My wife and I were looking forward to visit the park but we had an unexpected personal tragedy and had to cancel.It happened 4 days prior so I called to explain and they ABSOLUTELY DID NOT CARE and charged us the full price of $534. I certainly understand a penalty for canceling but full charge seemed heartless under our circumstances. Yes, they are a business and must make money but life happens and a little understanding would have gone a long way. My advice is don't plan ahead, if they have your credit card they will charge it all upfront and you won't get a dime back. read more

We camped here for one night while visiting my cousin who is living here long term while house hunting. Very nice RV park with a mix of over night and long term renters. Tight but manageable spaces, friendly campers and very pristine grounds and facilities. It's right on a pretty lake in town but you feel like you are in the country. This is a fabulous RV resort right on the lake with a swimming pool and lake access in a high security gated area. The pads are cement. The only disappointment was that the sewer connections are a little bit far from the vehicle. We have a large motorhome and didn't really need to hook up for the evening, so it wasn't an inconvenience for us. You need to unhook your Jeep or tow car before you enter the area and park your vehicle they only had backup spaces. We would however, come back again because it's a beautiful place. read more

Note: if you have a large 5th wheel or MH, be very careful which spot you select to stay in. We were in the 100s at the top of a very steep hill (not shown on the park map). We could barely get our 40 footer in the spot. And, we watched a fifth wheel possibly break out his rear truck window trying to make the corner. It is a nice, clean campground on the lake (with live music on Saturday night) but very expensive so be prepared to pay for a site you can fit in (and call to confirm - they all look the same online!) read more

Elm Hill RV Resort - You can somewhat see the hill but you can't see the tight corner - RV Parks Near Me - Nashville, Tennessee

When originally booking online, we selected Site 115 and our friends selected Site 116. We did not know and it was not disclosed that Sites 109-126 on top of hill are difficult and somewhat dangerous to access with large rigs. The reason for this is there is a sharp and steep turn from the main entrance road to access these sites. We were a 45ft class A and the rear of the coach did scrape going up the hill. We had the option of checking out this access and area prior to driving rig up the hill and opted to give it a try. I would not do this again. Before booking these sites and traveling in a big rig with low clearance at rear, I would chose another location within the resort. Likely by raising the air suspension on our rig which I did saved us. The resort overall is a beautiful location with some nice sites at the end of peninsula. The resort overall feels tightly spaced and can be challenging to navigate at times during heavy occupancy due to so many vehicles parked everywhere on sites. We liked the location and enjoyed the lake. Staff were friendly. Nice pool but the dog park was not well maintained. Would return only if we could book a few certain sites. read more

We stayed here for a week when I had to spend time in Nashville for a medical issue. They had excellent procedures in place regarding COVID; for example we kept the pen used for check-in & the person at check-in was in the office while we stood outside with plexiglass in between. The sites are all concrete pads with nice fire pits & they all have beautiful views of the reservoir. The entire area is well cared for & very clean. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again. read more

I would have given this place a 5 but because our experience was not pleasant it's a 3. We were excited to stay here and originally booked on line months. Not to get in the weeds but registration personnel were nice but they placed us in the wrong space. Whatever you do, do not ask to use space 116. If you are assigned that space have them change it. We have a 40ft and the spot is not angled the same as the rest on the row so there is no view. We paid premium price to have a view and they gave us the wrong spot for a week! The rigs on both sides blocked the view of the beautiful lake. It is a beautiful resort for sure. We may try Nashville KOA. read more

The reservation is not until October, so this is not a last-minute cancellation. Elm Hill / Safe Harbor will not return phone calls, emails, or text messages to confirm our cancellation, complete ignore. This place is not cheap at $117.50 per night!!! So, do yourself a favor and find another place to stay in the area if Elm Hill Safe Harbor RV Resort conducts itself like this, who knows what can happen once you are inside the park! I have an upcoming business trip to Nashville. I wonder what they are going to do when I show up in the office looking to have them credit my deposit back..... read more

What a beautiful RV park. My family and I visited from phoenix. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They have daily trash pick up if needed. The site we had on the peninsula was spacious and well kept. It was just a short walk to the water where you can fish and enjoy the view. The RV park was pretty close to Nashville attractions and dining. For an overnight or extended stay Elm hill has a spot for you. read more

A beautiful RV park. The view was breathtaking. However, I feel obligated to report to anyone looking to stay here that the greeter that you must check in with does not where a mask. She talks very loud directly into the vehicle with no mask on in the middle of a pandemic. It's selfish and potentially deadly behavior. My father recently passed away from the coronavirus so I have zero tolerance. Anyone interacting with the public as much as this person does needs to wear a mask. Period. read more

