The gate attendant and self proclaimed guy who "runs this place" came screaming up to our camping…read morespot on a golf cart, ranting and screaming asking if I "was in a hurry." I had just returned from a grocery run. I assured him that actually I was since we were packing out and moving to a different campground a day early. He insisted that I was driving above the 10 mph speed limit even though my Life360 app clocked me anywhere from 3 to 10 mph once I entered the campground. He continued to yell so I finally closed my truck door because it was too much. My husband came over and he tried to "tattle" to him and he told him I didn't stop at the stop sign on the way in. That was not entirely true. I actually saw it late and stopped just beyond it because I missed seeing it due to its placement. He peeled out on his golf cart after not being able to tell me how fast I was going. I asked him a few times and my husband asked how fast I was going and he kept screaming, "that's beside the point!" So - I had told him that unless he had a radar detector he really didn't know my speed. He must have called the park ranger, who was very kind and I explained that I was not speeding, and we had a nice conversation. I told him how incredibly rude and hateful the "person in charge," is. We continued to pack up and the sheriff drove by for the first time in our stay which I doubt was a coincidence. He didn't speak to us or stop, but the boomer in charge was giving him an earful as we were leaving. Also, the spot we were in was nearly impossible to back into because it was so narrow and there were huge drop offs on the road where you couldn't properly maneuver to back in. I am told that you can't leave an honest review on Recreation.gov because they are monitored to buy the people in charge. I will attempt to leave one once I am able, but there is a reason why this campground is rated the lowest in the area. I guarantee you it's because of the "people in charge."

Rudest Customer Service We Have Ever Experienced at a KOA…read more We have been KOA members for many years and have stayed at the Nashville KOA almost every year while traveling to the World Championship Horse Show in Louisville. In fact, we had just stayed here 11 days ago for three nights and had a great experience, which makes what happened today even more disappointing. We had been dry camping at the Kentucky State Fairgrounds for 11 days and were stopping in Nashville again on our way home. I had already booked and paid for a premium site for today, fully understanding that normal check-in is at 3:00 PM. We arrived around 10:00 AM, and I simply went inside to ASK whether early check-in might be available. I was immediately met with attitude and told there was absolutely no early check-in. I explained that I had no problem paying an early check-in fee. I was then told that our site was still occupied. That seemed odd considering there were clearly numerous premium sites sitting empty when we drove into the campground. Rather than checking to see whether another site might be available or offering any type of solution, I was told we needed to leave and come back at noon. During the entire conversation, another older woman working there repeatedly inserted herself into the discussion, saying the same thing over and over. At no point did anyone seem interested in actually helping us. Since we had a large rig and had already been traveling, I finally said that if early check-in was impossible, I would simply PAY FOR AN ADDITIONAL NIGHT so we could get into a site. They proceeded to book the additional night at approximately $142 because of the higher Saturday-to-Sunday rate. Then another woman in a KOA shirt appeared and told me they were going to CANCEL OUR ENTIRE RESERVATION and that we should NEVER COME BACK. That was unbelievable. For the record, I never raised my voice. I was frustrated, but I was trying to find a reasonable solution and was literally offering to PAY MORE MONEY to stay there. Instead, I found myself being talked over by three older female employees who seemed far more interested in escalating the situation than helping a longtime KOA customer. If these were work campers representing KOA, they desperately need customer service training. We have traveled extensively and stayed at many KOAs over the years. We have also stayed at this particular campground repeatedly, including just 11 days ago, without an issue. But after the way we were treated today, we will NEVER stay at the Nashville KOA again. There are plenty of campgrounds that appreciate returning customers. Unfortunately, based on today's experience, this is no longer one of them

We stayed in site #18 and enjoyed ourselves very much. Our site wasn't next to the water because all of the water sites were booked, but every campsite looked really cool, with: a large round cement table with cement seats, a firepit, an outdoor grill, and a flat space for tent camping. The older gentleman camping nextdoor in the campsite next to us came over and gave us: wood, charcoal, and water bottles, because he said he was leaving the next day on his motorcycle and couldn't carry it all. He was very kind to us. Overall, great experience! Can't wait to return to Anderson Road Campground in the future when visiting Nashville, Tennessee!

Beach area person was rude, doesn't have good customer service.
