The only downside is the internet. We couldn't get it to connect to the TVs in the camper at all and had to use our hotspot. Our hotspot only lasted a night, so if we had stayed longer, I'm not sure what we would have done. Not the end of the world, but definitely a challenge with two kids. We're staying for a full week over the summer, so we'll figure something out!

I certainly understand a penalty for canceling but full charge seemed heartless under our circumstances. Yes, they are a business and must make money but life happens and a little understanding would have gone a long way. My advice is don't plan ahead, if they have your credit card they will charge it all upfront and you won't get a dime back.

It's also located right on a very busy street. You have to pull into some of the spots right off of the main street. It's so loud at night. The check in process is terrible. We got there and there was no one around. We tried to find an office and couldn't find one. I called the number and they said they emailed me (they did not). They gave us our space number and said they would text the WiFi and lock info on the electric. They didn't do that either - I had to call again. It's crowded and just not a nice park at all. I would not recommend staying here.

If you have questions or needs they try to help all that they can. We had a spot that has a water issue and they attended to us immediately and gave us a different spot and checked to make sure we were good to go. Yes there is interstate noise but by about 9pm it's not noticeable and didn't keep us or our fur kids awake. Yes, there is a few businesses across the street. One makes some noise on the weekdays during business hrs. Nothing to be uptight about. We have loved the dog park. Great way to get some of the puppy energy ran out. They have bags for easy clean up. They have a small inventory of quick foods you can cook. Propane on site. Now these are Full Hook up sites but if you're on your way out you can stop at the dump station. Lighten up your load. There are a few areas to entertain the young ones and older ones alike. There are fire pits to rent they only ask that you NOT put it on the grass only the gravel. Why burn up the grass?!! There is a pavilion that is open 24/7 that has a full sized stove and tables with chairs. Oh and the table tennis table. They have a pool that closes mid September. The grounds are kept nice and clean and the bathrooms have showers. The laundry room is clean and awesome. The pool was dirty for the entire duration of our visit, and the area around the pool frequently smelled like garbage, which made it unpleasant to use. The atmosphere was not particularly welcoming, as many of the people we encountered seemed unfriendly. One of the biggest issues was that our site's too close to our neighbor's dump connection. There's about 3' between their dump and our RV. The dump covers were cracked, allowing sewage odors to escape. The smell was noticeable until we covered the area ourselves. We were also told to move our second vehicle because someone complained, despite seeing many other campers with multiple vehicles parked on their sites, including some parked on the grass. The inconsistent enforcement of the rules was frustrating. Overall, we expected a cleaner, more welcoming environment and more consistent management of campground policies.

The sites are slightly close, but with a lot of green space. The people next to us had several tents set up and one was even placed in our site... some people just don't know proper campground manners and this isn't the first time I'd experienced that. I can't speak on the rates or the booking process, it wasn't my turn for that task. I do know that he booked it through the recreation.gov After check in, there is a sharp left turn into the row of sites. If you're rig is big, don't risk it, just go straight and enter into the site area from the back. Several sites are water front, but not really accessible to the water. The body of water isn't the lake though, it's more of the channel from the dam to Barren River Lake. The boat ramp about midway in the campground, is a great fishing spot, if the dam isn't open. Catfish are the scores, but not when we were there, while there was too much water current from the open dam. It's in the western region of Kentucky, about two and a half hours from Lexington, so I don't recommend it for a short trip from here. Glasgow is the closest larger city and that was about twenty minutes away. If you're a BBQ restaurant lover, Glasgow is your place. We passed so many, I lost count.

Not a horrible RV park but not the best I have been to either…read more Really, really, really confined park with small parking spots. Not a lot of traffic in and out which is nice but can hear highway noise and there is a large church right beside the park that allows eighteen wheelers to park there for an extended amount of time and sometimes you can hear them pull in and out which can be annoying at the early hours of the morning. The staff can be friendly at times but other times seems as if they could care less what your concerns are. When it was in the below freezing temps like it has been for the past two weeks the water pipe that supplies water to our trailer froze and we were without water for a whole 24 hours. We had to use the bath house at the park which was clean and well kept. I probably watch to many crime shows so I was afraid someone was gonna come in and murder me; but that is on me not the park. Just an overall quiet park since I have been here and the cheapest we found to stay at.
