I don't always feel it 'right' to put feedback on public forums such as Facebook and TripAdvisor etc as sometimes you may be having a 'bad night' and one night does not reflect how things normally are. Last night myself, my partner and two friends dined at the Leichhardt restaurant. We have been coming here for years and love the place. However last night was really disappointing. We had food just come past us all night and when things finally got to us, it was the dry end bits and pieces that were left. We had missed out on things completely like a lot of the beef, squid, garlic bread and chicken thighs. The food that we did get was dried up and awful. We just basically ended up eating sides. It was a really disappointing experience last night as we were all looking forward to it and starved ourselves before hand. I am not sure what happened as normally we have a wonderful experience but last night was not one of them. We live in the eastern suburbs and there are other places we could have went to, but chose Braza and Leichhardt as it is normally really good.

You can't sit right by the outside if you are going to eat, because those tables are tall and narrow and designed for drinking. But you can get close enough. Servers come around with meat. It's not a stop-go traffic light system like I've been used to before: they come by and actually ask you. You need to be ready with tongs to grab the meat as they slice it off. Sometimes things come pre-sliced, like the fish. That's a bit disappointing but it's still delicious. There are like 6 kinds of beef, but all the non-beef stuff was better. That dial was the best part of the meal. It gave us a chance to ask for some shrimp or something. Nope. No shrimp, just fried calamari. When we complained about the quality of the beef we were being served, they offered us better trimmings of the same crap. My first meal in Sydney! It was an utter disaster. Did they offer any discount? Nope. This place sucks. They got their money, now they get their review. I can always eat later.

I had this roast potato and chorizo salad, and second choice is mixed beans with lemon and chilli. On protein side I choose margarita chicken and southern spiced beef. Everything on the plate looks fresh, tasty and appealing. Have also sauces to come with your meal, chimichurri, Harissa and herbs and chili mayonnaise. I choose Harissa for my chicken for my meal. If you want to have extra sauce, it will cost you $1 extra, and I had chimichurri for my beef. Really good value meal!
