The other guide seemed to be rather mean with the horses.i didn't catch his name, as after he came over and interrupted while I was spending time with a horse to show someone how "if a horse likes you you can do whatever to it" and while he was roughing up the horses, the horse got nippy with him and he hit him pretty hard on the nose. If it weren't for the second guides actions it would have been a perfect 5 star visit but I can't overlook those actions.

It is a small run business and having someone man a phone is costly on a business so we won't complain.

I've…read morelived in Ocala for about 3 years and have been a boarder and employee at several farms all over the Ocala area and I can honestly say this is definitely a great farm. For full care, it's average price for the area and everyone is open to their own feed and turnout schedules. I visit the farm 1-2x daily, and all of the horses on the farm are always happy and fed in a timely matter. The owners are fantastic, they're always a text or phone call away and easy to work with. The other boarders are also very easy to get along with and the barn has a great atmosphere. The grounds are kept tidy and I've never experienced any issues here!

I did have to be careful skating as the trail is paved through natural FL brush & fields and twigs, stones & leaves can put you on your face quickly. There are clean bathrooms & water fountains before the trailheads. There are pet rules that I've not noted because I don't have pets. I assume the pet info is on the website. It's Florida, therefore it's hot & without preparation you're subject to dehydration, bring water bottles or stay near the fountains. There are also insects, so some type of repellant is always a good idea for outdoor activities in FL. & there's very little shade, so a sunscreen is suggested. The playground is clean with both natural ground (mulch covered) or a cushioned cover. It was designed for all ages & those with disabilities. My 8 year old nephew & 6 year old niece enjoyed it all immensely.

They were very informative and kept us aware of the sights that we were seeing and the ecosystem of Lake Griffin in relation to the Harris Chain of Lakes. Great ride! The Withlacoochie State Trail is 47 miles long . I started on the north end rode 30…read moremiles south & then returned. I would have preferred to ride the entire length, but would have needed a shuttle back. The trail is entirely paved & very smooth. Mostly cyclists & e-bikers were on the trail, but there were also runners, roller bladers & skateboarders. The trail has mile markers to keep track of your distance, many benches for rest stops & bathrooms. There are also several places near the trail to get a bite to eat or quench your thirst. The trail runs thru several small towns. I passed thru Floral City & Inverness. Inverness was a real treat. They have welcomed the trail into their town & built up a beautiful park around it. I enjoyed a stopover for a beer at the Depot. Inside they had duckpin bowling & outside a barn-like concert venue. I wish that I lived closer, I'd frequent this trail often