We stumbled across this gem of a RV resort by accident--it was the closest to Franklin where we were visiting family. We really enjoyed the amazing views of the lake, the fairly quiet family atmosphere, and how clean and fresh everything felt. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was more conscious of this due to fancier setting.. lol Lots of retiree types and very quiet which was nice Lots of rules but reasonable and actually save for kids to ride bikes except for one person who was clearly going past 10mph Could not find gate number to get into pool, may have been the same as to get into park but it would be great if they could clarify. Note: we visited Elm Hill for day use picnic spot during a short vacation to Nashville and were so happy we did... beautiful, relaxing spot on the lake with plenty of shade in hot weather. We drove our car (15 minutes from our Airbnb -so close!) and paid $8.00 entrance fee. Parked where an attendant noted was for those without boat trailers. Walked maybe 5 minutes and found a spot in the shade right on the water. There were plenty of open picnic tables 30 feet from the water, but we brought our own chairs so we sat right by the water. You'll need to pack in your own food and drink. We debated giving this place a 4 or 5 as we would have loved a sandy beach, but we decided that the geography shouldn't pull the rating down. Be careful wading into the water as the large rocks can be slippery. read more

Wow! This is a really nice RV resort! This resort has nice waterfront sites for RVs. They have all the hook ups...water, tv, internet, electric.....etc. It's a great place for kids to ride bikes and have fun on the water. The staff is awesome and extremely helpful. They helped us with everything even in the rain! Big thank you to the Security team for helping us in the pouring down rain! There were quite a few RVs staying at the resort.....I'd say 100 or more. Last year was our first time here. It was still called safe harbor rv resort, we loved it and decided to book a month summer 2021. It's day5 & we are getting told we have 3 hours to leave. But, why? 2 nights ago we sent our daughters to the shower house. There is a main door that needs a code to access once in that door it leads to 2 shower rooms. My youngest daughter "11" opened the door & noticed a man across the way waving at her she continued to look at him & he began waving his arms back & forth in a childish manner then began walking towards her.This scared her so she quickly tried to shut the door and he began running towards her and grabbed the door handle she managed to shut the door. He began banging on the door. she got her sister from the other bathroom. My husband was already on the way to meet them to walk them back when my daughter called me terrified. When my daughter told me the story she described a guy that wasn't old or young, he was wearing a baseball cap, shirt with writing, khaki shorts , and the main thing, the sound of his sandals flopping. We were concerned but couldn't believe that something like that would happen. We contacted the office gave them a description of the man and the incident that occurred. We told them that we planned to send our girls to the shower at the same time as the night before but this time their dad would be discretely waiting. My girls left our camper and began walking to the shower my husband rode an electric scooter an alternate route to the same place. Per my daughter, when they got there the same man walked up behind them, he walked to the men's side and did not attempt to go in, as there was no noise of him entering a code. My girls locked themselves in the girls bathroom. My husband approached the man at the door of the men's restroom and began staring at the man. The man looked at my husband and said can I help you and he said no. The man began trying to push in numbers to get into the bathroom but clearly did not know the code & told my husband to go ahead my husband said no I don't have to use the bathroom. My husband confronted him about the previous days situation and he denied them. The man left & began walking back to his camper. I was sitting at our camper waiting to hear from my family when I heard a man in these loud flip-flopping sandals going down the path, I immediately knew it was the man that my daughter had described the night before. I called my husband and said I think I just saw the guy that our daughter described. My husband told me yes I think I just confronted him as well. When I got to the shower my youngest was shaking terrified because she heard his sandals. The man comes back with his wife and he acted very childish waving his hands at us acting very immature he decided to call the police which was great because we would've liked a report anyways. The police came took our statement took his statement. We thought it was over and had this RVs resorts full support until today at 5:30 PM they call us to tell us that since there was a police report filed and the other party is the one that called the police that we needed to be out tonight by 8 PM. The main maintenance man here Greg (w/smell of alcohol & weed on his breath) told us that we stirred up a bunch of unnecessary shit. Those were his exact words when referring to my daughter being terrified of a grown man banging on the girls bathroom door trying to get in. I don't know if it's new management or what but this place is a serious waste of time and money. They support and protect child molesting campers and they throw out the families that are trying to build memorable times with each other while keeping their family safe. The so-called owner stated we should have been better parents by not letting them go to the restroom by themselves. Keep in mind my other daughter is 14. Please don't let your kids stay here they are not safe or protected by the gate it gives you a false sense of security because no one has your back. I See why the name changed! read more

Our first stop on our cross country trip in our 1977 Travel Trailer. We arrived late and picked up our welcome packet that had been left at the office . We later learned from our welcome packet that trailers older than ten years would be subject to inspection. The management seemed okay with our 42 year old camper, and we were grateful. The place is quiet, pet friendly and we had a pleasant 2 night stay in the cove. It was nice to ride bikes and play shuffleboard. The lake is lovely. read more

