J&J is not a real business. It is a fraud business. The owner, Jeffrey Eckstrom, will make promise…read moreafter promise, but not live up to those promises. Instead, he'll only show up when he wants money. If you're under contract with J&J already, get out while you still can. J&J is not a registered business in NY, nor in PA. J&J, along with Jeff, has multiple claims against them/him, and multiple UCC liens against them. My wife and I hired J&J after we didn't do enough homework on the company. We signed a contract in January of 2024 for exterior painting. Jeff, the owner, agreed the work could be done by our requested deadline of July 4. Jeff sent poor quality individuals to pressure wash our house in March. That work was not completed until May. Jeff promised to return within a few weeks to start painting but didnt show up until Late September after additional promises to show up in August. When work started, the crew was very unprofessional. They sat in the work vans for 30 minutes after showing up, worked for an hour, took 30 minute break, worked another hour, took an hour lunch, and then would often leave for the day by 3:00. I started keeping a record of weather, and number of guys that showed up. By the time we fired Jeff Eckstrom and his fraudulent company in late October, they were barely 1/3 done with painting our house, and had only actually worked about 11 full days (if you count the delayed starts with excessive breaks full days) The straw that broke the camels back was when Jeff showed up asking for additional down payment saying he was already in the red on our job. After writing another small check, I thought better of my decision and ordered a stop payment. Glad I did. The guy tried sending new painters he just hired that week, so I put in a stop work order and sent them packing. Best decision I made in regards to working with J&J and Jeff Eckstrom.
