Came here to play pickle ball last week and had a great time. They have two courts and lights on the courts which is a huge plus! The bathroom is pretty clean as well. This week though 4/2/26 , they didn't have lights on the court cause some crackhead took out the copper wires. When it gets fixed I'd love to come back to play pickle ball again. Finally took the time to visit this place and of course I opted just after some heavy rains. Really awesome course and excited to visit another place that is very comparable to Reichmuth's disc golf course. No shade to that course but it is nice to find a true 18 hole golf course. Similar to Reichmuth this course has more technical shots and multiple pin positions that at time it can be a bit confusing but there is a decent amount of signage and of course the udisc app as helpful. I wouldn't really consider this course for beginners and definitely is a lot better to go with a friend or to as a spotter is nice to have for some shots. There are a number of hills and water ways that play a role here and what's nice is that although there are a lot of water obstacles, there isn't a worry of a deep dank creek to lose my disc in. Most of the water ways are relatively clear and there isn't a lot of heavy brush to lose a disc compared to other courses in the area. One thing I notice is that toward the back of the course near the later holes, it is EXTREMELY muddy. Nothing bad about this but I think its important to keep in mind and maybe skip the slippers, crocs, and white sneakers haha. There is a lot a shop on sight that I didn't visit myself but have heard lots of great things about. The crowd here seems pretty chill and we didn't have any issues but be forewarned I did visit this place on a Monday, so the weekend crowd could be quite different. Don't forget to visit this place or make it one of the top places to check out if you love disc golf! read more

I have been lost my whole childhood. Because I never knew this course was 5 minutes from my house, and I could've been a child prodigy. But alas, I'm an awkward adult with no sense of my arm position when I'm attempting to send my disc off and away. I guess I'll be working on that on the 2-3 practice baskets near the shop and first tee. My SO bought me my first set of discs taught me to throw on a humid, flat, palm-tree infested South Florida course. Complete with swamps. This course, in comparison, is a dream. With slight hills to challenge your height of release (or my lack thereof), curves and branches to bring out your flick (or my lack thereof), and rivers of mud to straight tomahawk your brand new discs into (oh yeah), I loved this course. It has 18 holes that we broke up into 2 days of fun - the rain really drives away the crowds, and we happily played through without fear of holding up the parties behind us. Because there was not a single day we came where this park wasn't filled with regulars, not even at 8am. The dedication is real. Final 9, the organization behind this park and another in Rocklin, has a shop onsite. As we didn't have any gear, we had a grand old time picking out drivers, midranges, and putters from the dozens of options. There are handy charts and seasoned DG'ers who can help you out, or you can just pick pretty colors that match their adorable names. My new putter is a mint green Whale. Bonus: you can rent a mid-range from the gentleman behind the desk for $2 and a form of ID for collateral. It's less fun that way though, because you don't get the fear of saying goodbye to your muddy Archangel as he flies towards traffic on a particularly bad toss. There are plenty of benches at every teepad, and the tee map is well taken care of. It's clear that the community out here is more dedicated to their sport than we're used to, and I'm a little in love. They even host competitions on this course, if I read the flyer right! I'm going to practice some more first, though. read more

This is a really nice 18 course. Plenty of trees and a little water. The grass is mostly gone, likely a result of drought considerations. It was a really warm day but there ample spots to get out the direct sun. It was fairly crowded but all were courteous it was a great round. I like that they have multiple basket placements at every hole and some of the holes are exceptionally long. More that a few you can't even see the basket at your first throw from the concrete tees. It's certainly a great place to test yourself with multiple releases and switching up your disc. It's been quite a while since I have used all 8 discs I carry. This used them all and left me wishing I had at least a few more. Certainly a place I intend to return to soon. read more

I like it. Nice and shady during the summer. Lots of obstacles of trees and streams. Very few straight shots, so work on those trick throws. People here are usually pretty friendly. I've had people let me play through or join their group often. Never met an unfriendly person here. I've also been getting some tips on how to improve my game. It's getting better little by little. The place is pretty clean, but very little grass, mostly dirt. read more

