First off, they're very Covid conscious. If you don't want to go inside, you can give them a call and they will bring your items outside to you. There is hand sanitizer everywhere, and everyone wears masks. Second - my goodness, everyone is SO NICE. Super helpful. I needed to get a prescription filled, and they had me entered into the system quickly and filled the prescription within 15 minutes. They also worked with me on a flu shot I had scheduled to reschedule me to when I wasn't on a steroid treatment. They never made me feel like I was inconveniencing them or putting them out, they were truly happy to just be helping me. You're not going to be getting a huge selection of everything you want or need for your pharmacy needs (it's not a Walgreens), but they are going to have something for you. Prices are a little higher, but hey, it's an island. In addition to the 'pharmacy' section, the General Store has a large selection of goods. There is a huge selection for kids - toys, markers, crayons, etc., amongst seasonal items. We're really grateful to have Ray's just a stones throw away for whatever we need!

Then starts questioning us on not purchasing other things in the area that we had nothing to do with. on our way to checkout she is following us talking to another lady calling us "pesky teenagers" then before we leave she stops us and again and berates us then watched us leave. I also found there are more local made products within the store so as to support local producers, yes, the price maybe a bit higher then national brands, but if we all chip in and help buy local, we are helping our society to recover faster! I told them to keep it. They sell the Bon Mamam jam for $9.99! Most places are $5.99 and often less on sale. I also recall buying 6 hot dog buns, a bag of chips and 4 oranges one day that came up at over $18! It's crazy! Their quality and store practises aren't much better. There is no such thing as day old bakery here... they sell in store baked baked goods three to five days old as fresh in bags and purposely make sure the old dates are up front so people grab those . They also stop baking early in the day and often have no hamburger or hotdog buns by early afternoon - even in the summer bbq season. And they don't care. Deli items such as clerk served salads etc are outrageous. And the best part is there is rarely more than one check out open even on a Friday afternoon when people are stopping in for dinner or a few weekend items. They even have an actual pharmacy where prescriptions can be called in by your doctor. I did not have any encounters with the pharmacy area, but came in here mainly for toiletry items. The items are easy to find since the labeling on the isles are descriptive. They have a limited amount of body wash selection, but a larger amount of shampoos/conditioners. The difficult part about this small pharmacy is the space inside. There is little to no space to walk. When it came time to pay it was just a blob of people. They had one person working at the cashier and five people in line. It was really ridiculous. They finally called another cashier after about 5 minutes. They need to get people in and out fast due to the limited amount of space in the place.

This visit was prompted by a phone call from the grand-daughter in Calgary, who wanted her to catch a treat for me, as part of a "Welcome Home" from the hospital. She did, and found a large, box of 'President's Choice' cookies that appeared to have my name of it. The box of cookies was delivered to 'me' (= my lady & I) a couple of days ago, along with several other neat treats (like ice cream & bananas, a selection of cheeses, and the like). Some good stuff to enjoy over the days ahead. I am very thankful for the well-wishes, and glad she found a treat at 'Shoppers' I can enjoy for a good while.
