They take their time to explain anything you might need and make proper recommendations. The plates are on a smaller size, so if you have a big appetite you will have to order quite a bit, however, every single item was a hit. Each dish is creative, with perfectly combined flavors, nicely balanced, textures on point, and the presentations are stunning. A work of art comes to your table every time. It's difficult to suggest individual dishes because I can say that everything is fabulous but the Ceviche was something supernatural. Don't forget the cocktails! They are another experience in themselves. Same standard of beautiful presentation and great flavor combinations to choose from. This hidden spot deserves more recognition than it has. Was eventually escorted into the restaurant. Seating is like a giant oval around an open kitchen. Energy is electric, loud, stimulating. Almost feels like your dining outside in a street food alley with neon signs everywhere. The food consisted of fusion and/or modern interpretations of street food classics from across Asia, and other parts of the world too. Highlights for us included the crudo japo-mexican de salmon and chili crab concha blanda. We did find that there was a high degree of citrus and thought that the tako de pulpo was a bit too acidic. Any menu would usually offer 2-4 options each of beverage (wine), starter, main meal, and dessert. Everything was meticulously presented from start to finish. The homemade ceviche was tart yet subtly sweet. The starter was the only mild disappointment since it was only a crab-and-avocado sushi. My main dish of salmon with pureed potatoes was delightful. The salmon was cooked grilled to medium rare, extremely tender with every bite. I cleaned the plate clean with my bread to soak up every bit of the pureed potato sauce. The dessert was a lemon tart uniquely made with meringue shards on top and dusted with powdered sugar. The restaurant itself is Spanish-Asian fusion with rustic wooden chairs and industrial lighting (see photos). Service was friendly and efficient, and my waitress was patient with me as I placed my order in middle school-level Spanish. I also appreciate that we were given flour tortilla wrappers for the Peking duck rather than bao buns! I would say it is better than some of the Chinese restaurants I have eaten at in the states! There are many stalls that set up at both events, but this one has real potential. Kitchen 154 is a taco stand that serves a few of the best tacos I have tasted, period. Not just in Madrid, but on the grander scale. The fare ranges from Asian fusion to authentic Mexican, and the menu also offers delicious steamed dumplings. Notable tacos include the Korean taco (with real kimchi!), the chicken Masala taco and of course the old favorite, the cochinita pibil. In addition to these already satisfying recipes, a range of accompanying sauces are available to mix and match with your order. Notable entries include the habañero mango salsa, the "Inca Blood" Peruvian salsa, and the "Juche" Korean salsa. The names are funny, but these sauces are serious in their distinctive flavors and compliment the menu options well. The team is a pair of Spanish guys and an Argentine, all three of whom are super-kind and endearingly funny. The stand is perfectly bilingual as they have traveled a lot and along the way have perfected their taco recipes. The prices are a little steep, at 2-3 Euros per taco. I ordered the Mussaman curry with chicken, and was delighted to find that the curry was also full of fresh veggies: eggplant, BRUSSEL SPROUTS, zucchini, carrots, bell peppers, etc. Rice does not automatically come with the curry, so be sure to order a side of the jasmine rice to go with your meal! The curry is enough for 2 meals, and the leftovers the next day were just as good. My friends also got another curry and the chicken satay and were very impressed.
