Duy is a great instructor, knowledgeable, patient and thorough. I attend the class now 2-3 times per week and have learned so much. From the proper form for punching, disarming a gunman, getting out of a choke hold, even knife fighting more recently, Duy has helped me every step of the way. It helped my confidence and gives me the peace of mind that I could hold my own out in the real world if a situation ever came up when I needed to defend myself. Also the classes are not really categorical: the beginner class has a lot of advanced people. It might be intimidating if you are brand new. I do like how it gives you a feeling of power. Just a PSA though: some of the instructors and students are not vaccinated against COVID and talk about it openly. If you are COVID adverse wear a mask. I am adverse to it and found out later on. I wear a mask and often classes are outside.
