this restaurant is totally worth the hype! i searched places to eat on instagram while on vacation in chattanooga and this restaurant looked incredible and had great reviews from local foodies/content creators. i especially wanted to try it out because of the homemade hand pulled noodles, and getting to WATCH them make the noodles through the window. overall great experience and something i don't get back home. it is a must try!! to start the service was impeccable. we didn't have just one server, multiple servers stopped by to attend our table and every single one was friendly and exceeded the customer service standard. it was very busy, a packed house, and they still were amazing and it didn't take long at all to get the food. the space was very inviting and welcoming for sure. the food was incredible. coming from out of state i wanted to try as much as possible. we got the soup dumplings and pan fried potstickers. they were SO FREAKING GOOD. i got the beef noodle soup with regular noodles, and my daughter got the chicken soup with regular noodles. the broth was so flavorful and the noodles were absolute perfection. the herbs in the broth made it even better. my other daughter got the fried rice and it was the best fried rice i've eaten at a restaurant. i've stopped ordering fried rice in restaurants because i can make it better at home, but this just topped everything. my bf got the chicken stir fry with medium wide noodles and it was also the best stir fry dish ive ever had. just looking at it you could see it was full of flavor and spice. i almost wish i ordered the same thing or at least ordered some more to-go because of how good it was. whether you live in the area or are visiting, this is a must try. i would go back in a heartbeat. thank you for the great restaurant experience read more

So amazing and worth the 1.5 hour drive from Knoxville to try superbly authentic hand-pulled noodles. The beef noodle soup is reminiscent of Vietnamese pho. Broth was very clean and tasty. Not overly fatty. The stir fry had great wok hei and was a great smokey cumin flavor. The staff were great and explained all the options. I was skeptical I would enjoy OX2 Buns & Noodles but my boyfriend saw the viral YouTube review from Brennen Taylor and insisted we go. The restaurant is in a strip-mall and seems to be thriving. People are in and out continuously. Our waiter Jason was the server on the YouTube video which has made him somewhat a celebrity! Catch their IG ox2buns_and_noodles and you'll catch the Jason Show! We picked out a few things that Jason helped recommend (still not sure what I ate) but it was delicious! Prices are reasonable to allow variety. Wow. Just wow . Food was served quickly and perfectly. I loved that they had an electronic menu with photos- my mom wanted to see it because she had no idea what any of it was. Our server was patient and gave great recommendations. This was a stop through visit and we only had to wait about 10 minutes. My understanding is that usually the line is out the door and down the sidewalk. If you're in the area give them a try- or get it to go. It's first come, first serve, and for good reason. Inside, it's decorated super cute, and one of the coolest parts is the window where you can watch them making the food fresh. We ordered the beef rougamo, which was kind of like an arepa and packed with flavor with just a little spice, the pork soup dumplings, the scallion pancake beef roll, and the beef stir-fried hand-pulled noodles. Food came out quickly and great quantity for the price! Pork soup dumplings: excellent! You can customize the sauce and oil you dip these in and the texture was great and pork was flavorful. Lamb rougamo: not my favorite but my boyfriend loved! Lamb was great, but bread was a bit doughy and dry for me. Spicy chicken stir fry with thick noodle: amazing noodles! Located in a busy shopping center along Gunbarrel, there is plenty of parking. It's all across a busy traffic lane from the entrance but traffic was quite considerate so crossing was without incident. There are also numerous handicapped spaces near the entrance. There is a ramp for access to the sidewalk close to the entrance. You enter through a set of double doors. The cashier is straight ahead in the corner. Seating is a mix of tables and booths. We were greeted after entering and told there would be a 20 minute wait for dining in. There were at least three tables and one booth which appeared clean and ready for customers, but there were several people waiting outside on the sidewalk. We were going to eat there but decided to place the order as to go. We were provided menus and given several minutes to decide. We then flagged a server to place our order. After placing the order we were then told it would be 20 to 30 minutes to receive our order. Since this was well after the lunch rush we would have preferred having this information up front to make a better