They collect a 50% upfront deposit which is a bit steep. The developers of the property crammed as many sites onto the property as possible resulting in very tight turns in navigating the park with big rigs and sites which are much to close together for my comfort. In addition, it is heavily populated with "seasonal" campers so lots of diesel pickups departing at 5-6am in the morning, a majority of the sites are taken up by long term renters. No Internet and cable TV didn't work on my site. Neighbor said his cable didn't work either. The guy who is supposed to be the manager just gave one excuse after another. Had to clean the fire pit before we could use it. The next day, walking our dogs I noticed other fire pits also had trash and debris in them. We also noticed the trash can across from our space was overflowed when we arrived and it wasn't dumped for the first two days. My wife said the laundry and the bathrooms were dirty. Just general lack of service......especially for being over priced like they are. The owners/management seems to not have thier act together. I think this place has a long way to go before it can be a true "RESORT". Expected more for what I paid. I suggest your hard-earned money be spent elsewhere like Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in Nashville. read more

We had a terrific 3 day stay in Nashville, a lot of that experience was due to the Safe Harbor RV resort. It's located on Percy Priest Lake & most sites are directly above the lake. Not only are the views great, there are some lake breezes which help with the July heat/humidity. The sites are all paved so leveling isn't a problem. There is a grassy area and stone fire pit at every site. Amenities include swim beach, swimming pool, laundry room, trash pickup every morning, and ice delivery. After seeing where 3 other RV parks are located right off a major highway, we were glad we discovered the Safe Harbor. read more

I've been to a lot of campgrounds all over the country and this one is by far one of my favorites! Beautiful campground right on the lake with great views. Clean facilities bathrooms, bathhouse, laundry, pool and the park as a whole. The resort even has a boat ramp and dock. One of the biggest perks is that it's only 10 minutes from downtown Nashville, cheap Uber ride. The staff are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. In my opinion it's by far the best RV park in Nashville, hands down. read more

just now Nice place to camp. Sad that long term is offered because it limits short term rentals spots. You can no longer take your trailer or boat to your camp site because the "space is limited" but they don't have a problem with cars or trucks parked along the road, which limits the remaining space as well. We've camped here the first two years they were opened and never had a problem maneuvering our trailer or boat nor parking them. I feel they need to physically see what a person is bringing with them when they check in. We told the lady we had a golf cart with us but she didn't process they fact that the cart was on a trailer. It wasn't until after we got past the gate that she ran me down yelling "You can't take that back there!" Long story short, I was left high and dry and hubs was left to back the camper into our spot by himself. She gave BS excuses which I called her on and she just basically said "That's the rules." Then next day someone brings their boat back to their site. So not right! They do have places for you to park your trailer or boat and yes, there are cameras but that's not going to stop someone from breaking in in the middle of the night. read more

Located on beautiful Percy Preist Lake in suburban (you would never know it) Nashville, Safe Harbor is exactly that. What a wonderful spot to vacation during a pandemic. It is located on a long peninsula surrounded by water. We paid up for a deluxe waterfront site, but really, every site has a water view. We arrived after dark, but we received a phone call earlier in the day from the resort providing all the information we needed to check in. We picked up all our papers and our gate code just as was explained at the front office. Our site had a level, concrete pad, and backed up to a grassy slope down to the lake. Fire wood was available for delivery or pickup. Each site has a well-maintained fire pit. We rented a golf cart for the day for $20, and tooled around for fun. A large pool and playground are centrally located. We did not use the public showers or laundry, but the buildings appear new and well-maintained. There is also a large marina very close with boat rental and a restaurant. The lake is busy but lovely. Spouse bought a 3 day fishing license and fished steps from our RV. Everyone we met, staff, and guests, were friendly. The resort is immaculate. read more

This review is not so much for the rv resort itself but instead for the people who run it, primarily Jerome. They have two gated entrances, one for the rv Park, and one for a "public area". The said public area has a fee of 8 dollars. For quite some time I have visited this public area, always paying for the service it offers. There is great hiking from there, and many times I have hiked out to camp on the point on the lake, probably close to a miles hike. Unfortunately that hike is littered with lots of trash from teenagers in the summer time, but I always bring back more trash than I take in, trying to help do my part at making this beautiful place what it should be. (Even though I pay $8 quite often which I would expect helps pay a groundskeeper) Today has been rainy, and around 1pm I was stretched out in my car reading on my phone and overlooking the lake, when someone came to my door. I opened it and they said I had to leave. I tried to talk to them, informing of how I always pay and have frequented this spot for years, literally giving hundreds of dollars to them (Still to see no result in cleanliness). I went to the office to talk to someone named Jerome. He had nothing to say besides I can't go back there. Just yesterday I had a nice conversation with two police officers about being there, and they didn't say anything of this sort. This is somewhere I take my family to enjoy nature when we are in Nashville, which is very often. Now we can't go back because they didn't like me being in my car at 1pm even though I paid to be there, in a public place. The point is, they don't care about the trash littered all over, and they don't care about you, just the business. read more
