CRS was recommended by a family member. Louie Head showed up, inspected our roof and provided a detailed estimate. Their estimate was reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done. I had a number of questions that he answered readily and we went ahead with the job. A few days later they called to ask if they could start a week or two earlier than planned (When has THAT happened with a contractor??). The next morning they showed up a little after 7:00. By 2:00 pm they had replaced all the shingles, two skylights and 11 pieces of OSB. Louie went around the job site with a blower, carefully picking up any nails or small pieces of debris. He showed me multiple photos so I could see what was done during the job. This was a first-rate job and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again. read more

CRS is an outstanding roofing company. Responsive, knowledgeable, reliable, and thorough, they are vastly superior to any of the other roofers I used for 20 years before discovering them 5+ years ago. I have used CRS multiple times to work on a flat roof and a pitched asphalt roof. I honestly can't say enough about their diligence, professionalism, and capabilities. They want to solve the problem, and present the best solution, even if it isn't the most profitable for them. My first experience with them was when I had a mysterious leak. Jairo was the 3rd person I met after appointments with 2 other roofers who both proposed a new roof and various other expensive, involved treatments. Nothing that those roofers proposed would have solved my leak. Jairo, the flat roof whisperer, was able to diagnose the problem, which only needed the correct caulk, placed in the correct position! The leak was solved for good. Simple? Only if you had the eyes, intelligence and capacity to figure it out. This is just one example among several other experiences that have caused me to have such confidence and relief in finding CRS. (PLEASE READ BOTTOM REVIEW FIRST) * The back side was bare with holes in it, some only through outer insulation board which left inner rolled insulation exposed to rain. I emailed secretary immediately. When she came in that morning her reply was "I want to personally apologize to you about all of this. This isn't okay and I agree with you". We will do everything in our power to make it right with you". Fortunately it didn't rain much that morning, but enough. The workers showed up around 8:00 and started rushing to put 1 x 4's on back side because rain was coming. Now on the back side the Mexicans were nailing wood down as they weren't allowed to do on the front side while the Mennonites started laying steel on the front side Then they all started to put down bubble wrap on the back side as fast as they could this time running it lengthwise and overlapping because rain was coming. They got near the top and it poured as they rushed to finish it. In the rain they started to lay metal. The rain stopped as they finished both sides including trim. The last thing they did that day is put a gutter back up on front side over three doors. My two elbows would not connect gutter to downspout because eve was much shorter than original. I had to explain that a short male/female piece would connect the two if installed at a slight angle after they couldn't figure out how to fit my two elbows in there. The young man measured distance and said he would be back next morning with the piece and install it. When he showed up I so much wanted to tell him that I will install it myself because I really didn't think he was capable of doing it, but I didn't. The piece was too long so he lifted the gutter up to install it. Then he tightened up a couple cheesy straps they use to hold gutter up leaving many of them loose on that end. Now I have a gutter that is high on both ends leaving water lying in the middle. I found an old rusty screw on the front gable end of my building in the new trim. Having brought big bags of these screws and not leaving me even one screw I will leave it there as a reminder of what is underneath my roof. I will be damned if I would ask them to fix this after all I have been through so at 66 years old I will have to go up there and fix that myself. I do not want these people on my property again. There are some other things I learned and realized in these few days of hell while suffering from severe anxiety problems. When David came to look at this job I distinctly asked him if they do steel roofs, his reply was "yes, we do a lot of them". A Mennonite gentleman told me that CRS does not do any metal roofing, they subcontract them to do it. I could have saved money and got a lot better job if I had just hired the Mennonites to do this roof. I now believe this is why CRS waited a good five months to show up, the Mennonites were busy and CRS did not have anyone else capable of doing a large steel roof. When I later confronted the young CRS employee about everything that happened he told me "these things never happen, all of our customers are happy with our work". As the only employee CRS sent was not here much of the time, neither CRS nor I completely know what is up there. The material to do this job should have been lying in my large parking lot days before they showed up. Even though my contract says "Clean job site from all debris and dispose", my brother and I picked up at least four or five handfuls of nails and screws that we could see. I borrowed a metal detector to find the rest. During the seven months I waited I had friends teasing me about Mexican workers. I replied that if they can do this job and do it right I don't care what nationality they are. All of these gentlemen did the best they could with what they had in their hands and more importantly in their heads. I shook their hands at the end of each day and thanked them for the work they did. I would not blame the workers for much of what you read. I had to tell the young CRS employee many times that this was not his fault, and that he has "piss poor management". I just received a bill for the full remaining amount and had to pay it, just a final slap in the face. I will never not recommend or recommend CRS to anyone.