The best and most challenging course in Sacramento! I've been playing for 5 years off and on and this course still throws me off... a lot of trees and technicality this course holds professional tournaments annually. Multiple pin positions and benches near all tee pads. Can get crowded though I do not recommend for beginners! Fly on suckas! read more

The park here is very trail-like. No grass, just trees, plants, and other features that one might expect if they were walking along the American River. Not a bad thing, in my opinion. It much less boring this way. A straight course with no obstacles would make for a very boring Saturday. The people that frequent here are mostly pleasant and courteous. There have been instances of the young and the rude, but it's like that anywhere (even on a real golf course). It's mostly well-kept with the occasional stray garbage, but its hard to tell if it blew over from the school or park. For frisbee golf, there aren't many options in the area so it's nice to have this in the area. read more

Tried this Disc Course out for the first time a couple week's ago with my Husband. We stopped in the store first purchased a couple new treasures. We are fairly new to Disc and had some questions, which I'm sure could get annoying niether one showed it friendly & helpful! They also have a practice / putting basket right by the shop. Great park lots of fun to be had. The walkways are great and there's always a good crowd. Parking lot is very small and there is no parking on the street or the surrounding neighborhood you will get towed. Bathrooms need to be remodeled but the new picnic area is awesome. Tennis courts are great. Parks and Recreation keep this park up pretty well. There has been a lot of vandalism lately and they respond to it pretty quickly. However it sucks that you can still see a lot of the spray paint on the sidewalks where they can't take it all off, hope these losers stop! read more

Fun stuff! Love playing this course. It is ALWAYS crowded. As in, like 10 AM on a Monday, the parking lot is nearly full crowded. Which actually isn't saying much cause the lot is actually pretty small. But 18 holes generally takes around 2.5 hours due to waiting etc. Recommend getting there as early as possible to get a parking spot. Lots of trees and challenging holes makes this a great place to get your disc golf on. read more

Since moving to Citrus height's from Nevada County, I was surprised to see such a nice course in the city. I have been playing here about three to four times a week, the short hole settings range from beginner to amateur, long holes are amateur to pro. There are a lot of good pistol shots like hole 3 and and 14 as well as plenty of hyzer drives, like 5, 15 and 18. Holes I had problems with are limited to 5 (pain in the ass if you have a short or inaccurate drives). They just installed a pyramid hole on 2 which is challenging in a great way. They have a pro shop near the parking lot with a great staff that is always willing to share their advice. The golfers i encounter there are almost always cool and most will let you play through with them. Be prepared for a back up at hole 4-5 mainly due to the distance of 5 and the percentage of lost disc's on this hole. Creek runs through winter and spring, pretty dry through summer. Trees are the main obstacle on this course. read more

Sure the course is technical and kept up pretty well but the amount of people drinking, smoking and playing bag tag is kind of ridiculous. When you get here on the weekend at 7:30 in the morning the parking lot is usually already full and people are drinking beer and smoking weed. Then there's the groups of 15-20 people playing. Easily could make it better for other players if they had the courtesy to keep the groups to 4-6 players. Playing through is fine but then you end up just getting stuck behind another group. The one saving grace in my eyes is the putting course to the right of tee 1. If only people weren't smoking right next to that basket though. Of course, weed is legal and so is beer but not for use in public and especially not in a park. The biggest thing is that there are kids that play this course and are exposed to this while the "shady" people of shady oaks feel the need to keep up a misrepresentation of the sport. Might get backlash about reviewing the course like this but many people have the same complaints. As much as I wish the people didn't affect the course, they do. The littering of beer cans is really annoying, there are trash cans on nearly every single tee, yet I find beer cans on the fairway all the time. Not mad at the course, just disappointed that people feel the need to disrespect something that gives back to the community. read more
