.
TIP - Face mask and face shield required for entrance. The guard checks your temp and has you sign in. Take the elevator to the top (press "D" for roofdeck) read more
