I returned to the office to discuss my options and was provided with a single Essix retainer. When that retainer eventually broke, I reached out by email hoping to obtain a replacement. I was told there wasn't much they could do to help me, which was disappointing since I wanted to maintain the results of my treatment. Unfortunately, my teeth continued to shift to the point that I ultimately had to start a completely new treatment (Invisalign) in 2024, which I completed in 2026. This meant additional time, expense, and inconvenience years after my original orthodontic treatment.
