Oxford Cleaners ruined one of my best shirts by crushing the collar. I brought it back and they tried to redo the pressing but the indent was still there. When I brought the shirt back in to show them and ask for reimbursement, the manager said he will not even though one employee previously said they would. Very disappointed with their POOR customer service after years of my business. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND them!! Needless to say, I will be using one of their competitors. read more

Moved to this area a few years ago and started to use Oxford cleaners and was satisfied, although I found them to be a bit more expensive than those I had been using. Realized today I had not picked up a wool sweater I had dropped off about a month ago. I could not find my receipt, but I gave the girl at the desk my information and she could not give me my sweater as she had no record of it. The only record she had referred to a few shirts I had picked up the last time I was there, a few days ago. I am over 70 years old. I have used many dry cleaners over the years. I have NEVER had a facility tell me they had no record of my previous transactions. Am I now minus a $100 sweater that is only a year old? Stay away!!!!!! read more

Consistently good dry cleaner. In house tailor too. Can't comment on the tailor, I haven't used them yet. Coupons are frequently sent out in the ValPak and Rare Reminder in town. Prices are fair and they get out common stains with ease. I've also had them launder my king-size comforter that has silk, satin and brocade on it without any damage or color changes (this is not an easy feat). Sometimes more difficult stains don't come out, my daughter had an unidentified yellow mark on her brand new wool coat, and they couldn't get it. I thought it would be an easy one for them, but I guess not. Staff is generally friendly, and I have been remembered the past 2-3 times I've been in. Not sure if this is because of me or the baby on my arm, but regardless, they've been warm and polite. read more

This review is only for their pick-up & delivery service. I finally accepted the fact that I will never have time to drop off and pick up my drycleaning. So I signed up for their pick-up & delivery service. They have done three sets of clothes now, and have done a good job with all of them (including getting stains out of a white blazer, and replacing a button that was missing on a pair of pants). Oxford Cleaners lost two of my brand-new shirts and have refused to address the issue. I have gotten a run-around for over a month regarding resolution. This is the second time they have lost articles of mine. Their management of items left in the after-hours dropbox is not reliable and their willingness to take responsibility is non-existent. I dropped off one shirt and one jacket to be cleaned and pressed at Oxford Cleaners. I was given one ticket for each item that totaled $ 14.30, on July 30, 2020. Today when I picked up the two items, I was charged $ 28.60, because the woman said that I picked up the same jacket and shirt on July 30, 2020, but did not pay for them at the time. I explained to her that I only had one jacket (Uniform) and one shirt (Uniform) and I had not dropped off anything there in several years until late last month. She was insistent that I had picked up exactly what I dropped off. I asked to speak with the manager, but she said he would not be in until Monday and I had to wait until then. I asked her to check the video since the store has CCTV cameras. She said only the manager can do that. So now I have to wait at least 5 days to get the refund and apology that I deserve. read more

I literally would give this place zero stars if that was an option. I have always sworn by this place but never again. I brought in a toddler dress that was all cotton with a very small amount of tulle on the bottom and a cardigan sweater and I was charged $38!!!! I literally could not believe it. I have never been charged so much ever. The manager/owner didn't give a crap and basically just shrugged his shoulders at me. He told me the toddler (COTTON) dress was $22!!! And my sweater which is usually $8 was $16 because it had to be spot cleaned! Isn't that the entire point of having things dried cleaned!??? So they can actually be cleaned? Unfortunately, I have had a terrible experience. I brought in a dress and a cardigan for a cleaning. The dress had a stain. When I picked up the dress, they had not gotten the stain out and the cardigan ( I discovered when I got home - they did not inform me.) had melted buttons. The cardigan was from BHWM and pricey. I returned the sweater. The service was good, they agreed to replace the buttons. Upon my return, they had put large plastic black buttons that did not match the silver pronged jeweled buttons. Still, they did not agree to reimburse me and said the manager would call me. He never did, so I called 24 hours later. He said it was my job to find matching buttons and they'll replace them. I told him I didn't have time to fix their mistake, it's their job. He did not agree with that, and said he didn't see the buttons. I told him to get someone who DID see the buttons and get them replaced correctly or reimburse me. He told me vaguely that he'd do it when he had time. I pinned him down for a week and a half away! Well that is not my experiences with Battistons twice now I brought my cloths their and some time went by and I did not pick them up when I went to get my cloths they told me that they can't find them. I had a feeling that they were sold this time I insist that they find my cloths and what do you know they found my cloths and on top of all that the woman that was looking for them was very rude. read more

I will NOT go to Battistons again. I've tried them several times, and have not been satisfied, but kept giving them another chance. However the latest incident put the icing on the cake, and I will go elsewhere. I have used the tailor. The work she did on my dress was great, but I had to go there 3 times before I could actually pick up my dress. I went during business hours when they told me it would be ready, and they wouldn't give it to me because the tailor wasn't there. They said that only she could give it to me. I asked when she would be there, and they gave me a day and time. I went back at that time, and she wasn't there again, and so they wouldn't give me my dress again! I went back a third time, and she was finally there, and they let me have my dress. I couldn't believe the problem just to pick up a dress! As I said the work she did was great, but it shouldn't be such a hassle to pick something up. I then took my comforter to be dry cleaned. It took them three weeks to do it. That just seems like a very long time to me. I also didn't think they did a really good job on the comforter. A couple weeks ago I brought three dress shirts of my boyfriend there to be dry cleaned. He picked them up on the day they said they would be ready without a problem. However on Saturday he went to put one on for a dinner event that we were going to. There were these HUGE indentations across each shirt in several places. It's hard to even describe them, but you could not wear the shirts at all. We brought them back to the cleaner, and the girl there said she didn't think they would be able to get that out, and that there was nothing they could do. My boyfriend ended up speaking to the owner on the phone, who said to leave the shirts, and he would be there later, and call us on Sunday to let us know what could be done. Meanwhile we had to rush to get ready for our plans that evening, and he had to find something else to wear. So Sunday came and went and no phone call. I called Monday morning and spoke to someone who told me she would be able to get the marks off, and that there would be no sign of them at all, and to pick them up later in the day. My boyfriend picked them up. One of them was fine, and the other two were much better, but there were still marks on them, although not as bad as before. The young man that was working when my boyfriend went to pick them up told him that was "normal" and that all shirts that are dry cleaned have those marks on them. He took the shirts and left. I went back there, and said that I was told all the marks would be gone, and that this was not acceptable. While the girl that helped me wasn't rude, she was very indifferent, like she didn't really care one way or the other. The other person that my boyfriend had picked the shirts up from started to tell me that all shirts that come out have marks on them. I told him I've never had that problem before, and he told me then it must've been a very small shirt. I have NO idea what he's talking about. The girl said the only thing they could do is to try to put them through again. I told her I did not want to leave the shirts there again, and that I wanted my money back and I would take them to a cleaner that knows what they are doing. She gave us back our money and we left. Besides the indifferent treatment from her, and the rudeness from him, what really bothers me is that all three of these shirts had huge marks on them, marks that you couldn't miss, and they just packaged them up and gave them back to us like that. Also, there was never an "I'm sorry for your trouble" or ANY type of regret on their part at all. So as far as rating them, they are AWFUL, and I will NEVER go back there again. What ever happened to customer service?? You won't find it at Battistons in Glastonbury. Also, it seems you HAVE to fill in a star for the post to be accepted.
