When it gets crowded, they don't allow everyone in but we just had to wait a couple of minutes for our turn to go inside. They have really good deals on snacks and beverages. I can't get mad at my local GO's staff for being a bit rough, they have to throw out homeless people and drug addicts every single day. Anyway, the staff here were very nice and greeted me. They even asked if I liked the store and if it was my first time in it. They seemed to actually care! I wish I could have had more of that frozen food aisle but because I am working it was a no go. I did pick up a lot of Bang energy drinks for 99! Yay! At my local GO they were $1.99 so what a win! One of the flavors is "purple kiddles " which is cryptic and nonsensical to me...so I know I'm in for a treat! The beer selection didn't get my motor running but they had a sizable wine assortment. They also had the hard stuff but I didn't take the time for all that. My heart belongs to my Whistle Pig at the moment so... the heart wants what it wants! Also if you're into weird products... just don't wait around... snap up what you want because like most things, it won't be waiting around forever! Owners were very kind and patient with any of the questions I had here and the two female workers I saw were awesome and friendly. It may sound costly, but you will never want any other carne asada in the entire WORLD. After cooking this meat on the grill many, many times, I've realized that I have never found any other carne asada that comes close to this meat in quality, tenderness, or flavor anywhere. It is amazing and well worth the price you pay for it. Try $3/lb carne and $6/lb carne and you'll definitely taste the difference. That is, unless you've been drinking all afternoon before you ate... in which case, everything magically tastes great and you'd probably be too inebriated to make any sort of judgment at all. Kennedy's Market and their alleged "best carne asada in Imperial Valley" will never compare to El Sol's carne asada. Ever. It's one of very few things I miss about the Valley.