informed decision on if we really wanted to wait that long. Still, with all the good reviews we decided this was our chance so we kept the order. Since we didn't have any other plans in that area, we waited in the car since it was a pretty nice day. I went back inside after 20 minutes and was able to flag someone down to check on our order. It was not ready so I waited in the one chair near the door. I did not see a line on the sidewalk this time, but a couple people came in after me and were told it would be 20 minutes for a table. Again, there were several clean tables but they were filled over the next 10 minutes or so. My order was ready in another 15 minutes, so 35 minutes from initially placing the order. It was packaged in sturdy clamshell containers and did not spill during the short ride home. The roast pork fried rice was fine. There was a decent amount of pork included. The flavor was good, although I did not notice anything unique based on their description being "Home made". The dish included peas, small pieces of carrot, and a few pieces of scrambled egg. The overall flavor was fine but nothing stood out. The chicken stir fry noodle (knife sliced) was another decent dish, if not notable. Inside, very typical small, clean, optimal use of the space, the kitchen area, now that's a bit different, if you go and watch the team work on all the noodle options they make available to their customer. The staff, quick to be there, friendly, helpful, a key component because this is not your typical Chinese restaurant. My dish, the chicken stir-fry with the hand-sliced noodles. It was so tasty, the vegetables, all fresh, crispy, none of that overcooking you too often get with your veggies. You have all kinds of options on your noodles, the cut, the thickness, what a great touch! This was delicious, a real surprise, and I will be back, even though I hate Hamilton Place. It was delicious, the cucumbers were crunchy and tasted fresh. And the vinegar wasn't too strong, it was just right. And the noodles dishes we had were so good as well. The noodles had great consistency, it was chewy and absorbed the flavors so well. My mom and I really liked the broth. It was not too salty, not too light of a broth but complemented the meat and veggies in the soup. The green veggies in the soup tasted so fresh too. And I loved my Beef Stir Fried Hand Pulled Noodle dish. There was so much flavor: I loved the different textures from the wood ear mushroom to the noodles. The beef in both the soup and the stir fried noodles were pretty good. I have no complaints, I thoroughly loved every single thing I tried here. This location is extremely convenient when heading north on i-75 because it is right off the interstate at exit 5. Stand out dishes here are S-Tier : 1 Knife sliced noodles - Dry beef cumin or Da Pan Ji 大盘鸡 2 Hand-pulled noodles - Duck noodle soup 3 Shengjianbao - A little oily, but still delicious and not overseasoned like what we have in Metro Atlanta. Mid- Tier : 4 Lamb roujiamou - Mostly because they use ground lamb instead of sliced, and flavor is lacking. Needs more cumin, garlic, cilantro. Stopped in Chattanooga for a day and found this place through TT. Came here around 1130 on Sunday, and we were lucky enough to beat the crowd. By noon the place was packed. They just opened and only have a few servers on the ground so you need to be patient. They are very attentive and while we did not need help with the menu, we overheard the waitress explaining the menu items in detail to another table. Really loved how she took the time to answer their questions and give recommendations even though they were so busy. They didn't have the garlic green beans so we got the cucumber salad, stir fried tomato and eggs, lamb rougaro, and beef scallion pancake roll. The cucumber salad has delicate flavor full of sesame and garlic. It's nice and refreshing and great palate cleanser for the rest of the meal. Paired with their chili oil which is delightfully toasty (but not very spicy), it's very good. The tomato and eggs are really good. It seems like such a simple dish but the eggs are fried perfectly and the tomatoes melt down into a wonderful umami stew. Great over rice. The lamb burger was only okay but i topped it with the tomatoes from the egg dish and it really popped it off. The beef scallion rolls were good as well. About 1230 the line was out the door, but only about 6 -8 people waiting.. The staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered the beef stir fry regular and with the fettuccine style noodles., the soup dumplings, and what they call a Chinese hamburger ( we got the pork one) . Stir fry was very good once we added some of the chili crisp oil to it, and the soup dumplings were delicious. I was really wanting to try that burger and was disappointed as it had very Little flavor. We did add some of the chili crisp oil to the "burger" but I still didn't care for it.
