While maintaining a focus on physical activity and skill in taekwondo, the focus on values including respect, responsibility, and perseverance go far beyond just what is written on their walls. The staff work with the parents and families as a team to reinforce positive behavior and good character not just within their facility, but also at school and at home. There is a constant narrative of commitment to self improvement and to invest into helping to better our surrounding community as well. One of our children has had some trying behavior and over the past two years the staff has poured their effort into support and structure to help us guide him the right way. So much so, i enrolled my youngest who's 3 years old. Master Kim knows all of his students by names, he encourages and inspires his students. The kids have the utmost respect for him and it's well deserved. Instructor TJ is also amazing, he has a special type of patience, he takes his time to teach and guide students he as well knows every student by name. This school is not your modern TKD school in the sense that Grand Master Kim is old school. This school is very structured.

All age groups and belt levels are mixed together, which results in four year olds unable to follow the instructions and running wildly in between the older kids and adults. Any particular belt level will sit it out for half the class while a different level practices. Not sure how other martial arts schools structure their classes, but there has to be a better way. In some classes, there are five or six new students, so Master Pete focuses solely on these students throughout the class, even though they will most likely never be seen again. I understand that every student brings in revenue, but the established students won't stick around if these practices continue.
